Fast Buds G14 is an indica dominant cross of (G13HP x Lowryder). Estimated life cycle of this strain is 60-70 days from germination. The setup for this grow will be as follows..
Tent size - 4'x4'x6.5'
6 in 440 CFM fan ducted to push through air cooled hood
4 gallon nursery container
Pro-Mix HP + 20% extra perlite for aeration and drainage
600 watt HPS on dimmable ballast
Viparspectra PAR450 - add blue spectrum during veg
GH Flora Series nutrients with GH Supplements,Terpinator and UC Roots
All measurements are recorded in ml/gal.
10/5 - Seed was placed in moistened Rapid Rooter.
10/9 - Sprout is trying to get out, not as graceful as her sister for sure..lol. In fact she looks like she went out, partied during the night and I found her passed out in bed the next morning with one cotyledon missing.
10/10 - Day 1, she is regretting the party and promised to be good, though she will clearly be suffering the consequences of her poor decision making for some time to come. She's already been warned, we don't do boof around here! Also added one of my LED to the tent for some blue spectrum during veg.
10/12- Day 3, going to be experimenting with a low strength seedling solution made up of equal parts CALiMAGic and Diamond Nectar, so I mixed up a solution at 150 ppm and PH'd it to 6.1. I poured it into a empty plastic water bottle and screwed the lid on, then loosened it until there was just a bit of air escaping as I squeezed the bottle. I then dripped this solution ( maybe 25 ml, less than a shot glass) approx 4 in out from the base in a circle around the seedling.
10/17 - Day 8, first nutes being given received a feed of 224 PPM and 5.8 PH, watering about the same amount I would if they were in a solo cup. I am using RO water on this grow.
10/20 - Day 11, fed again same as previous, she is almost as big as her sister, so the loss of a cotyledon didnt hurt her too bad.
10/21 - Day 12, thirsty girl is dry again, Fed her at 265 PPM, 5.8 PH with 50% strength flora series seedling schedule plus 2ml/gal calimagic in R.O. water. fed approx 0.25 gal of solution.
10/24 - Day 15, gave her R.O. water PH to 5.8, she is a little smaller than her sister but otherwise doing fine.
10/26 - Day 17, gave her a feeding at 365 ppm and pH set to 5.8, approx 0.5 gal of solution
10/31 - Day 22, she is looking good, and her 5th node is getting ready to open.
11/2 - Day 24, fed her again since this seems to be right about where stardawg took off and i gave it water and she ended up deficient, so..we'll see..she is doing well and i started some lst on 11/1 but decided im gonna let this girl do her thing and see what she does, hence the reason the stem looks bent.
11/6 - Day 28, she is strong and putting out fat leaves, quite a bit stockier than her sister. What does the yellow at the tips of new growth indicate?
11/7 - Day 29. she is stretching and preflowering, still showing yellow tips that go away as the leaf gets bigger. The big fat leaves are really showing the Afghani heritage, but making it difficult to get light to lower branches. I have begun some lst of side branches to move them out from under the big fans, as leaf tucking ain't cutting it with these
11/14 - Day 36, this girl is showing P and K deficiencies, as I've been underfeeding. She was fed today 1 gal of solution mixed to 600 ppm and pH'd to 5.8.
11/19 - Day 41, fed at 715 ppm with pH set 5.8 it appears as if the deficiency has not spread further.
11/24 - Day 46, vertical growth has stopped and she is now putting out pistils. Fed her at 815 ppm according to early bloom 2 of GH DTW feed schedule. She will be defoliated a bit later this week to improve light penetration.
11/27 - Day 49, performed defoliation and more lst to shape her. Her bud sites are starting to stack up nicely and are already frosty.
11/29 - Day 51, bud sites are stacking up nicely and she has a nice bowl shape with a central main cola, and approx 8-10 secondaries. Only her side branches were lst'd. Performed final defoliation, fed according to wk1 of mid bloom on GH DTW schedule. Solution is 830 ppm and pH was set 5.8. Final runoff numbers were 939 ppm and pH was 5.8.
12/4 - Day 56, she is continuing to swell bud sites and put more pistils out, Not quite as frosty as her sister.
12/5 - Day 57, fed at 740 ppm and pH set to 5.8. Mixed according to mid bloom wk 3 of GH DTW schedule. Terpinator added and bumped to 7.5 ml/gal. Runoff readings were 1040 ppm and pH of 5.8.
12/10 - Day 62, fed at 720 ppm mixed according to late bloom wk2 of GH DTW schedule and pH was adjusted to 5.8. She is really putting on the frost now.
12/12 - Day 64, she will be getting a ripen feed later this week that will also leach her down to around 600 ppm, as she heads towards harvest.
12/15 - Day 67, decided to move to flush, as she is still quite green. Flushed with 4 gallons of water + Florakleen at 10 ml/gal. final runoff was 120 ppm
I am pretty impressed by G14! She makes beautiful chunky buds regardless of which pheno you get. The high is a slight body relaxation, with no crushing mental effects, making it perfect for an anytime smoke, when discretion is necessary as far as visible effects. It leaves you sociable, relaxed, anxiety free, She is a cinch to grow, and produces a large central cola, surrounded by chunky buds on side branches as well. She is uber sticky, again owing to the hashplant genetics, completely covered in frost.
I'll grow this one again and again. She is stable, consistent, easy to grow and gives above average yields for grower skill. This pheno didnt color as much as the other girl. She was more compact, and her shape would have been perfect for a auto SOG grow.
@@GrowThings, she is now in jars curing. not as much berry smell as her sister, but like a lemony, piney, hash. If you want absolute funk, do a run of Chemdog or any of her hybrid variants ( Chem D, Chem 91, Stardawg etc...) They always have a chemmy, fuely, diesel, dead skunk funk that is hard to beat.
