This is both week 1 and 2. Yes I know I over watered a bit but I kept these cups in a clone dome for about a week. In the interest of transparency my germination rate was not 100%. All of the ethos and Atlas seed germinated and propagated nicely. The OG Kush was a different story. There regular seeds that were gifted to me by a private breeder. I have had experience with this OGK with the same breeder previously but this was a new batch of seed. Had to toss 5 seeds into a cup of distilled water since my original 3 only 1 made it. But I didn't pay for said seed so it's all good. You may have previously seen that I have grown Mandarin Cookies and even cloned it. Well due to a family emergency I didn't bother with the clone diary. It turned out well with almost the exact same amount of harvest. So this will be my 3rd run with this strain. It's almost a year later and I still have some left from the last harvest and it stills smells like orange. Anyway enough with tooting my own horn. The main reason I'm posting this, is that this will be my first run using Atlas Seed. I have heard good things about Gelato. For whatever reason there was no number assigned to the packaging. I scored these seeds at the lift expo in Toronto in 21. Hoping they turn out well.

The seedlings have grown out well. I'm probably going to transplant about 4 of them in a few days to 3 gal pots. The rest I'll just have to wait till they catch up. Especially the 3rd ogk. That seed is a week and a half behind. Atlas Gelato seems to be out performing the Ethos Mandarin Cookies. A very pleasant surprise.

So over the last week or so I have been transplanting. Most of them seemed to be transitioning well. However with one MC I tried bending the top not even too hard and the dam thing still snapped. So I decided to make a move. Since it was almost fully snapped off I decided to rescue the top of the plant by putting it in my clone dome. The I pray that what was left of the original plant is enough to keep it going with a early top. The two nodes seem to be growing a bit more so fingers crossed the worst that will happen is an early top. Today I transplanted the last OGK. Used Great White MIcro. Not sure the rate as I just sprinkle it on the roots and the hole that I make in the 3 Gal So worst case scenario I take out two OGK since there are tree of them. I'm going to keep an eye on the make shift clone I made. The MC rooted very quickly last time I cloned it. If it survives I will give it a shot with a 1 Gal. If it makes it to flower I might just have the benefit of a female back up plant to cover the cost of tossing 2 of the reg OGK seed. Happy accidents I suppose.

This week was a success despite there being no feeding. I just watered this week so next week we will be increasing the veg base to full strength. The MC1 that was inadvertently topped has seemed to recovered and the two nodes are growing out well since last week. My only concert is the main stem still has a hole in it from when I snapped it off accidentally. Any suggestions on what to do would be nice. As for the top itself, it is still surviving and a root has gone out of the top. Not sure if I will put it into a 1 gal. But all in all it seems to be going pretty well in the garden. A few more weeks of veg with LST and we should be ready to flip these ladies. I also increased my light output to 40%

This week went great! I increased the amount of base A and B. Some plants as you can see are larger than others. My acccidental clone seems to be settling in its new home. Considering all the micro I sprinkled on hopefully it will root quick. Which I hope happens soon as I am nearing my height limit for veg. Continuing LST and defoliating so that nodes have a chance to catch up with the main cola. Some plants are taking better to it than others. My topped plant is coming out nicely with 4 main nodes now present.

OK so it's been a little over a week since my last update. Since then one of my plants has reached 2 feet. Now ordinarily I would be happy to flip to flower. But I've found small signs of a thrip infestation. Not to worry I have Two treatments one the go. First is a need oil spray with 1 Liter of water 2ml of dish soap and 5ml of Neem. Shake it up and spray on top and under neath your. I've had thrips before and usually 1 treatment will do. I am also using diatamscus earth on my base stem in the soil. I will be applying this regularly throughout the week since when it gets wet it is useless. Thankfully the tub of it I bought was really cheap. I really don't want to over veg but it looks like 1 more Neem treatment and the flip happens which should be a week. Along with defoliation of infected leaves I should pull through. Other than said bugs the grow has gone fairly smoothly.

Sorry but this update won't have any pics. Plants are a bit taller and now thinner due to defoliation. I'm confident any pest problems have been mitigated now that I did a second treatment. I also have been applying Diatomaceous Earth to my base stalk's for 2 weeks. Plants also seem healthy so I flipped my plants. As of this post I'm a few days into flower but I suspect 2 out of 3 OGK are fem. Who knows sometimes you have to wait a few days to be sure. I have a gelato with tip burn. I'm kinda baffled by it considering the other 2 are on the same water feed water feed schedule. It might be light burn too so I put it to the side a bit. OK next post will have pics and they'll be hairy ones 😁😁😁

So It has been a full week since I have changed the light cycle to flower and we have completed our first full week of flower. My plant count has been reduced to 9 now as I did spot 1 male OGK. I'm certain that my large OGK is female and I'm pretty sure my second is as well. It's always good to check nodes when transitioning. As a rule of thumb I keep my base to grow for the first week but I will switch to bloom tomorrow as a week has past and the plants are plenty into the change now. More defoliation to increase air flow and light penetrations'. Canopy seems to be healthy and I believe if there was any bug problem it's gone now. So the Diatomaceous Earth treatments have stopped. All in all this crop seems to be shaping up well..

This week has been fairly standard. I say fairly standard because I had to chop one more OGK. Unfortunately for whatever reason after almost 2 weeks of flower the hairs were not coming out. I also seemed to have spotted a sack or two. But I also spotted maybe two hairs at the top. But when comparing it to it's much larger sister I felt that this may turn into a hermie situation so I chopped it before it could spread any pollen. Which is a shame but I wanted to err on the side of caution. I grow for quality not quantity. Besides I already got enough weed in my vault as is that's over a year old so I'll survive. All the other plants are well into showing their flowers. I will be adding more pictures to this week soon. I'm down to 8 plants but I'm super excited to see how the Gelato will turn out. So far it's been pretty good growth. I'm going to add in Honey Chome next week and that will be the full nutrient system for the rest of the grow.

This week has been pretty standard. I made one slight error and forgetting to add the Honey Chome when I fed my last OGK. Speaking of which the biggest plant in the left corner next to the clip on fan. Thing really stretched but at least I will get a decent amount off that one plant. Since I grow from seed it's not so simple keeping an even canopy especially if you don't use scrog netting. Aside from a little tip burn on one plant my canopy looks healthy. The three plants in the middle are all Mandarin cookies. The two headed one is actually a funny story. Way back in Veg I was doing LST on MC1 and I accidentally partially snapped off the main stem. Now thinking fast there was no way to repair the damage. So I decided to fully cut off what I had snapped off and place it into rockwool. I was 50/50 on whether it would root and turns out it did. So that small plant in the back right next to the OGK that is the "clone" of MC1. It's a decent size but I'm not expecting much in terms of weight off that plant. No training was done on it. But I'm just glad I have the where with all to pull that off. It would have been a shame to throw it out. As for the gelato it is doing very well. There in similar size to the OGK but more tighter node spacing. Never really smoked or grown Gelato. But I've heard good things. Next week the base will be upped and so is the trace nutrients.

Wow these plants are really chugging along. The only OGK plant I have blew the fuck up and is pretty much at the same height as the light. Which Is why it's in the corner. For the rest of the plants the stretch has stopped and the pants are starting to throw on some frost. Were just about at the half way point of a 9 week flower. I can already tell that this crop will be nice. Gelato has a very nice fragrance to it. Same as usual with the Mandarin Cookies the smell of orange is starting to come through. Oddly enough I didn't really notice this my last two runs of it. I guess either I got a really good pheno or my feeding schedule has been on point since I really didn't see much of any nutrient deficiencies. Enjoy the pics.

This week was very standard. I had 1 plant that had bad tip burn so I decided to water it twice. So far this has been my best run of Mandarin Cookies. The cola's are turning out purple and putting out a tremendous smell. My OG Kush big plant is finally leveled off since I cut off like half an inch that rose above the light. Bud sites are multiple but small which is what I suspected would happen since my last run with this ogk. Hopefully they will throw on some weight this week. As for the Gelato it's coming in nice as well. Only 2 more weeks until I start to flush. Lower leaves are starting to yellow and fall off which you know what that means. Looking forward to the flush as I'm almost out of EH's Cal-Mag. Sure I have a bit of botanicare cal mag to spare but I like to keep with the nutrient line.

This week has been interesting to say the least. MC3 the 1 short squatty plant that is nowhere near the light has a bit of an issue. It doesn't have many tricomb heads on it. The ones that do are purple. It's not nearly as sticky as it's counter parts. I thoroughly checked for bugs and some bud sites for any signs of hermie but nothing. So I'll keep it and see how it goes. The og kush is a pain in the ass. Dries out very quickly and I have a long line of small buds to process. It will be an even bigger pain once I have to cut it down. Speaking of which I am in the final week of feed. The king kola has been toned down. I still have a bit left of the cal mag which should be enough to get me through the week. The tent smells amazing btw and I'll be so happy to get this harvest in the can. The gelato's seem to be coming in great I'm having a positive experience with Atlas seeds.

This was the final week to feed my plants. As I write this I am currently entering my last 2 weeks which means water only from here on out. This grow has been fairly smooth. I over vegged a bit due to a bug scare but all in all I'm very happy with where I'm headed. The yield won't be that great but at least I'll have some super quality bud.. The gelato's are looking picture esque. It's hard to believe but I had those Gelato seeds in my collection for like 2 years and never really considered popping them until recently. Hoping I can find more Atlas seed in the future. The OG Kush continues to be a pain in the ass I have never seen a plant grow so big so quickly in a 3 gal pot. I need to service this thing once every 48 hours or so. As for the Mandarin Cookies there coming in nice as well with the exception of the middle plant. I mostly think it's due to the low light it gets. Ethos has some really good genetics. Which is why I recently bought another strain of theirs that I plan on using in the near future.

This post will count as week 15-16. There really is not much change going into the flushing period. The fall colors have come in well. I normally don't water for 3-4 days before chop. It makes the drying process run smoothly and with less chance of mold being contained within the stalk system. Both almost all of the plants did very well. I say almost because MC 3 was total boof. Not really worth smoking I have yet to test it but I believe that it would be low thc.

What can I say about this strain. Very easy to grow and produced very good yields. The smell is like sweet ice cream or gelato on a summer day and it's slowly melting. Very creamy velvety taste and aroma. I prefer the sweet lighter side of the spectrum. But all in all I'm quiet happy with the outcome. I may trade my remaining beans though as this type of taste on the spectrum while very good is just not my type of flavor. But Atlas seed I am considering trying another strain. This by no means is an L for you. My beans popped at 100%. Despite the fact that I know these beans were a few years old. So props to your packaging game. Thank you very much for creating this wonderful strain. If you are a Gelato lover this is the strain to grow for you. Edit I tested this strain THC is 27%. It has a sweet creamy flavor to it. It's grown on me and I can say that it will have a place in my tent in the future.

OG Kush the go to medical strain. I got some free beans from a friend of mine who warned me this copy of OG Kush was slightly unstable.. I had 3 plants going originally. These were not feminized. 1 was a male. The other wasn't flowering the way it's sister was so I tossed it just to be safe. The 3rd was a female. Turned out great but the first bud I grounded up there was a seed. I have busted up several grams so maybe it was just a 1 off. Lemon lime taste great and is fantastic for my insomnia.

The sweet orange gassy appeal of Mandarin Cookies. Holy hell this has been my go to strain for a long time. I had a perpetual grow of it going on back in 2022 and decided to pop 3 more beans of it. I say 3 because I accidentally topped 1 plant. I wasn't sure if it was going to survive. So I took the top part put it in Rockwool and low and behold it rooted and I managed to make a small but fantastic plant out of it. Which is more than I can say for MC3 which produced boof. I have no idea why. It's smaller MC4 brough more trics better smell and size to the buds. Which is a shame it's the only Ethos plant that really disapointed me. Well not every seed can be a winner I suppose. Saving my last two beans for a special run. EDIT THC is 29%

So you've liked Atlas seeds as well! I'm running pai gow again cause it was so unique. But they seem to be a good breeder. Which cultivar are you trying next?

@PapaNugs, I'm not sure to be honest. I like sweet light fruity strains. I bought direct from them at the Lift Expo in Toronto. My usual seed banks that I deal with don't seem to carry them. I'm open to suggestions on their strains. As well as any Canadian based seed banks that carry them.
