Day 0: soaking the pheno #1 in a shot glass of water for 18 hours
Day 1: Giving build a soil light a try and gonna experiment in transplanting from a half-gallon plastic pot to a 5-gallon fabric pot.
To combat the cold nights, I am running continuous light at 50%.
Day 1 and her cotyledons are out and about.
Will hit it with a spray or two of water on Day 2.
I decided to transplant early and it did not go super well. I think I did not damage the root ball, but definitely saw some baby roots disconnected from the main tap root system.
Day 14: stem shedding and lots of undergrowth already
Stoked to see how it does in a seven-gallon bag with recycled soil and the stash blend silica boosting growth compared to other autos I've grown so far.
Fed w/ gaiai green 4-4-4 and big foot gold tea at Day 18. Put a whole gallon in the 7 gallon pot to recharge the recycled soil. Hoping soil doesn't get too hot at some point, but its slow release so should be okay.
Day 21: Growth is solid. Added 4-5 oz of water with the stash blend in it. Defoliation of two fan leaves to expose undergrowth to more light.
3 inches of top growth from last week.
Day 28 and doing well bushing this vegging auto using LST. She is showing her pistils, so pre-flower is sure to follow in the next couple of weeks
Day 42: counting over 40 exposed budsites after light LST and defoliation on the alchemist's apprentice, which is a genetic that foxtails apparently. Looking forward to the purple foxtails in late flower.
Using The Stash Blend and Rechard every other 3rd day of watering. Heavy watering every 3 days and light waterings every other day seem to work well for keeping the 7 gallon recycled ocean forest soil moisture consistent.
Day 48: She's doing amazing. What explosive growth after a compost tea w/ gaia green power bloom and the stash blend and worm poop. Looking forward to seeing these nugs turn purple and foxtail possibly.
Foxtailing has commenced. Pretty cool gnarley looking buds forming up. Day 56 tomorrow and one last compost tea is brewing - bubble, bubble, bubble. Supposedly, she finished in 72ish days.
Day 62: watered with big foot gold and fixed low humidity issues by adding back in humidifier and lowering exhaust fan speed. 10 more days until checking daily for trichomes to ripen.
Day 70: According to the breeder, 3 more days until harvest. However, trichomes and the start of the fade suggests another week is in order. Looking at harvesting on day 77 for the luck of it.
Defoliation: Removed all the big fan leaves that were sitting in the shade.
Day 75: Trichomes are still maturing
Day 80: one more week left until harvest. She is stacking trichomes on every single nuggy and yet no smell really unless you rub up on the trichs with them fingers.
Day 84: switched to 24 hours of light a few days ago. Seeing her finish strong, bulking up and bursting with trichomes. Her smell, too, is grape and gas. It is subtle and apparently comes out more in cure.
Harvested top buds. Letting the bottom go - so much weed!
Chopped the top buds a bit ago... letting the bottom half grow and holy fuck so much more bud to be harvested - like an ounce dry at least based on what I harvested so far.
Trim jail was real on this one. Put a pillow behind the back and that really made life easier. Next time will be lollipopping this variety to make the process easier all around.
