Brocolis_Grow_Br I did the transplant, it went smoothly, the root ball stayed intact. The root was still small, but it was already showing at the bottom of the pot, so in 6 days it has grown a lot. I tried to keep it with good humidity and out of the sun until now. That day it was already getting 2/3 hours of strong direct sunlight. I kept progressing over the next few days until I left it in the highest exposure possible (since I believe it was a mistake of mine in the first grow I did). For now, it's healthy and without problems. It has already faced strong sun (35C) and also heavy rain (so strong that it tore leaves from nearby fruit plants).

Brocolis_Grow_Br Now it's getting full sun for most of the day, so it's doing okay. It hasn't gained height but has started to show the next pair of leaves, now serrated with more than 1 tip. It's looking so nice that I won't touch it yet. I want to try some LST since the first one I'm about to harvest turned out to be a tall pine tree.

Brocolis_Grow_Br She's starting to get a bit chubbier and more vibrant. Last time it was the same, she showed big, full leaves that then started to thin out. It's already clear that she won't branch out on her own, maybe due to lack of light (or nutrients?) I'll wait another week and apply some LST to see the difference in structure and yield. I've never applied it to an autoflowering plant, but I want to give it a try. Some little white spots appeared on one of the leaves, I don't know what it is, but the other one that came first had the same issue. Maybe some deficiency during this period followed by a pest attack?

I'm going to start the LST and do it without too much care, just to see if she branches out and if I can learn to work with the branches (and if I have the patience). Brocolis_Grow_Br 30 days - day 24.12.2023

Brocolis_Grow_Br She responded really well to LST, but I ended up getting lazy about improving her every day, went traveling, and left her. In the end, she grew in a bit of a strange shape, with 2 main colas that are quite big, but the lower part of the plant got smaller (I THINK), I could be wrong. My feeling is that I know how to start LST the right way, but I don't know how to guide her after a certain age of the plant. If I had kept the LST well done, I think she would probably have double the volume. She branched out easily. I didn't take photos for a while, but today she's looking beautiful, with a dark green and quite healthy shine. She is 53 days old.

Brocolis_Grow_Br I left her a bit abandoned, living on her own in the sun. She has been experiencing strong weather, heavy rain, strong sun, cold, and is still going strong. I still have the same problem with whiteflies. They don't stop. I have been spraying some water with vinegar and soap to eliminate them, but I feel bad about using soap. I don't know if the soap or vinegar reacts with the trichomes. If you know, PLEASE let me know! One thing I've found incredible about her (the first one I planted didn’t look like this, nor did a third one that was planted at the same time as this one), she turned a really beautiful dark purple and is starting to get denser, heavier. In the photos and videos, you can see the colors well, as well as the whitefly marks on all the leaves. One thing I did was add a little NPK 4 14 10. The reason is that I have another girl of the same age who went through some hardships at the beginning (she was born with the roots going up and then the dog took her from the pot, it’s a miracle she’s alive). My thought was that since the harvest was affected, I was less afraid and worried about testing things. So I added a lot of NPK even on top of my super rich soil. The plant did not complain, did not twist leaves, or have color changes. I took it as an approval that I can still add NPK even on top of my soil and that I need to revise the mixture next time to add even more nutrients. I think she still has easily more than 30 days to go. She is 68 days old. January 30, 2024.

Brocolis_Grow_Br (I never ended up updating this diary, came back after 1 year so I don't have a good memory of the details, but I can comment on how it was to store and smoke the strain for 1 year) Harvest took place on February 6, 2024. So far, I had been showing a plant with a really purple pheno but I mentioned a few weeks ago that I was taking a twin (same strain, same pack, same start date) along with it. The difference was that the twin was born with bad luck, for some reason it pushed its root out of the soil, was born upside down, and then got pulled out of the ground by the dog, but it survived. Since I thought it would have low yield, I took the opportunity to test heavy NPK addition and it responded super well. So well, in fact, that 1 year post-harvest, I still didn't like the result of the purple pheno (taste, aroma, nothing turned out good) and I really liked the sister that was bombarded with nutrients. The yields of both ended up being equal as well. In the photos, you can see both plants. The purple one is shorter and bushier because I applied LST from the beginning. Meanwhile, its sister didn't undergo any process and ended up being the tall one. Overall, I found that the quality of both was still inferior to the first plant I had harvested a few months earlier (same strain and manufacturer). I believe I gave a somewhat poor soil to these here, it was clear that it could have been much better prepared, since one of them fed on high doses of NPK and never showed signs of overfert. It was 200g wet from each plant. I got 40g dry from the purple one and 43g from its sister with fertilizer.
