Germination
Started germinating with paper towel/plastic bag method inbetween paper plates. Set ontop of 20% dimness grow light for warmth at 6am 8/23 on wednesday. All sprouted with half inch taproot by 8/25 1PM friday so I planted in final pots, 3 gallon vivosun fabric pots. As these seeds were germinating on 8/23, I filled every 3 gallon pot with 100% Fox Farms Ocean Forest and saturated them with water. The soil seemed hydrophobic, it took close to a gallon of water per pot. I set the pots under the light to get the microbes going. I regret not slurry testing the soil before planting.

I was using the 240w Phlizon pro 2000 light this week, works great for seedling and veg. Dropped my jeweler's loupe on front left plant on day 7, folded it in half. A little bit of accidental HST on a seedling. Realized on day 7 that my back left plant has the Tri-Leaf mutation, bonus. Bottom watered alot on day 7 to prevent rootbound issues.

I was still using the 240w Phlizon pro 2000 light this week. Topped back right plant on day 13 above the 2nd node. Still didn't realize ph was off even though front right was showing real heavy signs since day 5. Started a little bit of LST this week but didn't really have a clue what I was doing, all my plants have the side lean going on into next week lol.

I continued with the side lean LST until about day 20 when I finally realized what I was doing rofl. Had ph issues on day 5 but its my first indoor grow so I didn't notice until day 14-15. Runoff tested 5.2 front right, front left 5.5, back right 5.6, back left 5.2. Flushed every plant(4-5 gallons) from 1450ppm to 750ppm and 6.0ph. Topped front left and back left day 16 above 4th node and topped front right on day 17 above 4th node. I should have waited for front right to recover a few more days from the lockout, topping and ph lockout set it back pretty bad. 9/10 sunday day 15, switched to 500w AC Infinity Ionframe EVO6 and hung it 40" at 60%. 9/12 tuesday day 17, 8PM all plants - top dressed gaia green 444 all purpose 2tbsp, 284 bloom 1tbsp, insect frass 311 1tbsp, 24oz distilled water after with 6.5ph 9/15 friday day 20, used 5ml cal-mag+ on 1gal distilled for watering, PHed to 6.5, 168ppm. My light is set to simulate sunrise/sunset for 1 hour each. 1 hour It ramps up and 1 hour it lowers. The light schedule is more like 20.5/3.5 to factor in the 2hours. I also set my light to shut off during the hottest part of the day to avoid heat stressing the plants.

Did quite a bit of LST to spread out the plants daily, rolling stems to make them easier to bend. Some defoliation slowly taking off the lowest leaves on every plant.

Doing a mixture of Sog and Scrog with LST this week. Going to keep tucking tops/rolling stems and spreading them out daily. Going to continue taking off the lowest leaf to add more airflow. Will be watering with molasses every time now that flowering has started. 1tbsp/gal is only 68ppm in distilled, PHed up to 6.5(1tbsp lowers ph to 5.9ish in 1gallon). I use a 5x30 trellis net with 3.5inch spacing(vivosun 2 pack). Set it up and just cut off the excess. Day 26 after picture was taken, back left Tri-Leaf has 1 super thick main top, HST rolled stem over 90 degrees to let the others catch up(it split but i'm sure its fine). Keep on tuckin. Day 29, lowered light to 35", 450-500ppfd. tucked some more tops. Day 30, topped dressed 284 bloom 2.5 tbsp, insect frass 311 1.5 tbsp. Day 31, defoliated a bunch taking off leaves blocking bud sites. Kept tucking tops, switched light back to 24/0 since its hard regulating humidity with light off.

9/27 day 32, switched light back to 24/0 still 60%. Tucked some more tops after the pic. Watering twice a day still with 1tbsp molasses/gal. 1/4 gallon per plant every 12 hours. 9/28 day 33, lowered light height to 30", still 60%, 580-610 ppfd. 24/0. Had a defoliation helper. 9/29 day 34, tucked tops and leaves blocking bud sites. Fed calmag+ 5ml/gal with the molasses water. 9/30 day 35, didn't do much today, just water with molasses. 10/1 day 36, watered way more than usual just to empty the sprayer so I could mix a new batch. 10/2 day 37, tucked tops, back left and back right plant looking lighter green, top dressed gaia green 444 all purpose 1tbsp each. Upped water ph to 7.0. 10/3 day 38, top dressed 1 tbsp dolomite lime to both front plants, 1/2 tbsp to back plants. Tops are getting hard to tuck because stems are solid now. Lowered light to 25", still 24/0 60%.

10/4 day 39, just watered with molasses. Noticed front right has had some burn for awhile, hopefully the dolomite lime and upped ph water let's them coast through. 10/5 day 40, Top dressed 2tbsp 284 and 1 tbsp 444. Found my 2 gallon sprayer water was gradually lowering ph the longer it sat, checked it at 4.5. Flooded pots with distilled 7.0 ph, nothing added. May have just burned the plants by top dressing, we will see. 10/6 day 41, They're still looking ok. Only watered with distilled 7.0ph today too. Light still at 60% 25" 680-720 ppfd on all tops. 10/7 day 42, trimmed burnt tips off front right, watered with 6.8ph distilled. Cut off a couple smaller bud sites so the plants can focus on the main tops. 10/8 day 43, watered 50/50 tap and distilled with 5ml calmag+ phed to 6.5. After the picture I trimmed alot of leaves and small bud sites off of the back left tri-leaf mutant that I should have done a long time ago. 10/9 day 44, watered 50/50 with .5 ml calmag phed to 6.7. They aren't taking as much water as during veg, only like 10-12oz a day now for the past 3 days. 10/10 day 45, watered with .5ml calmag phed to 6.8.

Grow Questions

Xistencestarted grow question a year ago
Should I be adding calmag+ to every watering? I've been using 50/50 pur+ tap water and distilled water. Ppm is 245 at 50/50 and pur+ filters chlorine. I've also added 1tbsp per gallon of unsulphured molasses and that adds 68ppm. Day 40 right now.

No I wouldn't add it every watering but increase it if you're dealing with a deficiency. You can also give them Epsom salt foliar sprays once a week for added magnesium 😉. Looking at your diary though I think your plants need a bit more than just calcium and magnesium my friend. They want NPK. They look under fed. Hope this helps.

10/11 day 46, watered 50/50 tap/distilled w/ calmag+ 2ml/gal phed to 6.5. Front right is barely hanging on. I don't wanna take the net down to flush though. Just trying to coast to the finish line. Lights still 24/0 25" 60% 680-720 ppfd, dli is a little high at 45-51 on all tops. 10/12 day 47, watered 50/50 w/ calmag+ 1ml/gal. Plants still only taking about 11oz of water a day each. Maybe too many nutrients in the soil? 10/13 day 48, watered 50/50, no calmag. Set light to 70%, same height. Hopefully the leaves don't taco(They faded more yellow). Changed light back to 60% after 12hrs noticed some burn. 7pm, Flushed all plants with 5 gallons tap water each 577ppm 7ph water. Ppm on runoff of all plants was around 2300-2400. Ph was 5.2 to 5.4. Ended on front right 805ppm/6.5ph, back right 852/6.3, front left 852/6.5, back left 765/6.2. Didn't have to cut the net down since it's ziptied, I just raised it up. Blended a little power bloom into water and phed to 6.5, watered it in. 10/14 day 49, didn't water since I just flushed last night. Looked at plants for like 10 mins and called it a day. 10/15 day 50, Pots still heavy. I'll probably wait another day or 2 to water. 10/16 day 51, Watered 19.2oz per plant 100% dechlorinated tap phed to 6.3. 10/17 day 52, waiting another day to water.

10/18 day 53, watered 100% tap with 2 tbsp unsulphured molasses per gallon phed to 6.3. Around 20oz per plant. 10/19 day 54, watered tap 6.3ph, might feed bloom one last time tomorrow and ride it out till the end with molasses every other watering. Took down the net to take better trichome pics. 10/20 day 55, watered 6.3, 2 tbsp molasses, top dressed 1 tbsp power bloom. 10/21 day 56, watered 6.3. Setup ac infinity self watering bases, filled with 6.3. Testing them out for my next run. 10/22 day 57, added 164oz 6.3 water to bases. Might have been underwatering the plants. Top watered a little molasses to keep topsoil from drying. 10/23 day 58, added 175oz 6.3 ph tap to bases. 10/24 day 59, raised light up quite a bit, dli was high because the bases sit higher than the old plant stands. Added 6.3 ph water to bases, 100oz? Pots feeling super heavy but leaves not showing signs of overwatering. So far so good. All of these are the same strain but they all smell different. The front left smells the best to me, like a pine and citrus. Front right smells exactly like opening a jar of peanut butter. Back right smells like gasoline. Back left smells like a skunk and pine.

10/25 day 60, added 6.3 ph water to bases. Back left is ready to harvest, gonna let it ride until the others are ready. Going to keep checking trichomes daily now. Trying for 5-10% amber on the others. 10/26 day 61, both on the left side are ready now. The right side needs a few more days. It's looking like day 65 or 67 harvest. Going to do them all at the same time so I can use the same tent to dry. 10/27 day 62, looking 60% milky on front and back right. Still a few days left. 10/28 day 63, 85% milky now on both front and back right. My back left is around 20-25% amber now so I'll go a little earlier on the others. It's looking like harvest day is tomorrow.

Pretty easy to grow. It didn't stunt at all when I topped super early at day 13. High stress training didn't slow it down at all either. I haven't smoked in around 5 years so I will be letting a few other people test it. I suspect this strain will 100% melt my face. (It did)

10/29 day 64 harvest, Currently trimming off big fan leaves, will update as I go. Everything is hanging low from the light, 60F 60% RH. So far so good. 10/31 54 hours into drying and the leaves are just starting to curl down. The temp is around 56-57F and solid 60% humidity. It's looking real good. 11/6 Jarred everything up, humidity sitting at 58-65% per jar. Front right = 24.16G, Back right = 15.38G, Front left = 37.20G, Back left = 40.62G. 117.36G total dry - 4.139oz dry. Now for the cure. 11/17 12 days into cure. Everything is staying 62% without burping. All of these are the same strain but they all smell different. The front left smells the best to me, like a pine and citrus. Front right smells exactly like opening a jar of peanut butter. Back right smells like gasoline. Back left smells like a skunk and pine.
