I started with 4 seeds on 12/10/23. I added small amounts of Recharge, Dynomyco, and Great white to a small shot glass, filled with warm tap water, dropped in the seeds and put them in a dark closet to sit. I planted the seeds 24 hours later in 1-gallon fabric pots filled with just compost. 3 days later, I could see one seed popped up but the cotyledons weren't fully exposed so I moved away some soil to expose the tip to the light. Because my timing is 'incredible', the same day, my humidifier went out and dropped the RH from 80% to 53% and I wasn't sure how long it was out (I'd guess about 3-5 hours) but I couldn't see the seedling anymore. The next day, I saw 2 more seedlings that looked a lot better and healthier. I was still having issues with my humidity and I believe it messed with one of the healthier seedlings because the cotyledons were very dark and the beginning of the true leaves started to crinkle. I decided to germinate 2 more seeds to start next week in the empty pots. Mid-way through the week, I added the same additives in the same amounts to 13 oz of water for each pot. Pictures were taken 12/16/23.

I attempted to plant 2 more seeds but it hasn't been promising. TL pot shows beginnings of cotyledons but it's been like that for 3-4 days (look at the center of the pot, to the right of the brown leaf). I'll give TL 1 more week and see if there are any signs of growth before I call it. TR seems like it only ants to grow my little 'helpers'. Tbh, I have no cule if my helpers are helping or hurting but sinnce i'm trying to understand how living soil work with biology, I will keep them around until I flip to flower to see what they do (time to fuck around & find out!) :). Otherwise, my original 2 seedlings have continued their growth! Since it's just these two seeds and they keep making new friends, I've decided to name BL Mac and BR Bloo (Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends). While Mac and Bloo have shown growth, I can't help but feel like the growth is still slow, but that could also be impatience on my part. I'm Posting this on Christmas because I was practically cooking all day yesterday to prep for today. HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! All pots were given 8 oz of water on 12/17/2023 and were fed another 8 oz with 1/2 tsp of Recharge on 12/21/2023. Pictures were taken 12/24/2023

More growth this week! Mac and Bloo are the only seeds that have sprouted so far. I had to take care of some of Bloo's friends because I think they were taking some of the nutrients she was supposed to get. Even still she is growing more fingers on her leaves than Mac, despite her size. Mac is definitely bigger then her sister but has fewer fingers on her leaves. One leaf looks like it started separating and suddenly decided to stop. These girl sure are interesting but I think this stunted growth may be caused by under watering and the other 'friends' in the pots. This week, I watered 8oz of water to Mac and Bloo on 12/28, I fed them both 8oz on 12/30 and 12/31. With the yellowing on blue and the stunted growth on Mac, I felt safer giving them two feedings back to back. Next week, I will try to water more frequently and pay more attention to keep my soil more moist. Pictures were taken 12/31/2023

This week was a learning week! The burns on the edges are because of the extra feeding I gave on 01/01. Other than that, It's been 2 days of watering 8 oz each pot(01/01 & 01/02), and then 2 days without water(01/03 & 01/04), and then another 2 days of plain water(01/05 & 01/06). I don't think i'll be feeding again until they are both about 6in tall, hopefully by then their roots will be a bit more developed. I think the two-day dry back shows the best results for me. Whenever I try to water everyday, I start to overwater and my plants DO NOT like it one bit. I also decided to kill the "moochers" in the other pots to give Mac and Bloo more light and space just for them. I ripped out the moochers (you can pay respects to the fallen in the BL corner of the first pic) and added the soil to the tote that I want to use in flower. I have worms in that bin and im hoping they'll break down these roots before its time to transplant. I still have my humidifier in the tent because I can't keep my temps in the low 80's without it. This is not where I thought or wanted to be by this point but hey, challenges are a major part of the learning process. Overall, there's been clear growth and that's what matters most!

Mac got more tops and Bloo grew a bit bigger, which is no surprise. The auxiliary budsites on Bloo are there but they aren't as big as i thought. Bloo has the bigger leaves out of the two. I watered 2 days on and 2 days off the whole week. Only gave them water, no nutes yet. Pictures were taken on 1/15/2024.

Now I'm starting to see more of the growth I was expecting last week. Mac is growing bushier but Bloo has bigger fan leaves. I figured I would bend over Bloo to give her nodes more light and give her a little bit of LST. I took a few crispy lower leaves on both plants to focus more energy on the nodes for both plants. I like the 2 days on/off schedule I have right now it seems to be working best. No real nutes this week, just Recharge at the start of the week (1/15/24). Mac's tallest top is 6.75in tall while Bloo, without bending over, stands 7 in tall. Pictures were taken on 1/21/2024.
