The genesis of the grow began 21/7/23 with a tropicana cookies auto, strawberry banana auto, strawberry gorilla auto all from fastbuds and 1 power plant auto from dutch passion. the power plant and strawberry gorilla germinations were unsuccessful, so after some time i acquired a cinderella auto and california snow auto both from fastbuds which germinated successfully on 8/8/23.
most grows in these 5 gallon pots, i generally water them twice a week, the first watering with main nutrients and about 3-4 days later when the pots are much lighter, i water again with cal-mag approx. 2-3 ml per liter and occasionally add great white mycorrhizae. i dont always add it if the plants look healthy, but generally want to make sure it has enough because ive made mistakes in the past.
defoliating any leaves on the inner that cover lower nodes and bud sites. just maintaining and cruising along. checking leaves for any signs of stress/deficiencies etc. nothing bad to report.
just continuing with little defoliation when necessary. noticing loads of bud sites relatively close to each other. always amazed by how fast these auto's switch into flower. generally around this time, about a couple days after i give them their first feeding of tiger bloom, they stretch a bit more and hopefully we'll start to see the trichome production begin.
Introducing bloom nutes. last big defoliation of the grow as to not slow them down anymore will be this week. from now on just removing leaves that are completely covering nodes or are at the very bottom. middle of week 5 starting to see some trichomes forming.
This week its easy to tell the tropicana cookies will finish way before the strawberry banana as expected. I also gave them a tea of 5 ml's of blackstrap molasses, 5 ml's of concentrated kelp, 2 tablespoons of earthworm castings and 5 grams of mycorrhizae to 1 gal. of R/O water brewed for a day and PH'd to 6.8.
light defoliation, maintaining PH, checking twice a day for any weirdness. the tropicana smells incredible!! super fruity with a lot going on with the terps. strawberry banana is just now starting to show her trich's and they smell more banana than strawberry for now. i hope the strawberry comes through in the end but regardless, she's going to be a monster yielder so long as everything continues to go well. wish me luck!!
so far looking good. most of the pistils on the tropicana cookies are still white so she's got at least maybe 2 more weeks left. i'll probably stop feeding her nute's. the smells are really heavy on the citrus side and with a backround smell of almost like a fruit bowl. cant wait to try em!
So far so good. The Tropicana Cookies has been flushing for a few days and i'd say has about a week give or take judging by the pistils and trich's. The Strawberry Banana is getting insanely frosty and smells super sweet!
The tent this week smells ridiculous!! The Tropicana Cookies has been flushing for about a week now and has been fading nicely!! She'll be done within a week by the looks. The Strawberry Banana is packing loads of trichs and she's massive!! Overall doing well. This will probably be the last week for nutes on the Strawberry Banana. I'll be sure to post picks of the Tropicana Cookies if it happens before next week.
My first time growing fast buds so i was playing it safe with the nutes. after this run i can tell i can pump em harder next go. just need a better light 😅
Great cultivar to work with!! short, sweet and to the pointed cola's! She smells super fruity and finished in only 78 days from seed to harvest. most if not all of the trich's are cloudy but im sure she could go for at least another week... but im chompin at the bit to try her out! I dont typically do a wet weight, so in a week or so when shes dry ill post her dry weight and pictures ofc. I'd recommend this girl to anyone who wants a short easily manageable great smelling beautiful grow. with better lights she could easily get way bigger than this! Thanks fast buds!! so far your 1 for 4!! we'll see how the other 3 turn out! EDIT: so its been about a week and she's dryed at around 42 grams. she looks really nice and i can smell citrus and if i smell in the cola she's got a sweeter smell that im sure will come out more after she's cured for a few weeks! the smoke is smooth af thanks to the flush and she's got a nice flavor and the high at first is uplifting and heady then a chill type relaxed vibe after about 15 min. but its clearly muted and needs time to mature. I'll give another update when she's primed and ready and her terps are in full force! really hoping the tangie comes out!!
i live in the tropics so keeping a cool tent (ie below 28c) for me is a real challenge. My plants often get heat stress very easily and cindy deff got some heat stress but having said that, she bounced back once i got the temps down. I harvested her early due to the heat tho she had at least another week to 2 weeks left in her. regardless im very happy with the outcome and cant wait to shmoke err!
This grow went very smooth with nute's, PH, lighting etc. only real challenge is managing temps. next grow will be winter here which doesnt mean cold lol but it will at least be cooler than this run. cheers!
great strain, smells really strong sour fruitiness. my grow was cut a little short due to heat but she only had a couple weeks left maybe so im not stressin. cant wait to try her after the cure and ill be sure to post the yield!
a good grow overall minus the heat. nutes performed great and didnt have any other issues with pests or ph or anything like that. very interested to see how the smoke turns out!!
So she's been on the flush for a couple days since taking these photo's. This plant here is by far the most vigorous I've ever grown. She smells super sweet and fruity and has so many chunky cola's! I can't wait to try her! I don't know if I got lucky with this pheno or if they all grow this vigorous, so I'll deff be growing this one again in the future to find out :)
So she's been on the flush for about a week and she's fading nicely and thickening up a lot! This is a very healthy cultivar with loads of potential! now im just keeping an eye on her trich's and i'll update if harvest before next week. She smells super sweet its hard to explain kinda. really complex and im hoping for a good dry and cure to see those terps to the end!
i'll deff be growing this one again. from her smell to her vigorous growth to her resistance to heat, she performed 10/10 for all of them. this is for sure the biggest auto ive grown thus far and i'm really looking foward to smoking her.
This grow was incredibly smooth and went without a hitch. I cant stress enough how well this girl performed! 2 of the other plants took a little hit in the tent from the heat, but this girl didnt even notice it. of all 4 fast buds cultivars grown in my tent this run, this strawberry banana is by far my first recommendation for new or experienced growers. gg fast buds <3
@Tone_Purp, hey, sorry about that. I start with around 20ish with R/O water and it starts around 200-300 at the beginning of the grow and ends around 1400 during the last feed. sorry i just forgot to update it because i often forget to record that data. im generally more concerned with the PH. I've used these nutes before and i have terrible lights so i never push higher than 1500 ppm/1.7 EC.

@BarneyRumble420, gonna dry and cure first so ill letcha know in about 3 weeks or so. the tropicana cookies is almost ready to try in a couple days so ill be sure to post a smoke report on her, i opened her jar this morning and woosh!! straight citrus candy with almost a tiny diesel smell.
