Major defoliation. I've removed some of the new branches coming out of the main stems that were short, too crowded, etc. I'm not sure how far to take that though. According to Blimburn this is an 8 to 9 week to flower. I think that means until they start to flower and not from seed to harvest. I'm going to give them another week and if I don't see any action then I guess its time to treat these like photoperiods. Struggled to get a decent VPD. Humidity in the room was between 58 to 65% and naturally it would get even higher in the tent. For awhile I was trying to control the humidity using the tent air intake fan at higher speeds but doing that removed the heat from the grow lights and would still end up being 7 or 8% higher than room humidity. To get my VPD back to the .9 to 1 range I added two 100W heat lamps and reduced my air intake fan speed to a slow setting. Doing this boosted my temperature by 8 or 9 degrees above room temp although the humidity is still 7 or 8% higher than room humidty. I increased the Flora nutrients by about 10% and increased CalMag by 20% because these things are hungry. With a ppm of 900 going in its only around 350 coming out.

Nice plant! I can relate with the auto/photo confusion. Same thing happened to me, I ordered some autos for my first ever grow... and they weren't autos. They were growing for about 4 months (4 months of "oo! Maybe it's starting to flower now") until I finally decided to flip the lights. If it happened now, I'd know exactly what was happening, but for the first grow? I though the same as you. At least you got an absolute BANGER of a plant out of it though. Looks fkin awesome!

@Stelfboy, Thanks man. Now if something like that happens in the future we know what to do! I've been growing Fastbud seeds lately and really like what I've seen. Growing does not feel like work and is really enjoyable. My grow area is my place of zen.

Hello! Why so much week of Flowering?
DickJones
DickJones
@Libanese, That was my lack of experience. I thought since I started seeing the lady parts showing on the stems that was the sign of flowering starting. Adding to the confusion these were sold as 'Autoflowers' which they were not.

Stopped by today, to witness the rigged intake upgrade from couple weeks ago. Got distracted by their height, wow! 💚
DickJones
DickJones
@XLABX, Yeah they are insanely tall. At this point I'm just hoping the one in the back does not grow any taller since the light is nearly maxed out in height.

Beautiful jungle! 💚 Sad to hear flowering didn't trigger on these genetics yet. How did they respond to the 12 hour light switch? Maybe 24 hours darkness needed to force?
DickJones
DickJones
@XLABX, 12 hour has been going on for about a week. From what I've read it takes around 3 or 4 weeks or so to see the flowers. I will keep my journal updated but nothing special seems to be happening at the moment.
