Opened center of coco mix and placed just coco. (2 inch diameter pocket)
Created 1 cm deep divot into the just coco and watered lightly.
Put seed in divot. (12/16)
Sprouted 5 days later. (12/21)
Light on 16/8
~ 22 C at soil surface with ~ 125 PPFD
Left humidity dome on seedling until not enough height for sprout or 5 days have passed.
The last week the light schedule is 16/8
Next week going to increase the light schedule by 1 hour once every 2 days until light schedule become 20/4
Focused on VPD of 0.6 - 0.7 kPa
Tried to keep temps above 20 C but below 24 C
125 PPFD
Light schedule went from 16/8 to 20/4 by postponing light shut off by 1 hour once every 2 days
Focused on VPD of 0.6 - 0.8 kPa
Tried to keep temps above 20 C but below 24 C
Noticed thin tip yellowing
175 PPFD
Focused on VPD of 0.6 - 0.8 kPa
Tried to keep temps above 20 C but below 24 C
240 PPFD
I heard that early veg should be from 400-600 ppfd for autos. I saw this a coupe times on reddit.
Will be increasing ppfd by 50-80 once a day until ~500
Focused on VPD of 0.8 - 1 kPa
Tried to keep temps above 20 C but below 24 C
500 PPFD
Going to increase to 700 ppfd by the end of next week
ACInfinity controller hasn't been working properly for the past couple weeks so I'm getting a new one shipped. It's taking over 2 weeks for the entire process (including shipping)
Controller couldn't recognize devices and kept turning on and off my light, humidifier and fan.
That being said my VPD was a large range this past week (0.3 - 1.2 with .8 avg)
Probably was giving too little water. Noticed a little drooping / clawing. Not bad enough to consider as clawing yet but I'm giving more water a week now.
Focused on VPD was 0.9 - 1.2 with 1.0 kPa avg
Tried to keep temps above 20 C but below 26 C
720 PPFD
New ACInfinity controller came in and it has been working fine.
Top dressed with nutes & FF Coco Loco and gave more water throughout the week. the leaves feel more elevated.
grew so fast it got up to 850 ppfd so it may have light burn. Read about DLI. I'm adjusting ppfd for this next week to get abt 44.6 DLI (620 PPFD @ 20 hrs)
Focused on VPD was 1.2 - 1.4 with 1.25 kPa avg
Tried to keep temps above 20 C but below 26 C
620 PPFD / 44.6 DLI
My composte molded -_- i didn't composte tea
Read about water being more close to 6.5 for more nutrient uptake so going to aim for ~6.4 pH next week
Focused on VPD was 1.2 - 1.4 with 1.25 kPa avg
Tried to keep temps above 20 C but below 26 C
620 PPFD / 44.6 DLI
Top dressed with 1 tblspn / gal of 284 Gaia green
Composte Teaing with worm castings next week
Gave 6.4-6.5 water pH this week. Noticed a little fading due to potential lack of nutes, but hasn't really continued since top dress with the higher pH waterings. They have been putting on a lot of bud mass so I'm sure they're inhaling nutes rn.
abt 3-5 L of water per watering, once every couple of days.
Have to raise the light for another plant in the grow so this will get less light from now on.
Focused on VPD was 1.2 - 1.4 with 1.25 kPa avg
Tried to keep temps above 20 C but below 26 C
530 PPFD / 38.2 DLI
Composte Tead about 3L
Fading stopped. Will give it calmag next week as well. Seems like pH adjustment and composte tea helped, but I think it was mainly the increase in pH to ensure my microbes breakdown the nutes.
about 3 L of water per watering, once every couple of days.
fatty buds
Focused on VPD was 1.2 - 1.4 with 1.25 kPa avg
Tried to keep temps above 20 C but below 26 C
530 PPFD / 38.2 DLI
Doing 1.5 L every day, giving OAC CalMag 0-0-0 from TPS in every watering from now on. Using cocoforcannabis.com for watering guide.
Cloudy trykes but gonna wait for some amber
fatty buds
VPD:
Focused on VPD was 1.2 - 1.4 with 1.25 kPa avg
Tried to keep temps above 20 C but below 26 C
Light:
530 PPFD / 38.2 DLI
Watering:
Doing 1 L @ 6.5 first half of week and saw pH run off was 6.9. 6.2 the second half of week in hopes to decrease run off but it instead increased to 7.1.... bruh
Gave it 6.0 water today and it dropped to 6.3. I'm conservative with pH because I want to support microbial life which I read was 6.3-7.5 pH
Nutes/Treatment:
giving OAC CalMag 0-0-0 from TPS once every 4 waterings from now on. Going to composte tea once every 4 waterings as well
Other:
besides pH it was a good week. Getting a small 200W heater to increase VPD in the tent. I already have a dehumidifier hooked up but it's not enough
Waiting for amber
yellowing of sugar leaves. High pH runoff may equal the wrong range for certain nutes to uptake so it could be deficieny? Looks more like too much uptake.
We took a tester nug and dried it in my levoil @ 105 F for 3 hours. Letting chlorophyl degrade rn
VPD:
VPD was 1.3 - 1.5 with 1.4 kPa avg
Tried to keep temps above 20 C but below 26 C
Heater worked in raising VPD. Very happy.
Light:
530 PPFD / 38.2 DLI
Watering:
I ran an experiment since this plant is all done and I'm waiting for a bit. I measured pH runoff. I gave this plant unaerated 6.3 water for 2 days, first saw decrease in pH then increased in pH. Next I tried unaerated un-pH modified water and that had no effect, if not increasing it. Then I have given it 5.0-5.3 water for the past 3 days and the pH went down, then it went back up. I'm at a lost so I'm going to go back to giving it aerated 6.5 water.
Nutes/Treatment:
giving OAC CalMag 0-0-0 from TPS once every 4 waterings from now on. I have to figure out an aerating system to brew composte tea at the same time as the water.
Other:
Buddy said yellowing of leaves could be copper deficiency. IDK how to fix that and honestly at that point I was focused on other things.
Buds got super fat imo i could be tripping
VPD:
VPD was 1.2 - 1.4 with 1.25 kPa avg
Tried to keep temps above 20 C but below 26 C
No heater this week and on for seedlings.
Light:
530 PPFD / 38.2 DLI
Watering:
Watered 1L everyday with 6.5 pH.
Nutes/Treatment:
giving OAC CalMag 0-0-0 2ml / gallon = 0.5ml / liter from TPS once every 4 waterings from now on. I have to figure out an aerating system to brew composte tea at the same time as the water.
Other:
This didn't amber at all... Gonna chop it this weekend regardless! Letting this thing sit an extra week or two really let it fully fatten! I call it a missile!
