Rollercoaster Haze

SubliminalSociety The seed germinated super fast. I'm using a modified quick start kit from RQS. By day 2, the seedling was already peeking out of the soil. In the first few days, it shot up really quickly, so I moved it into the grow box. The leaves are getting stronger now, and it's continuing to grow taller.

SubliminalSociety Welcome to week 3! ...where we enter blooming... The little one is stretching more and showing signs of maturity, so I changed the light cycle to 12/ 12. My setup is small, so I'm not optimizing for length. This rollercoaster will be a short one (A bonsai rollercoaster haze? I asked Bing to create an image of that. You're welcome.) In other news, Sciradiae have moved in. I use compost and soil from my garden, so this usually happens. A yellow stickie trap never fails me (see picture). Next week I'll start trimming and LST.

SubliminalSociety Week 4 is the first stress week and this time it's especially a lot because I have to be away for 9 days. What I did: I removed the lower shoots and leaves since they never develop properly. I also took off the middle leaves because they block light. I intertwined the middle shoots with the leaves above them so they get enough light. Lastly, I cut off the top shoot. The plant has 5 shoots. Normally, I wait until the stem at the top is a bit stronger. Since I’ll be away for 9 days now, I did it earlier this time. Let's see how it handles that. The plant is well-watered, but I still expect dry soil and yellow leaves when I get back. That's a lot of stress for the plant. Normally, I top in week 5 when the stem at the top is a bit thicker. But I don't have that time this time.

SubliminalSociety **** Update: 11/5 * I received a full Plagron kit for the Monster Bud Challenge (my purple haze is currently sprouting 🌱), so I thought I’d give it a go. It’s super easy to handle even for a micro grow like mine. Started the Programme with week 4: sugar royal & power buds; 0,5ml each to 500ml water. **** Week 5 - First flowers are showing nicely!! She was without water for a week and took it quite well. The leaves feel dry and look droopy but that’s nothing watering can’t fix. I will feed her later yummy flowering nutrition later today. The topping and trimming did the trick of pushing more into the flowers. The bottom leaves turned yellow so I removed them. The bottom branches started to develop new nodes that I trimmed, too. I don’t want additional branches. This is a bonsai plant 🌱 This week I will monitor humidity, nutrition and water levels to speed up flower growth.
