October 24, 2018, watered all plants. October 25, 2018 topped 3 plants for the 2nd time. GDP#2 did not do 2nd topping. October 27, 2018 watered all plants. GDP #2 was root bound, transplanted into one gallon pot. Bagseed #2 roots were peeking out of holes, transplanted in 2 gallon pot. GDP #1 roots are peek at the pot holes, will be transplanting very soon. Today is October 28, 2018, minimal defoliating. Going to allow plants to grow a bit without much defoliating. My goal is to get height of 1 foot to 1.5 foot before I begin flower stage since they double/triple in height then. I removed all items plants were sitting on for height. Lights are 18 inches from top of plants. When watering, ph is 6.2, temp 75F, ppm differs due to which week I am in for nutes. Today is November 2, 2018, I watered all plants with only cal-mag, no other nutes, ph 6.2. No pics yet, waiting a few days.

@@grzesiek, Yes it WAS a male...I wrote that in the description that its a male and R.I.P. to him. Out of the 4, only 1 was a male. As my first grow, I learned a lot growing these 4.

Do you have a ph pen? What is the ph of your water, and how often are you watering? What is the wattage of your cfl that you are using? Please update your grow with this info so we can make some helpful comments. Good luck!

@Xquisit, same here, no nutes as hot soil should provide them.

@BeefWellingtons, Currently I am using distilled water and no added nutrients besides what the FFOF/Happy frog has in it. I did check the ph of the plain distilled water, 6.7. She has bounced back and growing more leaves.

BeefWellingtonscommented6 years ago
@Xquisit, the number one reason why plants show issues is wrong ph. The number two reason is overwatering. Those plugs you have them in are meant to hold moisture, ie every other day may be too much watering (depending on how much water you are giving them). While I'm still a newbie on here, I have looked at hundreds of grows on here. I think you are overwatering, and without a ph pen, my guess is that your ph is off as well. Once she bounces back, you can bring those light closer, Move it down to 2 inches, then a few days later if she's getting bigger and happy, move it down to 1 inch above her. Also, you need ph up/down to go with that pen.

@CRiSPrGrow, Oh, okay! The pup is a female and the plant is NOT overwatered. Plant soil was bone dry and UNDERWATERED, which leaves droop from that, thank you very much :-)

@Xquisit, well seedlings are part of the veg phase, veg is from sprout to flower.
Xquisit
Xquisitcommented6 years ago
@CRiSPrGrow, Kind of figured that but I was wondering when is the actual switch from seedling to veg...is it by the days, weeks, how many nodes have grown, etc...

@@grzesiek, I agree;however, its my first grow ever and seeds were gifted. I opted to grow them B4 growing seeds I paid for. I am glad I made that choice because beginners make beginner mistakes and I don't want to make those with seeds that I paid for. I learned so much with this first grow and I am glad I got to see, in person, how to identify male and female plants.
