Simple cloning technique

Do you want to make clones in a simple way and without expensive products? Here goes a simple guide diary based on my experience You only need: - Some scissors - Plastic pots of 250 ml or 400 ml (but a 250 ml plastic cup works if you make 4 or 5 holes in the base) - Light Mix substrate - A PET plastic water jug (which is transparent) And the magic ingredient, which is in your pantry or in your supermarket next to your house, is... Honey And of course, you need a photoperiodic Cannabis plant that is at least 30 days old from which you want to take the clones How to do it? We start by preparing the materials 1. Fill the pot or cup with Light Mix substrate to the top 2. Water slowly with rested tap water (without chlorine) with pH adjusted to 6.4 - 6.6 until the pot drains slightly (the soil should remain well moist) 3. Take the water jug and cut the top third, making a cut as parallel as possible to the base. Discard the cap. 4. Prepare a low container (a low shot glass, a bowl for soy sauce like in the photos...) and fill it with honey 5. Take the scissors and head to your plant 6. Go to a main branch (if you want to take advantage and do topping) or a lateral one that has more than three nodes 7. Cut the branch at 45° below the second node starting from the top, leaving about 5 cm below the 2nd node 8. Trim the leaves of your clone so that you only leave two-thirds of each leaf (see the photos) 9. Your clone should measure 8 - 10 cm and you should have a base stem (which will be the future area where the roots come out) of about 5 cm 10. Immerse the base of the stem (4-5 cm) in the honey for 5 minutes 11. With the help of a pencil or a fine brush, make a hole in the substrate of the same depth as the stem you are immersing in honey. The idea is that when inserting the stem with the honey, we do NOT remove the honey because the hole is too narrow. That is, the hole must be wider than the diameter of the stem + honey 12. Insert the stem with the honey into the hole and then gently press the substrate to make it firm 13. Place the pot in an area with indirect sunlight (a north-facing balcony, a windowsill...) or in the grow room with 18 hours of light under the mother (which should also be indirect light). The temperature should be between 20 to 30 °C 14. Cover the clone with the "half" jug you cut previously to provide high ambient humidity In about 15 days (or 20 days) you will have your clones ready for transplanting! You can check that they are doing well by carefully checking their root ball and observing their roots, but BE CAREFUL, do not do this until 10 days to avoid damaging the roots. You will also see new shoots and leaves appear in 7 to 10 days! If you see that the leaves are drooping, it is because there is a lack of humidity You have two options: water again or place the jug cap to increase the interior humidity Go for it, it's very easy and you don't need complex products! Pro tip: you can replace the half jug with a propagator or a mini greenhouse for better humidity control, but it is NOT necessary You can see how well these clones have turned out for me with a half jug!
