This week at first in the beginning there was no clear sex being shown on the girls, after a week of 12/12 light periods. At the start of this week, which was 2nd week of 12/12, there was no pistils on monday morning but but the afternoon there were a few that I could see.
The rest of the week the pistils and calyx's started filling up nicely. Really impressed with the outcome of the new lights and the growth i'm seeing in the 2 girls.
The 9 clones i took from the two AK moms have all successfully rooted, some more than others but they all showed visible roots, i planted the 9 clones on wednesday into slightly larger pots to get them ready to come out of the humidity dome.
For the next 2 days i let the humidity in the dome even out and get them ready to go outside soon.
Today on saturday they have been placed outside for this outdoor season.
I have been feeding the girls the same regular low dosage bloom and molasses and amino acids, i may start increasing the dosage very slightly this week as there is rapid growth happening.
The lychee is having a hard time in the lesser humid flowering environment, placed it in the humidity dome.
Mid week update.
Think this week will be the official first week of flower, pistils started showing yesterday and are all over today. Will post week update this weekend.
My clones of the two AK phenos are showing small root development, perhaps this weekend I will begin transplanting them for the outdoor season.
Today will be a regular mid week pH balanced watering only. Only feeding them nutrients once a week, after 3 weeks I will slowly ramp up the strength. Warm weather is creating a nice not too humid environment within the tent, perfect conditions for flowering
Thanks to all you awesome people that clarified the grow for me. I just needed that third party guarantee that I'm pushing in the right direction and can only say I'm SUPER EXCITED to get these lights installed. Hope my girls will be as happy as I am but of course they will be!
mid-week update, the snapped stem on the AK Pheno 1 seems to be holding out well. there is hardly any wilting if any at all and it has been 3 days.
mid-week feed with just plain water and pH lowered to 6.0.
End of the week will be another 1ml/L Bud Juice Boom Bloom feed. Will probably continue this weekly for a few weeks and slowly ramp up to 3ml/L. First time using these nutrients.
Will also start with the Bud Juice Symbionics Molasses and Sugars additive after pre-flower shows. Says this can be used during veg but I would think the molasses and sugars benefit the plants more during flower?
Still no signs of pre-flower. But only day 3 of their 12/12 cycle.
The Lychee sapling I'm trying to rescue has new growth starting in 3 different places! Looks like I've managed to pull the little guy back to life! will be pretty cool to have Lychees in a couple of years :D
