This lady is still packing on bud and overall doing very good.l, she's starting to smell good too.
On the pics she might seem a lil droopy, I had to let her soil dry out a bit because of a little black fly plague, but I think we're passed the worst. They didn't seem to effect her too much either tbf.
How long did they flower for? Days,? your diary shows 5 weeks! Wow certainly are fast! I Harvested my FF plants at beginning of week 8, 7 full
weeks. 52 Days
@BudBrewerz, Yeah they are fast, recently took monster cropped cuttings of the Tropicana & the Orange sherbet to clone in my Seahawk Cloner & they produced roots in just 10 days. Had little nubs ( start of roots ) in 5 days. Usually my Clones take around 14+ days to root. I'm doing 2 of each strain, which were taken from plants 3 to 4 weeks into flower 🌹 top feed recirculating hydro/ hydroten expanded clay medium. Training will be a bit of lst & hst & Scroged. There's 2 reason's why I take my cuttings from flowering plants, 1 is it eliminates the need to keep mothers for clones to a certain extent, unless you want to grow different strains for a few runs & then come back & regrow the original strain , then i would keep a mother.
The 2nd & best reason is they just go crazy & grow branches every where 2 to 3 times more than normal clones 😍🤩😍
@HIAZ_urbanbudfarmer, most of the time I flip the switch to 12/12 right after I made my weekly update , so u could say that you have to count that as a week extra , but imo she is not in flower mode yet in those first day after the lights changed.
But they sure were fast, that's a sure thing 😁
Looking very nice 👍 can't wait to find out about how she turned out! Terpense wise, smoke report & yield. As I'm waiting delivery on this strain. I was 1 of 10 winners for November diary of the month. The prize being 6 STRAINS of
3 pack seeds of my choice from any of the fast buds strains , 18 seeds As well as merchandise, 420 hat, socks, gloves, papers. I chose the entire 6 fast flowering strains as I prefer growing photoperiods & recently harvested both Tropicana cookies FF & Orange sherbet FF of which both were some of the best & most potent strains I've grown. Also the most potent weed I've smoked in around 2 years! Tropicana cookies was absolute🔥💥 very dank sticky weed . & the orange sherbet some seriously tasty & strong
I've no doubt the GG4 sherbet will be any different when it comes to quality. Great genetics from fast buds! My 2nd time growing fast buds, the first being strawberry Banana auto , got BIG YIELD but overall quality & potency was poor. Maybe a lot to do with the grower, they reckon auto's are easier to grow! Not in my opinion, although I should have read up on best way to grow them. Wasn't until I started having issues that I read you should feed them 1/2 the amount of nutrients you would give photo periods & because I grow in hydro ( grown in DWC) they don't finish much quicker instead of starting to flower at 3 or 4 weeks it's about 5 to 6 weeks before they start flowering because there's not really any root resistance or stress for the roots. They get huge roots in hydro & don't get root bound , for example if you grow an auto in a 9 to 11 litre pot it will flower much sooner than if you used say a 20 littre or bigger pot as the roots hit the sides quicker it stresses the roots & that's partly why they will flower earlier . Not to mention a built in clock/ timer so to speak (age/maturity. You constantly read that new growers should grow auto's because it's easier. You always read new growers should stay away from hydro & grow in dirt because it's easier. I disagree on both counts, I think auto's are more fidly. Easy to over feed . Less training options & very easy to stunt their growth which they don't come back from
Unlike photos. Genetics have come along way in terms of better yields these days but have a problem & they won't yield much who wants to spend around 3 month growing only to harvested 1 to 2 OZ. In my opinion Hydro is much easier than growing in dirt. I've always grown in hydro both DWC & top feed recirculating hydro which is probably the easiest. Connect up the system fill pots with hydrogen clay rock set up a timer for the feed pump however many times you want to feed them ( I feed mine every 2 hours, the pump runs on for 15 minutes every 2 hours ) it's called high fertigation. U CANT OVER WATER A Plant in HYDRO you can even water them
On constantly 24/7. Fill resoivoir pH/Ec it check it daily or every 2nd day for pH/Ec & chang res every week or when it's low sometimes 2 weeks that's it Easy, you don't even have to water it it's automated . Dirt you have to pH/Ec the run off water ! Easy to Overwater & over feed as it already has nutrition in the soil. Hydro isn't hard at all just looks more complex but once it set up & you can build your own system a lot cheaper than buying it . It set & forget mostly automated .only pH/Ec it & res change weekly.
