This is my first outside grow. The seeds are a gift from @gottagrowsometime. After posing my first question in grow diaries on insomnia and post chemo /radiation issues, he responded and kindly shared seeds of strains he thought would help my conditions. Thank you 💚💫. 7/13 Soaked seeds in glass of water 18 hours. 7/14 Then put seeds in paper towel. 7/15 Tap roots emerged. 7/16 Placed seeds in 5 gal pots. Misted soil surface frequently. 7/17 seeds popped soil. Cap full of water appropriately 20ml water. Increasing by 10ml each day.

Girls still inside until big enough to handle the heat, humidity and outside elements. I had a seedling trampled by our squirrel posse. So now I wait a bit before I put it outside.

Last week in the tent. These young plants received 250ml with 5ml/g TPS1, 1ml canopy spray and increased to 500ml by 8/10. I wasn't sure if HighCloudz was auto or photoperiod but I topped her on 8/10. I guess it should be expected on my first attempt to lst by topping a plant, I took off too much: the top and one set of leafs. I don't know what that will cause.

8/18 High cloudz is already frosting up. See pics. So, I determined it is an auto. Started flower 8 /22. The topping created 2 crowns so the gal has a flat top and squared shape from the top view.

High cloudz was easy to grow, resistant to mold and not bothered by bugs. Harvested in 8 weeks. Buds were tight but small. One of my largest buds was 1.5 inches. Most are 3/4" or smaller. Dry bud weight 20g and 7g trim.

Week 8. The girls are doing well. Forming trichomes on the buds. Slh top bud is getting thick. We had hurricane Ophelia come thru off NC coast. We were affected by outer bands with winds and lots rain. Plants didn't get food for a few days. The temperatures have fallen to the 60s at night and mid 70s in daytime. Water with feed every other day. They are fattening up their buds. Seeing sparkles ✨️ . Have you ever found 4 leaf clover? Make a wish 🌠 10/8 brought the girls into the sunroof today. The Temps are supposed to drop into low-mid 40s tonight.

These girls are growing nicely. I did have to bring them inside for 2 nights due to temperatures below 45f. I feed them every other day provided they haven't had rain. 10ml/g TPS1& 1ml/g Signal. .5 tsp recharge. We had a visitor today red tail hawk. We named him Tony.

The weather is getting cooler with average temperatures in the upper 60fs. Looking at trichomes, I see lots of milky trichomes but not many amber. So end of the month. I did brew a "tea" using my pre brewed teas chamomile, hibiscus*, detox blend, etc and some oats. * also some new hibiscus which provides potassium and the oats add phosphorus. @yan402. This close to harvest, I hope I didn't mess up 😒the grow with this 10/15 feed. 10/16 so I decided to take off the big fan leaVes of the outside girls. I started trimming yhe leVes off with scissors but they got so sticky the blades wouldn't open so I used my fingernails to pinch them off. My fingers were stuck together by the time I was done. And the smell wow citrus an d spicy. Rambo out with me, Eating nip and scratching chin on aloe. What a life! Night temperatures have dropped onto the 40s . I've noticed Runtz is getting purple in the leaves and buds. And Frosty ✨️✨️. WOW 10/20 is 99 days from popping soil

These ladies are so close to harvest. They are wearing their sticky perfume and their Sunday best sparkling jewelry. We are in autumn now. For the last month, the temps have fallen about 20 degrees both day and night. The colors of runtz leaves are changing from green to dark purple. They have been in flower about 55 days. I was planning to harvest last week. but the color changes in runtz are holding my interest. I'm waiting at least until the end on Oct. Also I'm not seeing any amber trichomes yet. How long should photo flower plants stay in flower before harvest?

We are within weeks of harvest. Earlier I was thinking end of October for harvest but the buds aren't showing much amber, if any. These girls are sticky, and aromatic. Super lemon haze is very sweet and citrus. Her buds are thick and dense. Runtz is more pungent with a gassy undertone. Very sticky, frosty and sparkly ✨️. Buds are thick and dense but not as big as SLH. This week I will only be using Signal and recharge to begin the flush process. Wednesday the temps will drop 30 degrees in day and night. Night Temps drop to the 40s and I want to see any effects the cold snap will bring. Many Runtz leaves have already turned purple from our autumn arrival We had a cold front move in this week bringing a freeze warning. For 2 nights temps fell between 33-37f. I put the girls in the sunroom. Temps were about 10 degrees higher in there. No harm to the gals. Pics today show mostly milky and no amber. So I wait, and wait...

Big thanks to @GottaGrowSometime for the seeds for this grow. I grew Runtz by Barney's Farm outside. I started the grow in July, the middle of our hot humid summer. Runtz had a bit of bud rot which was cut out and discarded during the wet trim. I did not do any lst since outside grows don't have height limitations. This plant is resinous, sticky, and stinky. The smell is diesel with some pine or wood, not sure on that. Due to the stickiness, she was very hard to trim. Based on Barneys description, my Runtz plant looks like and grew as described on Barneys site. Anything cut off either stuck to the bud or to the scissors. These had to be wiped clean with alcohol several times during the trim process. 324g trimmed today and now hanging to dry. Runtz grew in a 5gal plastic garden pot. Using Dynamyco in the planting hole. The roots shown above were moderately thick but minimal compared to SLH roots. It could be normal for the Runtz strain or due to the standard plastic pot. The Super lemon haze grew in an air pot and there were more fine roots compared to Runtz. Thank you, friends, followers and Grow Diaries community for all the comments, likes, and follows. My ladies and I appreciate your visits and encouragements throughout my outside grow. All the positive vibes are wonderful. Big thanks to @GottaGrowSometime for the seeds for this grow. I grew Super Lemon Haze from Green House Seeds outside. I started the grow in July, the middle of our hot humid summer. SLH had a lot of bud rot which was cut out and discarded during the wet trim. The density of the buds held excess moisture in our humid environment. I did not do any lst since outside grows don't have height limitations. This plant is resinous, sticky, and stinky. The smell is lemony and citrusy with some earthy pine or wood. Due to the density of the buds and the numerous sugar leaves, she was very hard to trim. Based on GHS description, my SLH plant looks like and grew as described on the web site. Anything cut off either stuck to the bud or to the scissors. These had to be wiped clean with alcohol several times during the trim process. 362g trimmed now hanging to dry. SLH grew in a 5gal air pot. Using Dynamyco in the planting hole. The roots shown above were thinner but more numerous in quantity compared to Runtz roots. It could be normal for SLH strain or due to the air pot allowing more roots to form. Thank you, friends, followers and Grow Diaries community for all the comments, likes, and follows. My ladies and I appreciate your visits and encouragements throughout my outside grow. All the positive vibes are wonderful. Thanks my friends ************** Super Lemon Haze 70% SATIVA - 30% INDICA THC: 26,33% CBD: 0.21% CBN: 1.15% GENETICS Lemon Skunk x Super Silver Haze. EFFECTS A very citrus-like haze, works fast and lasts long. It is a very powerful high, very balanced between a physical and a cerebral side. FLOWERING INDOOR 10 weeks, with a production up to 800 gr/m2. Medium-tall plant, long and wide branches, ideal for ScrOG or LST. FLOWERING OUTDOOR Finishes by mid-October (North hemisphere). Production can reach 1200 gr/plant. Ideal for equatorial, tropical, subtropical and temperate climates. Tall plant, needs support. DESCRITPION The Super Lemon Haze is the most famous strain in the Green House Seed Co. catalog and possibly one of the most famous strains in the Cannabis world. Bred by Green House Seeds at the end of the 2000´s it instantly became a hit when it first joined the High Times Cannabis Cup, and since then it has won numerous awards all around the globe. The Super Lemon Haze is a cross of the Lemon Skunk with our Famous Super Silver Haze. The result is a perfect combination of the two worlds: the strong high, compact flowers and terpene profile of the Lemon Skunk and the vigor, high-yielding flowers and typical Haze profile of the Super Silver Haze. A beautiful combination for all Sativa lovers and lemon addicts. Super Lemon Haze grows strong and vigorous in a Christmas-tree shape, with long and steady secondary branches ready to hold some weight. The branches will fill in the bud sites as the plant stretches, a stretch that can be pretty vigorous and at least double its size during flowering. The flowers have that beautiful roundish Haze form but with bigger calyxes and are much more compact, like the Lemon Skunk. They end up covered in sticky resin, shining like diamonds. The taste is a beautiful mix of both parents; the combination of the Haze with the Lemon accentuates the extreme citrusy profile and gives birth to one of the best-tasting Sativa strains in history. A strong lemon-zest flavor first fills your mouth and caresses your whole palate; some people even say that Super Lemon Haze reminds them that “cat piss” terpene. Combined with the woodiness and pine-tree freshness of the Haze, it makes a beautiful, aromatic all-day smoke. The most expressed terpenes are β-Caryophyllene, D-Limonene, and Terpinolene. The effects are strong and instantaneous; the power of the Indica Lemon Skunk mixes with the psychoactive high of the Super Silver for a complex effect. For experienced smokers, it last a very long time and gives you that body high but also keeps your head clear for creativity. AWARDS 1st HTCC 2008, 1st HTCC 2009, 1st IC420 Growers Cup 2010, 2nd HTCC 2010, 1st Seattle Medical Cup 2012, 2nd ExpoGrow-Irún 2012. 1st ExpoGrow-Irún 2013. ***************** Pots: 5 gallon Air pots Soil Fox Farm Happy Frog Amended with worm castings, dolomite lime, perlite and mychorihiza Nutrients: Total Plant Solution >TPS1 >Canopy >Signal > Recharge
