Dec. 13 - start of week 11 and all's well into the flip to flower. Clipped 'er out real good twice but there's no stopping these girls. Probably looking at some serious pruning over the next 2 weeks. We'll keep it light but regular and with luck, it'll be a perfect mix between max photo synth. and energy allocation. We've gone much more aggressive with the nute shed. - gonna jam 'em every feed on a 5:1 ratioof full strength to calmag only and see how they take to it instead of the current 3:1. @quexos was spot non about the defo - shoulda been a little more ruthless but all good - we'll get there homie😉 Thanks again to the usual suspects for the comments and critiques. You folks continue to keep it chill, enlightening and positive - you grow fiends have been awesome and best to all of you this Christmas!👊 Peace, love and all that other stuff.😎
Dec. 16 update - the stretch is on heavy and yeah, we’re gonna have a height issue with the cabinet 👍. ILL Chat back later for input on how we go about tackling this eventual issue👍 Excellent 👌😎.
Background
After the batshit nonsense with this years outdoor grows getting jacked, I need some kush and I need it fast! This girls an indoor grow in the cabinet and she'll be manifolded and defo'd for 8-10 fat ass colas. They’ll spend a first week or so under a cfl assembly while the last harvest dries out in the cabinet. This grow is going to be nute sched. heavy and will hopefully test the limits of my smaller grow space (2sq/ft). Ive had my eye on a critical & kush cross for awhile and really looking forward to seeing this one grow out. Thanks for take'n a peek, stayed tuned, and happy grow'n folks! 👊
@flowerbudder, 10 week veg. Building. Out the manifold and roughly 3 weeks to start showing budlets. Sorry - didn’t really track total days. Supposed to have a GG up soon myself so I’ll check it out👍
10/17 UPDATE - finally! Today marks the end of prohibition in this country and the cultivation and use of cannabis is a legal right enjoyed by all who choose. Now the hard work of removing 95 years of stigma begins. TO ALL my Canuck growers - righteous! To all those still fighting for the same elsewhere - stay strong and diligent! THE REST of the world will eventually catch up to you! Happy 10/17 y’all!!! 😉👊👍😎✌️
Looking good! You make me want to grow some Kush! I know I'm probably already growing some, but they are hybrids.
Man you are so close! I'd like to see those trich shots when you get a chance.
@Quexos, I’ve heard good things from people about flawless - no base of comparison myself and I switch out mediums so often that it makes for an expensive undertaking just keeping up with that 😂. I’ll look for ur review and give it a shot down the line some time if u think it’s worth it👍
@TheBudWhisperer, I guess they are used to bring out terpene profiles. I have Flawless Finish for this grow. I usually end up doing a combo of flushing and finishers. I'm not convinced yet.
They are looking tasty! Trichs look about done. 2-3 weeks maybe? That will give you time to flush them out and let them bulk up. I've been reading lately that some strains get most of their bulk in the last few weeks. That hasn't been my experience yet.
@Quexos, if that’s the case I’d just treat it as something cool and not worry about it. As long as the whole plant doesn’t go albino on you and stunt ur yields it should be fine👍
@TheBudWhisperer, My autos are pretty close to the QB, maybe 19-21 inches. Its not a problem on my Cobb lights, but these QBs might be a lot stronger. There is no variegation on the Amnesia Haze, or the Dark Devil. Only the Royal Creamatic (recently), and the Critical Punch, which has been doing it regularly. That is the only issue that I've seen. There is no burning, or foxtailing. Everyone seems pretty happy.
@Quexos, gotcha I’ll check it out. I’m running a 450w vipar (so not nearly as effective as a Qb so I hear). I’ve got er real close to the canopy this time around at 11”. Not really any more height space left and so far no light burn issues so that’s a good thing.
There's that update I've been looking for! Hope you're feeling better too Bud! And you are right, they are so similar to mine other than the layouts we chose. I really like your bushy sugar leaves! got a trichome reading yet?
Looking great my friend coming closer by the day and are they still safe i wonder cause i didnt see any transformers taking guard this past week 😂😂 or are they baked out of there minds 🤣🤣
@Silky_smooth, lol - ironhide definitively won the death match last week so figured it was time for commercial lol.. plus, my kid stole his toys back!! 😂 not long now girl👍👊
First of all, lovely photos this week. That canopy looks great!
I'm a little confused. Let me see if I understand. You topped at the 3rd node. Then you topped again at the 3rd node on each side. Finally, you did not trim off nodes 1 or 2. You thought about trimming off node 2 but didn't. Your mainline structure is very nice. I'm not sure leaving that node is a bad thing.
I'm at that point in my mainline grow. I've done both toppings, now I'm training everything out to the edges of the pot. I was going to prune node 2, but so far I'm hesitant. The grow is fairly symmetrical, and everything seems to growing at the same place. I'm thinking of keeping node 2. That would give me 12 bud sites.
@TheBudWhisperer, I'm not really in a rush, but most of these seeds are mystery seeds. I have a whole stash of really nice seeds that I want to grow! Once this grow is done, I can do some experimenting with larger pots and longer veg times. My new tent has 4 autos in it, and my current tent will probably end up with 4 females. I should have plenty of herb to slow down and enjoy growing instead of keeping up with my insatiable demand!😵
@TheBudWhisperer, I'm glad I didn't buy the 100 pack of 3 gallon canvas pots! I also might try out a few air pots. I'm not sure how sturdy the canvas pots will be when you are using the sides to tie branches down.
@TheBudWhisperer, Those foam ties are serious! Where would you get something like that!
I'm hoping the scrog will allow me to get the higher budsites to grow laterally through the stretch so the lower sites can catch up. I'm building it this weekend. I need to figure out how high above the canopy to make it.
I did a little lollipopping. There was so much foliage I couldn't see the soil to water! I'm getting almost zero height though. She is an odd one.
@TheBudWhisperer, Thanks! Its not as easy as it looks, mainlining that whole tent! I lost one major branch, bending it down. I ran out of room in the 3g pots. I was using the canvas pot next to the plant to help with LST! I tried to keep the nodes clean and all the budsites open, but defoliating that mess was a PITA. Of course 3 days later you can't even tell anything was done.
Hey I’m about to start a coco run with botanicare was wonder how often did u water every day? Or when dry (people say if u grow ur coco like soil you’ll get less then soil results) so I was wondering do you treat your coco like soil and let It dry right out befor feeding?
@Simdawg709, good question and yes indeed. I essentially treat it like I would soil in terms of watering frequency yes. Wait till she dries out before feeding her again. You can certainly still overwater a plant in a coco medium. When people make that claim between soil and coco I believe what they’re referring to is that unlike soil - coco has no nutritional value for the plant. As a result you’re watering with nutrients pretty much every time when growing in coco. This is as opposed to a soil grow where I’d use almost no nutes when watering in the first 4 weeks and after that, use nutes only every other watering (roughly) for the rest of the grow. Specific to Botanicare - you probably can’t go wrong with their suggested feed schedule but I would definitely still halve the nute dosages for weeks 1-3 and see how the plant does. Every nute co. Seems to have an overly aggressive dosage in the seedling/early veg. Phase👍. I will also warn you - once you go to coco (at least indoors) you’ll find it hard to go back to soil. Great medium to grow with👍😎
Congrats for the DOTM and that absolut success :)
Really liked how the CKush looked at the end, anyway, gorgeous all the cycle long , but that purple tones are soo beautiful, at the end you get real chunky colas, thats awesome, seems dank !! Wondering how it smelled, concentrated in your cabinet hahaha
Enjoy that jewel and take care bro!
If you keep that cycles on, the show is guaranteed 👊😎
@Ageddd, thanks very much dude. She was an all timer grow and really made it easy the whole way through. Smells earthy and kushy - smooth and mellow taste with an excellent, quality, long lasting, all around good high👍😎 - I’ve said it before, I love my kush😉
