Week 1 after germination. Vivosun messed up my order, so I am using a 28W LED hydroponic light while I await a 150W one. I have the rest of the tent kit set up (carbon filter/exhaust fan, circular fan).
Green leaves started looking light/white today after bringing the light 3 inches closer due to stretching.
Climate control set up 2 days ago, and settings are 70-74 degrees, 65% humidity, and VPD 1.0
I am using:
-Fox Farm Ocean Forest
-ILGM's fertilizer and plant protector
-Big Foot Mycorrhizae and molasses mixed into spray bottle for watering
FINALLY got my Vivosun 150W light, so setup is now complete. Plant 3 looked like it was about to die (stem bending, brown/brittle leaves) so I germinated then planted Plant 4 as insurance. Plant 3 recovered yesterday after a good watering. However, leaves on Plants 1 & 2 started to look yellow this morning (nitrogen?). It seems every day has one problem fixed, but a new problem emerges. All plants look small to me, but maybe it's because they're autoflowers.
I learned more about VPD and now try to keep in around 0.75-0.80 for the seedling stage, which is roughly 72 degrees and 71 humidity.
First week with all equipment was the best one so far, as I hoped.
Plants 1&2 are growing pretty well and had no issues, although there was only 1/2 inch of vertical growth.
Plant 3 didn't die but is growing very slowly because of 2 burnt leaves, and I'm not sure if it's going to yield anything. Keeping it alive for now. It's also much darker than the others.
Plant 4's cotyledons had the "praying hands" pose, so hopefully that is a good sign. It started turning yellow yesterday, so I watered it. Could be light burn. Definitely ahead of the pace of Plants 1-3.
Dropped humidity to the low 60s. VPD up to 1.05 as the temperature barely changed.
Also researched DLI and PAR. Moved both lights closer as a result (24" to 15" in tent, 15" to 7.5" hydroponic light).
Another positive week! I added the 15W hydroponic LED light to the tent, so it now has 165W instead of 150W. I might have to buy another 100W+ light for 3+ plants. I also may cover the hydroponic blue lights and/or move towards the smaller plants.
I received a Luvcosy soil PH meter, but all plants had readings in the 5s (!). It's a no-calibrate meter so I will use it as a baseline at the least. I may try to buy PH up if plants look worse.
Plant 1: Still the best one. Leaves moving more horizontal than Plant 2, but it seems to have less layers of leaves. Gave her Root Boost (Big Foot) for the first time and it seemed to help.
Plant 2: One leaf has brown spots (see pic), which I believe is from water drops being burned onto the leaf. I will give her cal-mag for the first time during tomorrow's watering. Gave her Root Boost (Big Foot) for the first time and it seemed to help.
Plant 3: This "special" plant rebounded after getting cal-mag 2 days ago. She's now growing leaves that look funny, so I'm still not sure if she will yield anything. One cotyledon fell off completely. I may give to a friend because 4 plants in a 2.7'x2.7' could be too much
Plant 4: Graduated to the tent from the hydroponic! She's progressing very nicely. "Prayed" to the light most of the week until last night.
This week went OK. The Luvcosy PH meter is now giving readings up to 8.0 after giving readings as low as 5.1 last week, so I have given up on buying PH meters. I moved the 15W LED light from an overhead angle to horizontal to get to the "hard to reach" places since I didn't really do LST. New light also makes it hard to keep temperature at 72, as it's usually 74-75 now. Gave the plants molasses for the first time in 2-3 weeks. Plants 1&2 got too close to the light (yellowing), so I keep moving the light up. Grew from 6" to 10" in one week! Smell is there but barely noticeable.
Plant 1: Pre-flower started with white pistils. Showed "the claw" 2-3 days ago which I assume is too much nitrogen, so I will wait another day to feed. Reaching for the horizontal light which is good.
Plant 2: Tried some LST, although it might have been a little late. I don't think I did it well and don't know if it will do any better than the sideways LED.
Plant 3: Continues to grow and produce new leaves, so I'm keeping this experiment going as long as it continues to grow. Secondary stem is much thicker than the main stem.
Plant 4: Yellowed due to too much light, and it improved after I moved it away from the light.
It's getting hard to take good pics with the humidifier and netting in the way, haha.
Reduced nutes (for the first time) to #1/#2 due to worsening conditions. Gave all cal-mag for various reasons (#2 went into preflower; #3/#4 showing burn). Gave myco and molasses since it's been a couple weeks. I used silver tent patches as reflectors for #3/#4, so maybe that will increase light. Bottom leaves of #1 & #2 started yellowing and dying, which I am assuming is due to lack of light penetration. Still trying to improve LST. Added trellis, which looks like it could be fun to work with.
Plant 1: The "claw" leaves near the top of the plant never improved (excess nitrogen?), and all leaves were pretty droopy before today's feeding. Vertical growth seems to have stopped, as #2 has outgrown it by 2-3 inches in the past week
Plant 2: White pistils started forming
Plant 3: Continues to grow but a couple of leaves have burned and curled up. Maybe I will yield a gram out of this experiment :-)
Plant 4: Looking greener now and growth accelerating. By far the frontrunner now that #1 hit a roadblock. Slight burn on 2 tips
Better than the past 2 weeks! I realized I was underwatering and possibly underfeeding. Increased watering to 0.5L every 2 days. I previously was watering every 3 days without measuring the amount. I keep on raising the lights because of 1&2's growth, so I put some risers under 3&4 to make up for it. I also covered the blue LED lights since all are now in flower.
Plant 1: Started growing vertically again, although it still has much less branches/colas than Plant 2. Also reacts better to waterings better than 2 (more praying, not droopy). Leaves tips are also spikier than 2's and have buds in different places compared to 2
Plant 2: Looking great! Using the trellis a lot and it's growing both vertically and horizontally
Plants 3&4: Both showed pistils and received flowering nutes for the first time
Lowered temp and RH a little. Last feeding seemed to have cause nute burn. I will reduce nutes next time, possibly flushing. Increased watering volume for #1/#2 from 0.5L to 0.6L. It looks like #1/#2 may not be ready within 12 weeks as I hoped, as they're still growing vertically and buds haven't developed much yet.
Plant 1: Clawing leaves (N excess) finally going away. Buds starting to grow at accelerated rate. DLI/PPFD readings much lower compared to #2, but there's light burn it if I move the light closer
Plant 2: Was doing great until I fed her yesterday. Within hours, a few leaves turned yellow, got brown spots, and started taco-ing. Luckily, it didn't worsen today. Trellis continues to be very helpful, as there are a lot of colas
Plant 3: Flowering increased, and I'm more hopeful that she will yield. Raised 4" to get closer to light, and she responded well. DLI went from 30 to 36, and PPFD went from 450 to 560
Plant 4: Growth has slowed. I thought she would be a lot taller by now since she's 2 weeks younger than the others
By far my worst week, and I'm not sure if #1 & #2 will survive. I am assuming PH is too high (7.5 but I don't trust my tester), but PH Down may not come in time, and who knows what the issues really are. There is also a moldy pool smell, and I'm not sure which plant(s) are affected. Root rot? Impacted soil? This grow is also taking a lot longer than I expected. It may be 15-16 weeks at this point, and I was hoping for 12. Maybe I should have bought photos.
Plant 1: Middle leaves yellowing rapidly. Pistils browning. Phosphorus deficiency?
Plant 2: Lower leaves turning rust color and falling off. Stem leaning near top. Sulfur deficiency?
Plant 3: Stems turning purple. Phosphorus deficiency?
Plant 4: Stating to show rusting leaves like Plant 2. This one has been very disappointing after looking like the frontrunner.
Hopefully the nute burning has stopped for #1/#2. Luckily it hasn't hit the buds, but the other leaves and almost all dead/dying. Started using 25% nute level after a few waterings without nutes.
After taking these pics, #2 got bad light burn in a matter of hours from the side light. It has almost no leaves left.
Was algae/mold in the humidifier hurting the plants? Moldy smell and fungus gnats have gone away. I will clean humidifier more often, as it turned out to be very dirty.
PH Down worked well when using 2ml/gal as opposed to 1ml/gal. Maybe the high readings were accurate after all, and it was PH lockout instead of nute burn.
I'm surprised the plants don't smell yet.

Looks like Plants #1/#2 stopped growing vertically (17" and 20"), so hopefully buds start to fatten.
Plant #3: Leaves started yellowing/rusting today, just like how #1/#2 started. I don't know how this could be nute burn since I've been barely giving any.
Plant #4: No issues but not really growing, either
Plants #1/#2: Leaf burning has stopped, so I am hopeful for a harvest, which I hope will be in two weeks. Bud growth has seemed to have stopped. I will sample a piece tomorrow to see if it has potency yet. Pistils are 50% orange, which is close to the 70% for harvest. Trichomes are 10% in small areas but not altogether. New pistils stopped appearing, and the top white pistil tips are browning. I will give them Plant Booster next feeding, which is supposed to be for the 2 weeks preceding the final flush week.
Plant #3: Getting frosty up top, but leaves are yellowing. Defoliated
Plant #4. Still skinny, but buds are growing. Defoliated

I got a water sprayer, which made me wonder if I've been underwatering this while time. I got no runoff with the sprayer, but I always got runoff when I watered with a liter measurer. Perhaps I was dumping the water in too much, and the water ran off before being absorbed. I will increase watering from 0.60L to 0.75L as a result.
I also got a 30x/60x/90x loupe. One pic attached.
Looks like these autos will be 15 weeks seed to harvest. In hindsight I should have never defoliated, since I lose so many leaves by killing them off. Ammonia smell makes me think I am overwatering, even though 0.75L every 3 days in a 3-gal doesn't sound like a lot to me. I'll water every 4 days from now on. I still get PH readings in the 7s, but PH Down didn't lower the PH in 3 of the 4 plants. Maybe the soil is ruined, so I will buy more soil for next time.
Plant 1: Looks greener, but it could be the other plants all being yellower in comparison
Plant 2: No change
Plant 3: Lost a lot of leaves from overwatering. By far the frostiest
Plant 4: Also lost a lot of leaves from overwatering. It doesn't look like it will yield much at this point since most of the leaves died off. Orange pistils started showing
None of these plants smell, even the harvested one.
Plant 1: Looks like 1-2 weeks away from harvest. I may wait until #2 is done drying before chopping
Plant 2: Harvested. This may be the biggest-yielding one. I am hoping for 1/2 oz but it may be 1/3oz. I trimmed all the brown/dead leaves.
Plant 3: Leaves all turning yellow (fade?). I will probably harvest after #1
Plant 4: I somehow underwatered and the plant almost died. I watered it yesterday and it's looking better, but pretty much all the leaves died, and there will be very little bud to harvest. I went from overwatering to underwatering in about 10 days, yikes
Not much difference this week, but I guess that's what happens in the last few weeks.
Plant 1: About a week away from harvest. Some top pistils still turning orange. 15% nutes yellowed leaves, and this is by far the most resistant plant. High PH won't go away
Plant 2: Harvested last week. Hay smell going away, and it smells a little like weed. A few days from curing
Plant 3: Less than a week away from harvest. 30% nutes burned it. PH finally normal
Plant 4: Still sensitive to everything. PH Down worked a little
ILGM rips off newbies like myself. I do not recommend these seeds, and their fertilizer is horrible. Plants burned throughout flowering no matter how little nutes I gave. Very overpriced considering the quality.
Well, this is it. After harvesting Plant 2 last week (currently curing), I harvested Plants 1 & 3.
16 grams is only for Plant 2. I will update when the others are done drying.
Plant 1: Harvested because many trichomes were amber and virtually 100% of the pistils are orange, plus leaves started dying out of nowhere. Buds got denser/bigger in the last couple of weeks, which was a nice surprise. This should yield the most. Side light made buds closer to it bigger compared to its opposite side
Plant 2: Harvested because leaves started dying off despite only giving water. Few amber trichomes, but little to no clear ones. I guess this will be my "sativa" since I harvested early
Plant 3: Harvested last week and in curing. 16 grams total dry including the gram I previously tested
Plant 4: I will cull and try to make edibles out of it because it looks like crap, plus it's holding up my next run (see my new diary).
