hmm, Lets see what week2 topping and LST will do...
Topping went pretty well. No rotting on cut.
Side leaves are coming nicely.
Overall health is strong and guy is flexible.
Since I see its in good shape, continuing LST even more
(at night time. maybe it will adjust to new position during night and start rotating towards the daylight when day comes.)
Day 15
Last week topping, and last week LST working.
All the "side-leaves" are visible to light and growing well.
100% light
back to 75% light, because some leaves curving edges.
Day 17
Grow speed is so fast, I could top it again after 5 days,
Also cut off some lower leaves and some of bud branches, to make it concentrate more on main ones
Day 18
I forgot why I had light to 75% and increase it again to 100. Then I discovered leave edges curling up..
Came here to make an entry in diary but the PROBLEM had already been mentioned in Day15... 😬
Back to - Led 50% and raised height.
Day 19
LSTing again and getting to final form for these lower branches.
Also, I discovered that I maybe accidently FIMed 2 main steams instead of topping.
My plan was to have 6 main branches from these build
Day21
After previous(4 days ago) HST trainings, including 2x FIMs, 1x Topping and 1x removed other branch, - grow rate was stunted for 2-3 days.
At the end of day3, I was already seeing new leaves being creating.
I'm definitely getting more bud-sites than I expected ^^
I was expecting 6 (2x2 from center topping, 1x2 from side), now in best case scenario I might get -> 2x2 center toppings, 1x2 from side topping, 2x2 from two FIMed stems = 10 in total
Day24
Defoliation and spreading out.
Previous side-veins are coming great, FIMed ones are still struggling to open its leaves.
Day25
Just spreading out for better light coverage and adjusting height. I'll call it minor-LST.
Topped bottom ones are coming great, Topped and FIMmed top ones are also looking nice, growing and developing leaves.
Looking healthy.
At the end of the day, thunderstorm came, tomorrow is hot weather thou (in my box)
Day26
ahah, I outplayed myself and I see white dots on 1-2 leaves. Suspecting, it could be fungi.
To save the day, I decreased humidity and ventilating via opening growbox door, also increased light% to 75, to increase overall temperature in the box and make it inhabitable for fungi.
Also, going to spray Soda-Water-liquid dish soap mix to increase pH level to ~9 on leaves. (Fungi loves 7? 😁)
Day28
Day30
Raised light, 75% power
I accidently broke one of the main branches. Noticed it too late, couldn't save it.
Day31
50% power
Rearranged other branches to take place of broken one.
Stress from cutting/braking the branch is only visible to neighboring branches, on the same stem.
I see it is having hard time to rotate its leaves or colas towards light. Also cant see much vertical growth in same branch.
Other branches that are separated from this one, are feeling fine and growing as before.
Day32
Day35
Heavily defoliated and also cut off lower budsites, that wont get enough light ever.
Left with several main sites and several side sites.
Leaves are down because of night time and also stress I gave her.
Also, LST from start was a good idea, I'm satisfied with the structure.
Next week is flowering.
Day37
Flowering time has come. Bud sites look healthy and most of them are getting sufficient light.
After last weeks heavy defoliation and pruning(?), new leaves and bud sites are growing larger. Still gaps between leaves, wasting light, but they will fill up in next 2 days, I believe.
Small smell is noticeable outside growbox.
Day38
Added nutes - Advanced Nutrients flowering Week1
Day45
Did some cutt of, and some technique like breaking main branches. What is it called?
57 days:
Nutrient deficiency appeared on leaves. It is mostly soil based medium, because of that, yellowing leaves are smooth and delayed in time.
Buds look healthy.
Previous HST training was pretty harsh, so it takes time to recover that branches. Its ok.
Also check the branch structure :3
p.s. leaves are down because of night time.
64 days
Flowering is getting more and more aggressive.
I try to even out budsites on the same height. Experimenting with different LST techniques to achieve desired result.
69 days
Last weeks LST did great job evening out staff.
Getting rid of lower/shadier leaves and bud sites almost every next day.
Trying not to cut more than enough stems and leaves.
Love the overall view for now
White droplets are visible in a small radious of the bud sites
