Hey what's up growmies?
Now that the summer holidays are over, we're back with pretty special one.
We all now that Royal Queen Seeds never disappoints...it could be their slogan really.
Since it's my first time growing an RQS Auto Flower we went with one I want to try for a long time, that is Fat Banana...no homo...
I know for a fact that the Feminized version is really really good. It produces more fatties than America and smeels better than yo grandma sunday roast. So, lets see how her Auto sister performs.
I dont ever ever lie in my grows so I kinda feel obligated to tell you that, unlike any other seed package i got previously from RQS, this one only germinated 3rd try (3rd seed). The other 2 seemed to pop up a litle white tail but no more development. With the risk of sounding like a quick nuter, i swear it was that fist time that happened to me 😅
Here we are with a week old future highness!
We alredy have hint of strong indica traits. Her baby leafs almost resemble a royal gorilla full indica short pheno.. i guess I will really like this one.
I'm a little confused on hoe much training, if any, im going to give this plant. My lack of experience with autos is making me over think too much. Any of you guys that want to contribute with your knowledge and experience, please do, I'm happy to share some insight and possible learn something new.
Keep up and give a follow and like to watch this litle plant turn into a frosty ❄️🍌. 😅
Here we go now. I am very excited for this one gorw in particular and expecte nothing but greatness with this strain. The roots are touching the water and started to absorb the nutes and loose a litle bit of yellowing leafs 🍃 from a late first feed.
You can see the acceleration in growth already. Temperatures are still hot for September and that can lead to problems as we all know so I reinforced the root zone with great white.
Keep up with this Fat Banana Auto by Royal Queen Seeds.
Good smokes
I'm not very experienced in Auto flowers, but what i can observe is how fast they are developing. The root zone i think is the slower part growing.
I've started LST training a couple of days ago and they bent great, almost horizontal.
For some reason i just feed them once with 0.15 ec increase. Probably more than a week ago and they still don't need more so for an unexperienced grower Autos can be missleading. Don't overfeed .
The short veg cycle works best with less stress, so i dont think that will be toppings for these, just lst, a couple of defoliation and a lollipoping at the right time.
Good grows mates.
Good News, flower just began early this week.
The plant looks great, but I changed some parameters. I added my bloom mix to the veg juice in a 40/60 ratio for the beginning of the 2nd week of flowering starting today.
Took the Ec to 0.30 /0.35, wich is nothing for photoperiods at least but its working great with Autos. PH is between 5.8 and 6.0 for 95% of the time, except some sporadic drop.
Light is about 35 cm for the canopy at roughly 60% to 65% power. Emitting around 600 to 650 ppfd. But what's helping a lot right now with the general health and root health os the fact that temperatures where I'm based recently droped to normal 20 /25 °C almost eliminating with white shark any traces of root damage in place before.
We hope greatness for these ones.
See you guys next week ❄️🌲
Good grows
Hey guys. Here we are for another week of flowering.
Plants look great, absorbing every ms/cm of food I provide in a couple of days.
With the water level at proper height, like 2 cm below the net pot, ph don't tend to change much (5.8/6.0).
They had a biiig stretch in these last 2 weeks but are still at a manageable height.
Smells are starting to show. Very fruity but also very pungent.
Follow me for more grows .
Hey growmies, another week and here we are.
The flower structure as you can see in the pictures is crazy in this strain. Long colas l, filles with flowers. If this led fixture I'm using for the first time performs, im about to have baseball bats of weed. I'm hopping it knows there name is not only banana, but FAT too.
The smells are sweet and fruity.
The ec are at 0.95. 0.25 of the water plus 0.7.
See you guys next week
It's called Fat Banana for some reason...Huge fat alongated colas, white and yellow point at the light. Royal Queen Seeds exceeded themselves with this one. And I don't even used to like autos. Its eating like crazumy and The smells are an amazing variety of sweets and frutal tones. I'm expecting amazing smoke and a huge production. Thank you @James🔥🍌🙌
What's up growmies,
We reached the final stages...almost ready to cut. Its probably going to take an extra week compared to the Strawberry Cola. But the productions is maybe 30% more on this one. Veery long staked colas. Starting at the bottom of the plant all the way to the top. Sweet and fruity smells and drinking almost double the 💧 water compared to her neighbour.
One more week of nutes and then another week with plain water is what she'll have probably.
The root is a giant, white ball filling half the bucket space. I've used great white which from my experience is very very good. Doesn't perform miracles like Jesus though. The water temps in the reservoir needs to be in the correct range or else it almost always will develop phytium.
If you can't keep the water cool ( 17/21ºC) you're better off with a steril system using H2O2.
See you guys next week.
Good grows
It's done...another one chopped. What a challenge this one. If you follow my grows, you know I love Royal Queen Seeds. I consistently have the best result with RQS strains, plus their services are always great.
That being said I had much expectation for this Strain.
What can I say... for the good point, it smells very sweet, fruity and yields giant long cola, fuuuulll of flower, very sticky and faty faty. . So densily packed that comes with some issues.
First its always demanding for more K, a lot of top leaves yellowing that was hard to control. A long flower period for an auto and it suffered a lot with bud rot ( white mold, not the black one)
It was a first to me. Tried everything from cutting parts to h202 direct on top of the damaged areas but with no success.
That being said I've lost a lot of flower because of it and had to cut at least a week sooner than I wanted..
I will face this challenge again in a near future.
The plant without the root ball weighed 1.2kg.
It's drying know, so let's wait to see what we got...
Overall one of the most productive plants I've tried, as one of the biggest buds I've seen in these colas.
Thank you James and RQS for all the support. You guys are great and a major contribution for the cannabis world.
