In order to possibly solve pH problems early in growth I'm going to look at boiling the rainwater to clean it, 50/50 with dechlorinated tap water so that'll bring a balance of rainwater @ ~5.6pH + tapwater @ ~6.3pH to ~6.0-6.1pH in the end which if it works better I'll go with but only using rainwater to save on drinking water and money for the timebeing.

Thanks for the answers on the question, I'll add more Biodyne to the water. pH: I use rainwater from a collection tank which is only an average reading (5.6), the soil and rain outside is generally within that range but I don't know what the pH is exactly since pH pens here are expensive!! I know it's important but buying one is the means of difference between getting food and medicine or a pH pen... I'm sure you can answer that one yourself, I do aim to get one ASAP even if it's just simple pH paper. EC is probably incorrect but I'll edit that, I'll get Cal/Mag + pH up/down as the $$$ allow.
