Normally I will let those go until they fall off but this particular one was stretching and the cotyledon leaves were completely smashed together and not able to spread out. I gave it 3 or 4 days and leaves wouldn't open so I did surgery with a pair of tweezers and gently removed the seed. Now leaves are able to spread. I thought it was going to die is why I removed the seed. The plant was totally white and not turning green at all.
