Practicing the LITFA technique this week. These girls are doing just fine without me fussing them. Day 18 and interestingly they are growing at 3 different rates, yet all 3 are stretching out wider than other strains that I started a full week earlier. The substrates must be causing the difference, the largest and smallest seedlings are both in the same type pot but the largest is in a light substrate mix and the smallest one is 50:50 with the heavier mix. The seedling with the light mix is filling up her 1 litre pot fast. I’m wondering if it would be best to leave her in that pot to compare to the 3 gallon girls or if I should transplant to another 3 gallon pot and see what effect transplanting has on growth. Either way I’m excited to see how these girls grow. Day 20 one girl got wind burnt on 2 leaves, no big deal I fixed the wind. When the damaged leaves continued to get crispy I decided to take them off and open some nodes. Gave her a ponytail to expose the stem. Take ponytail off during lights off and repeat for a couple days. Don’t want to do much training with this grow, I want to see what the substrate/pot size difference.

Nutrient deficiency? Or Light burn? PH of solution is 6 and run off is 6.2 so almost the same. The plants in coco look like this, the plants in soil are just a bit lighter in the growing centre. I’ve been giving a 50% feed and I lowered the lights 4in about 12 hours ago.

I would say to little feed and possibly to much light. You do have tight node spacing so decreasing light will help them stretch more. Everytime mine start yellowing I increase my feed. They need plenty of Nitrogen and CalMag right now. I only start thinking of TO MUCH if the tips are burned and yours ain't. So you nailed it, I would decrease light or space it further away. Then I would increase feeding. Check runoff ec or ppms and see how much different your ppms are then what your feeding them. This is the only way to truly know how their doing. Short answer tho is yes, little to much light and to little feed. Please consider selecting me as the answer so I can be entered for a chance to win grower of the month contest I would really appreciate your support growmie 😃 🙏

Nitrogen toxicity? Day 24, heavy soil and plastic pot, thought overwatering because the soil wasn’t drying out. Put lots of extra drainage holes in it and let dry out for 6 days. Giving plain water today. Will she recover or go to flower in this stunted state?

i'd guess drainage property of soil over time. use more perlite or similar next time. I don't see glossy or overly dark leaves. Hard to believe it is Nitrogen-caused. The mottled leaves is probably from suboptimal rootzone. coco - 30% of volume shold be perlite, but with higher water capacity mediums, like tpicaly soil or sphagnum peat moss, should be 50% perlite or similar.
