*First feeding last week was 1/4 recommend* THIS WEEK: *TARGETS* RH - 65%, +/- 5% offset (No automations set, statistical only) Temp - 75F (max low 70, max high 79) VPD - 0.9-1.3kPa, controlled by automation. (Dehumidifier turns on at 0.9 or below and turns off at 1.3kPa.) *WATERINGS/FEEDINGS* First watering (day 16): 1/2 gallon water until 5% run off. PH 6.5. Second watering (day 18): 1/2 gallon water and Fox Farm Big Bloom mixed at 6tsp/gal ratio until 5% run off. PH 6.5. *ADDITIONAL NOTES* Dehumidifier FINALLY came and got it in the tent Saturday night (day 20). Humidity target numbers were not great this week as a result, but were in range 90% of the time since adding the dehumidifier. Made a change to humidity and temperature settings. This week was temp range 70-79F, target temp 75%. Heat turns on at or below 70F, AC turns on at or below 79F. Both turn off at 75F. Target humidity was 65%, with the range being 60-70%. This was only for reporting purposes, I have been controlling humidity by following VPD ranges for my set temperature range. VPD target range is 0.9-1.3kPa. Past data has shown when VPD goes down it's because humidity goes up when the temperature goes down. My plan this week has been not letting the temperature go below 70F or above 79F in the room the grow tent is in and turning on the dehumidifier when VPD in the tent gets below the target range. The environment around the grow tent sits around 70% RH, so raising the humidity is easy if needed, but usually it's not. I have an intake Fan to install so I may move the dehumidifier out of the tent and into this room, depending on how well I can get the tent conditions to match the external room. The dehumidifier has raised the temperature slightly in the tent, but not enough to be alarming, only 2 or 3 degrees max. AC is in the external room and the tent is usually with 3 degrees of the room. Tent is currently venting out into this room, AC vents outside. We'll be changing the tent to venting outside in the coming days.

Started pruning and LST this week. She'd probably be 12-16 inches tall I'm guessing if I were letting her grow upright. Hope I'm doing it right. 😂 Fed normal amount this week, she responded well I think initially, I noticed a slight yellow on a single tip of two different leaves right next to each other, centrally under the light. I moved the light closer based on a less than perfect ppfd reading from the ppfd app using my phone. I suspect those leaves were getting slight leaf burn from moving the light, but just in case, reversing the watering and feeding next week. Still watering when needed, roughly twice a week, 2000 ml each time and feeding every other watering. Also switched to ml because it's easier and I have measuring cups that weren't being used, so why not? THIS WEEK: *TARGETS* RH - 65%, +/- 5% offset (No automations set, statistical only) Temp - 75F (max low none, max high 77) VPD - 0.9-1.3kPa, controlled by automation. (Dehumidifier turns on at 0.9 or below and turns off at 1.3kPa.) *WATERINGS/FEEDINGS* First watering (day 21): 2000 ml water didn't water until run off this time. Fed Fox Farm Big Bloom 15ml and Grow Big 5ml mixed into water. PH 6.5. Second watering (day 24): 2000 ml water. PH 6.5. *ADDITIONAL NOTES* Dehumidifier in the tent was the ticket. No more humidity spikes and if not for me getting the probe wet and then not noticing I left it on the tent floor after trying to dry it, VPD probably would have been in range all week. Once I noticed two days later, there were no VPD issues or humidity issues afterwards. Also stopped using the heater and just letting the temperature alone at night. It doesn't get below 65F here for anyone reading this.

It was a pretty explosive week of growth. She started showing signs of pre-flowering towards the end of the week, so I started feeding FF open sesame. Temperature settings I figured out on my portable AC, as well as set it to dry mode to control the humidity and have automations setup to turn on/off in the lung room. On above 75 degrees and off at 66 degrees during the day (down from on at 77 and off at 68 at the beginning of the week) and this keeps the tent between 69-79 degrees. At night, I turn on above 72 and off at 63, since it is very humid at night here. At night the tent is 66-75 degrees. RH during the 24 hour day is between 52-65% and my VPD is now set to dehumidifier on at 1.1 or below and off at 1.2 or above, trying to maintain a VPD around 1.2. Watering is .5L and needed every other day at this point, and feeding twice a week. Following the FF feed schedule here: https://imgbb.com/sJ8mfWT Can't wait until next week. Will be switching to 24/0 light schedule because humidity is still getting out of wack at lights out and I don't want to deal with humidity spikes during flowering.

Not much exciting this week other than I got a dehumidifier in the lung room. A legit one that takes the humidity down quickly and was much needed. Had to figure out the proper fan settings again, but got it right in the following week that I'll update in that posting. This week was the trial and error week and I never got it right. Humidity was anywhere from 55-65. I also had an episode with the controller where scrolling up turned AM to PM on a time and temperature and humidity went up both in the 80s for a few hours before I noticed the alerts. The perfect storm of that plus my watch battery being dead. Oh and added Cal-Mag...forgot to mention that in last week's as well. Only adding that to 1 of the two feedings per week. I should also note that I don't measure the light distance, I've been using a ppfd meter based on the light specs and adjusting the height accordingly as needed.

Did the 14 day trim of foliage on the bottom canopy to get rid of the unnecessary leaves that I could. I figured out the best way to manage VPD and keep humidity in range was to set the AC Infinity controller to VPD mode (was in cycle mode and that worked until the plant got larger) and turn on the fans higher when I wanted VPD raised. I also returned the in tent dehumidifier I got from Amazon. It had functionality to set humidity and detect temperature, but always detected temperature as 99F and humidity as 35 RH after being on for 5 minutes. I could put it in always on mode and control it with the AC Infinity controller, but that used a UIS port unnecessarily. Plus the new one is large enough and strong enough to dehumidify the lung room, which has been game changing for me so far. I eventually drained it outside, as the reservoir was smallish for how strong of a dehumidifier it was and I had to empty it at least twice a day. In the lung room, the dehumidifier is set to 50% which it gets the room down to and holds it pretty steadily. I also added a duct splitter to the intake hole at the bottom which now blows air around both sides of the grow container instead of directly at it. This seems to have to have increased air flow immensely. I can basically get VPD as high as I want it, even went too high (1.6+) a few times in my trial and error periods. I finally figured it out to fan speed 5 when VPD goes below 1.2 and fan speed 2 once it gets to 1.3. It will stay at 2 until it drops below 1.2 again. At this setup, VPD doesn't go above 1.35 or below 1.1 normally, and usually sits around 1.22-1.25. At this point I am watering 1 gallon every other day and feeding twice a week. The soil is dry according to touch and moisture meter after about a day and a half, but I've been pushing it to 2 days to avoid any over watering issues. The Cal-Mag amount is for only one feeding per week, the rest of the nutrient amounts are for both feedings.

This week and the following were pretty much the same, I fed and fought temp and humidity issues. Feeding is still following FF soil schedule without the foliar products. Cal-Mag was only added one feeding. I would figure out later that I had over fed Open Sesame and Beastie Bloomz.

Same as last week fought humidity issues most of the week, then figured out the room will be what it will be, and I could go with it or fight it. Meaning I figured out the room naturally sits around 77-78F and humidity is pretty easy to control at that temp. Once I get down to 72 in the tent, which is around 68 outside of it, it's much harder. By the end of this week I started to run the AC in max 77 min 72. It was max 73 min 64 before this. The end of this week is where I also realized I was feeding Beastie Blooms twice a week and should have only once and the same with Open Sesame. 1 gallon of water every other day has been the norm now. Added a fan below the canopy and also cleared a few leaves underneath that were unnecessary.

This week is where I figured out a more consistent overnight and daytime schedule. The AC rarely runs overnight and the RH is generally 58% and the temp 78-80 in the tent. I have the AC set to on at 81 off at 73 during the day and on at 77 off at 70 at night. I set to off at 70 during the day on the warmer and more humid days. This worked out so far. Also feed the proper amounts of Cha Ching i.e. once a week. Also switched to Tue and Sat feedings and will stay that way for the rest of the grow, watering in between as needed, which is usually every other day. Feeding cal-mag once per week as well

Had a moment of temperature spike due to me programming the AC incorrectly. I didn't catch it until the temperature got all the way up to 87F. The dehumidifier was still doing it's job, so VPD was all the way up to 1.99 as well. Hopefully this didn't ruin things, but I'm seeing signs of nutrient deficiency. I tested soil PH and it was right around 6. Water PH was between 5.8-6.3 for the week. My only change was following the FF soil schedule, it said to stop cal-mag, which I had been including in one feeding or watering each week. So I stopped it initially this week. Of note: Getting from Saturday to Tuesday without watering has been problematic, so I probably won't do this anymore. On Monday of that week, I had to water 1/2 gallon and I gave half the cal-mag for the week there and the other half during either the Saturday feeding or Thursday watering and thought nothing of it at the time. This week the schedule was no more grow big, so I followed that and didn't add cal-mag on the Tuesday feeding. During the Tuesday feeding, or I should say after, I noticed new discoloration on some leaves that hadn't had them before and further changes on some of the older leaves that had tip burn from a few weeks back. (I added pictures of this at the end of the week.) Initially I thought this was a PH or over feeding issue on my end, so I tested the soil PH and it was fine, water I check each time I feed or water, so that was also fine. So I thought overfeeding and since I just fed, was in a bit of a panic but wait and see mode, since it was already done. On Thursday it seemed about the same and doing some further research on nutrient lockout, everything pointed back to how I applied cal-mag to me. Hoping that is right, so I didn't feed Saturday and just applied water and cal-mag to use up the rest of the nutrients. I'm hoping to see good things in the next day or two. Fingers crossed for now. Could this also be she is ready or almost ready?

I thought this was going to be the final week, but advice I got told me to keep going, so we are still going and actually glad I did after seeing the results. I just trimmed any leaves that looked like they are dead or dying and kept feeding. I flushed on the last watering of the week prior, anticipating this would be my final week, but resumed feeding in the middle of the week. That set me up for a Sunday feeding for the following week. My portable AC automation has become completely unreliable. It doesn't trigger at all at the set temperature points. I get alerts during the day, so it's not a huge deal then as I can get in front of it, but overnight it's now an issue. I woke up to 85F in the tent one morning. I'm bypassing automation entirely and just using regular temperature settings. The downside to this option is it always runs the fan periodically in this mode, so it uses more electricity. I'll have to live with the trade-off for now. Given that I was anticipating chopping mid-week, I didn't take pictures as much, so missed a few days during the week. Otherwise, things look as expected I think.

Pretty uneventful week, in a good way. Fed the 12 week schedule, defoliated dead or dying leaves and watered between the two feedings. I plan to harvest by the end of next week. I have somewhere I have to go in three weeks, so I need to be done with drying beforehand. Looking like she will be ready by then anyways. The plan is to chop either on 4/5 or 4/6.

Drying was pretty uneventful, which is a good thing! I get why people hate trimming. I'm glad I started at 61% RH because it took me over the course of 3 days to trim and bag it all. I put a 58% Boveda in each of the bags, which are similar to the bag brand that begins G, and heat sealed them shut. I put 14g in all but three of them. Those 3 have 28g and 1 has a little overflow. Then I converted an old wine fridge into a curing fridge, set to 60 degrees, and placed the bags in there where some will stay, the rest has to get turned into edibles, butter and /or extract.
