Interesting packaging from Gnome Automatics. Makes this grow feel artesenal. One ring to rule them all. Found this browsing the Sativa catalogue and expect great things. This breeder came highly recommended by autoflower net people when I first started my cannabis adventure and I've been wanting to give a try.
Into the ground they go with Dyno-Myco. Got their polymer humidity amplifiers in place with some water to get all the juices flowing!
Sticky traps coming back to my grows. Glue is the undefeated pest control. I expect to spot some above ground action in the next few days and will be spraying with phed water to keep humidity up.
Turned off the dehumidifier and turning on the heater ( to kick in at nights mostly ). Temperature is dropping off and on lately.
Happy Frog 🐸 with noooo Miracle Gro. They get 50% light at first but I'll have it at 100 in a week or so.
Let's see what ya got Project 304. I've seen some glorious pics of moth man so I'm not worried.
Good first week. I have the light up to 100 and the air exhaust up to about 25% now. They have been getting lots of heat and humidity and are holding up well to the heat stress. Should be autopilot for a few weeks. Been eyeballing Cannacure reviews on GD as a preventative measure against pests along with the sticky traps.
Just started them on Rapid Start from the artist formerly known as General Hydroponics. I originally ordered this nutrient because I saw how fast @lady_nugwitch plants grow. They seem to be doing well at the recommended dosage. Might throw some fishhead farms in soon and then step them up to nutrients next week.
Noticing some light nutrient burn. This happened the last grow I did with a fresh bag of the Happy Frog soil so I'm not going to blame the rapid start. Just in case, going to use the fish head farms as a supplement instead for the next few waterings and reassess from there.
Over watered a bit last watering and letting them dry out a few more days. Then I think I'll go back to the Rapid Start during waterings and start them on their veg nutes. Look gorgeous but the leaves feel very dry/papery and I feel like I'm not giving them enough humidity.
I'll start checking VPD and upgrade my light when I have more room but for now I'll just have to deal.
Seems like a couple leaves might be clawing so will start adding cal mag and nutrients halfway through the week and see if that helps between the two.
Looking forward to those purple flowers.
The combo of letting them dry out, installing a fan and starting them on nutrients immediately made a difference. Removed the few unhealthy looking leaves from the lower. I only really take leaves that the plant seems to be having issues with and view it as helping it along with my opposable thumbs. Alternating fish head farms and rapid start during waterings and using my time honored ratios of the element nutrients. I usually see one that is much taller than the others by this time and perform lst to keep an even canopy but these three are pretty much even in height. They are thriving after nutrients when humidity is between 55-60.
Here they are looking really slim after their defoliation. Probably do one more before they are full on flowering and then just take the occasional leaf until they're done.
Rotated them so the tallest is towards the tent door. Seems like that might even out growth enough so that I don't even need to do LST. So far this is a pretty hands free grow.
Defoliation some more towards the end of the week and started them on flower nutes.
Starting off the week with a major defoliation of the fan leaves "in the middle" obstructing the bud sites and any unhealthy looking leaves. Some brilliant purple color coming through already on one of them. They are on my max mix of nutrients from now until flush. Will up the watering schedule after I see how they respond to the defoliation and the nutrients. The tallest one has been tied down a small bit to ease in the LST and spread the light across all the bud sites more evenly.
Another big defoliation towards end of week. Should be just the occasional leaf from now until harvest. These plants are very robust and holding up well to the stress. Glad I upped the watering schedule.
Starting off strong this week after recovering from 24-48 hours where the space heater wasn't actually working. They definitely slowed down in growth and stopped drinking as much during that time. After the heater was corrected and a day to dry up and all is good.
The largest keeps needing LST adjustments and wants to take up the whole tent. The smallest one has some fascinating colors. A true beauty 😍
Very subtle and delicious fragrance.
Just let them dry out a bit so here they are looking parched at the beginning of the week. Not going to bother with the rapid start with their water anymore and will hit them with nutrients between waterings this week to get that last bulk up before flushing.
I am probably missing gains by letting the humidity get so low sometimes. With colder weather setting in it seems like they lost some momentum also. Feel good about starting their week flush at end of this week. The smallest one still looks very healthy with only small signs of fade. Great spread of phenotypes here and I look forward to trying them all lol 😉. I have the trichomes camera and will do a few before the chop.
At first glance the word that came to mind this week was "fade". They look like they have hit their peak and only water for the ladies from here on to chop day. A certain smell reminds me of gelato. The least purple pheno seems like it might be a big producer and has the vibrant orange hairs coming in.
Not disappointed - bigger harvest than expected. Smoke is smooth even before curing. Grow bags are really really clean. Too clean even. Not sure the DynoMyco pairs with my line of nutrients as well as their myco+ product. Going to go back to using that to see if I can get that white fuzz to climb the side of the grow bags. That seems to enhance root ball size and plant size. I've also seen previous roots do like a muscle bound look where it meets the soil and haven't seen that these past grows without the myco+. Going to calibrate my ph pens for the next go also. Seems like there was a really fast decline in the plants health towards week 10. Leaves were turning weird shades the whole grow as well and I was always clipping a leaf that didn't look right.
Dried buds have excellent bag appeal. Sticky, purple and covered in trichomes.
Wow buddy!! super nice buds
What an amazing grow so far - good job and well done 🤝
Happy Growing & cant wait for your upcoming weeks 🌱
Cheers, Bud Boutique 👩🌾
@BudBoutique,
For sure. I was worried about potency but that doesn't seem to be an issue. Interesting almost psychedelic effects. I'll be happy 😊 for a while.
