Stoked to grow these dos si dos autos as my second auto run. These girls will go straight into their final pots. I went with 5 gallon saved room for top dressing. Day 0: Soaking the seeds in distilled water Saw tap roots of varied length so dropped em all in final pots Soil mix: Build-a-soil light + 3.0 and Gaia Green general + bloom and Big Foot Granules + Gold near seeds

Each seed is about 12-24 hours behind the other in terms of growth and sprouting time. Day 1: #2 sprouted first - greening out the cotyledons #1 sprouted next - one cotyledon is green #3 sprouted last - had to gently remove seed from cotyledons Day 2: possible light stress, can't do much about it tbh

Day 7 and these girls are fine except #3. She is looking like a runt. Same treat and water for all three and similar light positioning, too.

Growth is great for the two. I think it was meant to be to just have two healthy dos si dos. I gifted the third runt sister (nutrient burned possibly) to a friend and will include her in the updates when able. Day 14: Added rice hulls to the top of soil to limit fungus gnats #3 showing clear nutrient burn while #1 and #2 are starting to show signs of nutrient burn in the new growth. Very interesting learning lesson on Build-A-Soil light. It is not that light!

Decided to try out the stash blend nutrients with these autos to see what happens from an uncontrolled grow. I am also trying the stash blend out on photoperiods that have another month of veg. Day 21: the pair are doing well

Day 35: neglected to do LST on these for too long and they definitely had some inter-nodal growth. The stash blend has silica, which seems to be boosting plant stem health and promoting stretching (my guess).

Flipped the photoperiods to 12-12 and I am seriously impressed with the stretch from these autoflowers. Very hopeful for a large yield despite the flip. Increased light height to about 40 inches (for now, but these girls are gonna stretch still) and light intensity to 80% (was 70%). Day 42: Watered the girls with some "stash blend"

The bud sites are starting to bulk up. #1 is moving faster than #2 by about 2 days at least I think. Both are starting to smell dank af - super gassy, no lime yet really.

These two autoflowers are in a tent with photoperiods FYI #2 phenotype is loving the switch to 12:12 light schedule with a huge stretch during flower. #1 is also loving the 12:12 light. The colas are bulking up and swelling. Having a blast switching these autos to 12:12 - might have to make this a regular thing when flipping photos. Really like the idea of having more varieties and harvests per year.

Anyone know if there is (bro)science out there on whether an autoflower can revert to a photoperiod after switch to 12:12 light sched? My pheno #1 looks like a photo while #2 had no change with the flip.

No, it is either auto flowering or photoperiod. Light schedules can not change an autoflowers' genetics. Autos are nowhere near as stable as photoperiod plants as yet and strange plants are far more common in autos as compared to photos with their decades of selective breeding already. A reduction in light hours may cause an auto that is flowering to experience excessive stretching though, perhaps this is what is confusing you?

Day 63 and I've got two different plants essentially. #1 is bulking up like a normal auto, may be harvesting in 2 weeks. #2 stretched and looks like bud growth is stunted and pob won't harvest #2 for at least 3 more weeks.

Day 70 and growth has been slower ever since the switch to 12:12 as expected. Having fun watching these two girls differ greatly in genetic / pheno reaction to 12:12 light stress.

day 77 light defoliation on #1, which will be harvested before the new year possibly #2 has seeds. Hermie got the chop and frozen for hash production (if it produces anything at all I will be happy). Must not have thrown up much pollen as 4x4 seems fine.

She looks pollinated, maybe. Trichomes are getting milkier and milkier. 12-12 light sched forked this auto run up majorly, and may have pollinated the photos too. fuck around and found out.

Day 91 and not seeing any trichome aging, so the chop must commence this week. Sad to have these ones get so very wrecked by a flip to 12:12 light sched while they were in flower. Fuck around and find out - less learned. Harvest whole plant weight: 11.81oz

harvested well after expected timeline. not bad results, but could have been much better with correct light schedule from seed to harvest. looking forward to trying this strain again with the remaining seeds.
