Mom74 Week 2 is coming to an end. The little plants are about 8 cm tall and are already getting their third pair of leaves. I fertilized for the first time and followed the biobizz chart. Temperature in the tent is around 25 degrees Celsius. Humidity is at 40%.

Mom74 Unfortunately, super Silver Haze has died. I then started a Sweet Candy seed as a replacement using the paper towel technique. The little one looks good and will go into the soil tomorrow. It's 10 days late compared to the others. Let's see how it goes.

Mom74 This week I had trouble keeping the temperature stable. It was too warm in the tent. I ventilated at intervals by opening the door every hour. Now the temperature is back down. Unfortunately, it got up to 27°C in the tent. I now have 4 plants. It was due to my impatience. Super Silver Haze still hadn't come up after 2 weeks, so I planted Sweet Candy. And lo and behold. Both have sprouted. I'm curious. I actually only wanted 3 plants in my tent.

Mom74 Girl Scout Cookie had a bit too little water. One leaf started curling at the edge. After correcting that and adding more humidity, she was back to normal the next morning. The other plants are catching up a bit. I had to replant Super Silver Haze. The first seed didn't germinate. Then I also planted Sweet Candy just to be safe. Fortunately, that one sprouted.

Mom74 The growth is currently a bit slow for my taste, as I've only grown autoflowering so far. The light cycle is 18/6. I fertilized the plants today according to the chart.

Mom74 This week I tied down the plants and defoliated them, as well as did some lollipopping. I'm planning to send the plants into flowering at the end of January. I'm curious about the stretching until then. Everything is going pretty well at the moment.

Mom74 Sweet Candy has made a leap and overtaken Super Silver Haze. Berry Bomb is growing a bit slower. Let's see how they stretch by the end of January.

Mom74 I bought a measuring device to determine pH values and water quality. I can now measure my values very well, as well as the nutrient density in the watering water and in the soil. My old measuring device was very inaccurate, and I didn't have good control because of that. Since I corrected everything, the plants are growing very well. I also bought CO2 tablets and do this process every three days with an ultrasonic nebulizer. In 10 days, I plan to send the plants into flowering. Let's see how they do by then.

Mom74 In the last 7 days, I was able to control the temperature and humidity well. Today, I switched the NDL to flowering phase and set the lighting cycle to 12/12. With the help of the CO2 tablets, I was able to strengthen the plants well. I'm currently very satisfied with the results. Now it's time to wait, fertilize, and monitor. I read about silicon fertilizer, MSA, monosilicic acid. I will consider getting it and keep you updated.

Mom74 I've done a good job of defoliating this week and pinching off the small side shoots. This should help direct the energy into the main stems. I still need to keep a close eye on the temperature due to the sodium vapor lamp. I've set the cycle so that the lights are on at night and there are rest periods during the day. I'm still trying to weave the larger stems along the net. It's a bit tricky. But 4 plants in a 1 m x 1 m tent need to be well guided. I'm still using the CO2 tablets. I can't say if they improve much. I'm trying to do everything I can without implementing too much technology for financial reasons. The plants will show me what they like.

Mom74 After the defoliation last week, the plants have recovered well and spread out in the net. The flower sites are now clearly visible. The smell is moderate, and the temperature and humidity are constant. I'm curious to see how big they will get. This is my first grow of photoperiod plants.

Mom74 The plants made an enormous leap in the past week. I defoliated them at the beginning of the week, and it did them good. Light can flood the plants now. I put a wine balloon in the tent. Since CO2 is produced during fermentation, I'm using that to save on my budget. A CO2 system is too expensive for me. The humidity is averaging at 40%. I can hardly wait to see how the ladies develop by next Sunday. I will keep you posted.

Mom74 The plants have also done well this week. You can clearly see the difference between sativa and indica. The two plants in the back are Girl Scout Cookie and Sweet Candy, and the ones in the front are Super Silver Haze and Berry Bomb. The wine balloon is still bubbling moderately, and every other day I place a container with water and 4 CO2 tablets in the tent. I am very satisfied with the current growth and development of the plants. I'm thinking about buying a second tent and alternating with autoflowering to reward the waiting time until harvest with a short-term grow. I don't even smoke for that. I owe this hobby to my son. He is so selfless and tests the results for me. Then he will evaluate them since I unfortunately can't. I've been considering maybe making edibles. Candies, chocolates, or pastries. Mom74 This week we defoliated for the last time and removed small shoots. From now on, we’ll let the plants be and only fertilize as needed. The smell is also getting a bit more intense. Some buds are already sparkling. Mainly the indica strains are covered in crystals. Today I ordered a vaporizer. Let’s see if it’s something for me. It’s supposed to be very delicious and good for beginners. Last week I had a training on medical cannabis and the prescription capability of inhalation aids. Mom74 It's slowly feeling like it's coming to an end and I'm getting impatient. The buds are sticky and getting more compact. I've now tried out my new vaporizer and tested Caramel and Biscotti. It was pretty good. Great for tension and back pain. The taste is always nutty in the vaporizer. My son has now gotten my small tent and also made a start yesterday. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for him. I will soon get a slightly larger tent and then report on my next grow. I have some seeds and can't decide. I'm sure many of you know that feeling. But I will definitely keep you updated.

Mom74 Today I dared to take photos with flash. I've read a lot about light pollution and hesitated. You can now see the small differences between the ladies. Berry Bomb is the most noticeable. Its buds remind me of the fullness of a raspberry. I hope it's as fruity as described. Then I started making my own organic fertilizer from coffee grounds, banana peels, and eggshells. I'm curious to see how the girls like it. In any case, it's much cheaper and readily available since I have chickens and always fresh eggs. I also have chicken manure and aged horse manure. Only the best for the sweet ones. Soon it will be time for harvest. I ordered Canna Flush and will apply it at the right time. At least I've given it my all and hope the ladies do too.

Mom74 My plant hasn't grown for 2 weeks now. It's stuck at 77 cm. The buds are getting denser and the smell is getting stronger. The parameters in the tent are good and stable. One plant is getting yellow leaves. It's Sweet Candy. All the others are still nice and green. Unfortunately, it's not very visible due to the NDL light. I tried to check the maturity of the buds with a microscope, but everything is shaking and I can hardly see anything. It's an LED pocket microscope. I'm more likely to get a crick in my eye. Does anyone have a tip or recommendation for a better way to examine the trichomes? The closer the harvest gets, the more impatient I become. I started on 19.11.23. Mom74 Hello everyone, what can I say. Just look at them, the girls have turned out magnificent. My husband bought a microscope and we tested it. A bit tricky but okay. He couldn't stand how I freaked out with the other little pocket microscope. I got a tip for another microscope here. I ordered it right away, and on the same day, my husband surprised me with his purchase. Mine is coming on April 4th, and then I'm curious to see which one is better. About my plants They have been flushed for three days now, and the buds are getting denser. They are slowly using up the reserves from the large leaves and dropping the old fan leaves. I have a feeling that the flowers are going to grow a bit more. In some of the bud pictures, you can see that some parts of the flowers are sprouting. Mom74 The waiting never ends and I'm impatient. I've been checking with the microscope every two days to see if I spot anything amber, but as you can see, the trichomes are still glassy and milky. To make the waiting time a bit more entertaining, I've already chosen and started the strains for my next grow. I'm planning an experiment for my garden. My husband is building me a hydroponic system, and I'm also going to let some ladies into my greenhouse. I'm going to try it outdoors as well, and at the end of the season, I'll draw my conclusions about which ones I'll stick with. I've also selected the strains for the different growing methods. For example, for outdoor, I have Critical Mass, which is best suited for our North German climate. But I still have to wait for the ice saints before I can put the little plants outside. Mom74 Hello everyone Unfortunately, it’s still not quite ready as you can see in the photos. The majority of the trichomes are still glassy to milky. So it’s still a matter of waiting and sipping tea. In the meantime, my new seedlings are growing and taking shape. When my tent is empty, I can then distribute the little ones. Mom74 Hey folks, The girls are really testing my patience. The trichomes are slowly turning milky and some are starting to show golden yellow to amber. The leaves are visibly changing to autumn colors. You can clearly see reddish-brown and subtle purple tones on the remaining fan leaves. The plants are also drinking less than usual. I’m only watering with rainwater. There’s plenty of that this time of year. I’ve set a deadline and will be harvesting next Sunday. So check back then and leave a like if you enjoy it.
