m0use's Strawberry Tent GrowOFF

Good first week, plants have been growing well. When mixing up the ingredients and pouring them into the sprayer, I noticed they made a stream or vapour, wondered if that will cause any issues with the plants or what it was. All the seeds have sprouted as well so happy about that. This is a combo of week 1 and 2

So missed a lot of weeks in between here and now as life got busy, its ok, shit happens. Gotta focus on the real world and no so much diaries on a site for free... Plants are doing well. had a bit of a issue with some PH in the medium, it got out of wack, or something in the fertilizer reacting with something in the sprayer chamber, noticed before when adding the nutrient solution into the sprayer there was some steam/mist/vapour coming off of it. During this I accidentally over used PH down and then used some PH up to fix it, but I think it did not like this. The result was some leaf burning on all the plants, it did not like that. So now I know to toss it out and start again if I can. I also bleached out the sprayer at beginning but thought I rinsed out all the remaining bleach, even ran a Vit C through it as it will neutralize bleach but I might have missed the lip of the sprayer or part of its manual air pump handle mechanism. Also noticed I was underfeeding them a fair bit in veg weeks, was so scared of stressing them out into early flower it happened anyway. I increase feeding to aorund 700ppm on my pen or aorund 1.4EC, ideally I'll stay at 1.2-1.4 EC for the rest of the grow unless they showing they really want more. The runoff has been stable on PH and about 200PPM different from whats going in, meaning they are eating when I am giving them and they may want more. at least some of them. I have a feeling a small amount of burn will happen on the smaller ones at 1.4EC. Well see how it goes.

So the increase in feed is going well and the plants are drinking more and more. I measured the heights of them and adjusted the lights as one of them was not level. might have been that way since last adjustment, I kept hearing some poping noises coming from the tent so could have been that as well. #1 33cm #2 28cm #3 27cm #4 18cm #5 38cm #6 43cm #4 is much shorter then the rest of its peers, but we will see how it goes long term. As I though some slight yellowing on leaf tips but nothing crazy, PH going in at 6.2 coming out at 6.49 not bad, matching the trend in EC difference. EC going in at 1.4 coming out aorund 1.0 So might want more food but more frequently vs more at one time. I could try and get into a new watering routine but I really don't want to. Something easy maybe to mix up a jug that I just give them between normal watering that has light feed in it and will not get runoff with it. The runoff to prevent salt buildup can come from the main watering. Also found a weird looking something growing on plant #3 medium. Took some photos of it. Looks alien. going to let it grow, that plant is doing fine.

Good little week I had, plants have grown a bit since I last updated. #1 - 43cm #2 - 36cm #3 - 37cm #4 - 22cm #5 - 46cm #6 - 49cm The Liverworts have also grown a bit as well, happy with that little update. Some of the plants have been beginning to get fragrant. One of them smells exactly like the seeds branded label "Cake or Pie or Cola" but I won't tell you what one just yet, I was shocked and amazed, another is very gassy/fuley/diesely, no note of fruits whatsoever. The rest are al fruity but nothing screaming strawberry. I'm expecting them to mature much more as time goes on and when they enter the curing stage. Still looking like they want more nutrients, was in the upper limit of what I thought they would tolerate well. 1.4EC maybe I push for 1.6EC - 1.8EC Till next week

Plants are looking good. One is clearly dwarf like, another is starting to smell more like strawberries so that's also a bonus. and one of them is already making rock hard nugs its intresting the diffrent growth patterns on them all, I have a feeling its not like this for everyone and has something to do with my tent setup. Other then that nothing much to report on. waiting for it to bulk up and go from there. Lowered PH by 0.2 just for this fertigation as runoff was getting a bit high last feed "6.7" not in lockout range just not what I'd like to see though. got it back down to 6.4 :D Runoff EC was also more stable only about 100ppm difference or 0.2EC, other weeks it was registering as 300-400ppm or 0.6-0.8EC Meaning they where underfed.

Plants are doing good this week, I started to lower the feed a bit from 1.6 down to 1.2 as some of them are finishing off and the rest are not to far behind noticed a bit of burn on upper leaves suggesting to heavy of a feed as well. Updated the heights on them as well as they grew a tiny bit. Should be the last height update, this is their final form :D #1 - 45cm +2cm #2 - 39cm +3cm #3 - 39cm +2cm #4 - 24cm +2cm #5 - 48cm +2cm #6 - 51cm +2cm Two of the plants have started to show signs they are entering their end stages of life. Hopefully everything else will be ready soon as I do not want to do a staggered harvest. Been noticing its hard to capture the frost on them with my camera as the overhead lights mess up the photo somehow. notice when they are beside the tent with reflected light on them it shows up a bit better so took some individual selfies of them on a back background. Liverwort is also doing well, once this plant is all done I have a feeling its going to like its new home. I want to see how big I can get it, it also have a bunch of smaller off shoots starting now as well beside the main plant, in some of the other pots I also have mosses :D Also PSA: remember to clean your intake filters if you have any, they get dusty and lower your CFM rating of the extractor fans in the tent. and if you use a carbon filter its already getting lowered a lot.

This is it, the time is here to chop the plants. It looks like two of them could go a bit more, like a week or two, but if I do that then the other ones that are complete around 3-4 of them will be over ripe and they are already fox tailing a bit and not a huge fan of that. I have seen some clear winners in the tent for the self judged mini contest I have going on. Its going to take some time to judge them fully as I'll want a min 1month cure on some of thees strains. Found some weird growth inside the boom+ product on the last feed, dumped it out and then when removing the label for recycling it noticed there was a weird [A] under the label, I don't know what this means, the product was fine when I opened it so this was a my problem but the [A] is a mystery. Had a good time growing this one, Can not say much about it other then I liked it a lot and it won the BEST IN TENT award for the Strawberry Grow Off I hosted. I would love to this this plant as a photoperiod or for me to grow monster autos instead of baby ones but still have a good time with this one. This plant was a nice treat to grow, in fact it was the reason I decided to do a strawberry tent grow off. I won it in a contest and I thought hey why don't I try a bunch of other strawberry strains. I have kept getting told how tasty they where and my one buddy on here said this was his favourite strain till fast buds made a strawberries gorilla strain. Plant was a bit compact and grew well. did not have to do much with it but it should have had a bit of LST I feel. Some notes from my friends who reviewed this buds said its smells strong with eucalyptus and mint with hints of clove and this transitioned into its taste as well. This was a gift seed from a buddy in the UK, they sent it to me long before I thought of doing this grow off and I was happy it sprouted, The plant grew well and had a nice shape to it. good smells and did well. I want to grow more of Barney's Farms genetics as I've always like their brand but they are hard to get in Canada. Some notes from my testers on this one, Its taste was that of pure strawberry jam and its taste followed it. When I heard Exotic Seeds was going to send me this strain I was impressed and supper happy as I love cola and the mix of it with strawberries seemed divine. The plant unfortunately was dwarfed and did not perform to its full potential however it did make some very tasty buds. My friends have said that it smelled like citrus, tropical fruits and cola with some pine/fuel hints. its taste was creamy and fruity like a milkshake. sticky buds with good density and had a mostly heady high, could feel it behind the eyes and got the munchies with with one more then the others, they felt it was sativa leaning. Was expecting more from this stain, it did not have any of the scents or flavour profiles I was expecting. The notes I have on this one was it gave off strong smell of diesel/fuel with hints of herbs and eucalyptus, its taste was all gas and its buds where airy but sticky. it gave a body high with little to no cerebral effects. This stain has the best yield over all the others and one of the best daytime high effects I feel based off of my collected results however I found the plants structure needing improvement and the buds themselves were to airy. The testes noted they smelled fuel, earthy/musty with hints of pine and something sweet. The taste was on point and had a nice berry forward pallet. its buds were sticky but loose and airy its high was a good point, happy and cozy talkative and uplifting. This is something I like in weed and this would have been my own personal pick for best high but I did not feel this myself as I have not smoked any of the weed and reply on my panel of testers for that.
