Still looking good I believe! I realized I was counting the days incorrectly. I was counting from the day I planted the seed instead of the day the plant sprouted and/or showed its true leaves.
End of week 4 and it was a rough one...
I overfed on 9/11. I then let them dry out a bit too much on 9/14. Willow has recovered the best but Buffy definitely took a hit. Live and learn. Last wattering was PH'd water only. I may do this for the first water of week 5 as well.
Removed a couple lower leaves from Willow and 5-7 from Buffy.
I added a small video of the garden and will update this week further near day 35.
9/20 // The ladies rebounded nicely from the 9/11 overfeeding. Fed and watered them today. Willow at 1/4 nutes and Buffy at 1/8 nutes.
9/22 // Feeling good at the end of week 5. The ladies have responded well to the light feeding on 9/20, and I have started adding Big Bud to the mix.
Plants are looking good. I am hoping to make it through the home stretch without effing it up.
I've moved back to feeding every other watering. (one a week)
And here we go... home stretch.
Looking pretty good at the end of week 7. Buffy is showing hues of pink/purple.
I'm guessing they are going to finish at different times, and am stressing out about the drying process. I was planning on using the tent that I am growing in for the dry but may need to rethink that.
10/8 - Gave Willow her last feeding. Flushing from here on out.
10/9 - began flushing Buffy.
It is looking like Willow will go for at least a week longer than Buffy. I am scrambling to figure out an alternative drying space/option.
10/11 - began flushing Willow
10/13 - I am guessing Buffy will be harvested in the next couple days. Willow looks to need another 7-10 days.
I am so close to harvest, but days later and my estimate remains 7-10 days for Willow and 3(ish) days for Buffy. I am checking the trichomes on Buffy daily, but am not seeing amber yet.
10/14 - Gave the ladies a trim.
10/15 - Both plants were again flushed with PH'd water.
I made it! Yay! Now hopefully I won't screw them up during the drying/curing process. I am pretty happy with the results my first grow, and learned a ton. I am really looking forward to improving and dialing in my grows. The wet weight I listed is an estimate. I will follow up once the dry is complete with a final dry weight.
Lessons learned:
All plants are different even if they are the same strain/breeder. I need to monitor them individually and not as a whole.
Do not get greedy and over feed.
The plants can take the LST and defoliation like champs. Be more aggressive w/ this approach.
10/23 - The plants have been drying for 2 days. Current dry room conditions are 66 degrees Fahrenheit, with a relative humidity of 59%.
