👉Dropped Seed into solution of 1:16 H202/ H20. After 48hrs the shell split and the tap root started peeking out. Then placed in black plastic container between two squares of cellulose fiber towel and soaked in the H202/H20 solution. After 24 hours the tap root has grown to 1/4" and was then placed into the media. The plant emerged two days later and is healthy.
👉I used the seedling solution 3-4 days too long and the plant looked like it was starting to have issues. I mixed some early growth solution and amost immediatly the plant looked happier and started to take off. It got no stretch so I anticipate the plant will be another short bush.
The plants growth rate accelerates with each new leaf and is more than double from 1 week ago. The plant is showing leaf curl. The leaf color is normal. I started the week with a low EC, high volume fertigation. Obviously there is a nutrient issue, but the plant is still vigourous. So I will do another high volume low EC fertigation and tweek the nutrient solution to compensate for some of the possibilities of deficiency or toxicity.
👉The plant seems to be flourishing, yet still shows nutrient issues. I tweeked the nutrient solution but evidently not enough. To address this I will do a high volume low EC irrigation followed by a regular nutrient mix fertigation. The next weeks batch will have a higher N and Cal/mg ratio. I will add routine high volume low EC irrigation's going forward. The plant may be showing signs of nutrient issues, but the plants main trunk and branches are strong and sturdy. Hopefully I can get it resolved this week.
👉The plants seeming nutrient issues may have been caused by a bactieal infetation. I performed a few high volume irrigations that had a beneficial bacteria that aids in combating bacteria and helps the plant defend against bad bacteria on its own. I also increased the fertigation volume and will be doing 2x a day going forward. The plant still has curled claw leaf tips but is still very vigorous and healthy otherwise. Pistols have been sighted and I will start transitioning the nutrient mix to flowering sometime this coming week.
👉The week was productive and the plant is getting bushy and doing the stretch. The pistols were sighted last week so I declared this week as week one of flower and the plant agrees as it went into a vigours growth week. The damage from the nutrient issues is still noticeable and seems to be just superficial. I think the nutrient issues have been mitigated. Ive begun pruning lower secondary branches and pruned the two lowest branches because they were small and staying in the shade. Ive also be plucking a few lower leaves and leaves inside the dome. Still have a little more selective pruning to do while its still vigorously growing.
👉The flower stretch is at full speed. The plant is going to fill the tent. Ive been pruning low secondary branches and leave. The plant grew so fast I probably wont get to all the small branches. The plant doesnt show any nutrient issues at the moment. The buds are starting to form as the plant streches in every direction. I forsee a long grueling sentance in trim purgatory.
👉The stretch has continued. Not only is it growing straight up its growing outward. I was reluctant to prune much but after inspecting all the branches under the dome its apparent the plant went crazy with smaller branches that will only produce larfy popcorn. I started trimming today but there is no way to curtail it all. The plant is huge and is filling up the 4x4 tent. Its going to produce lots of good big buds!
👉The plant seems to have reach its max height. Thankfully it has because its filling the tent and the light is about as high as it can go. Unfortunately an unseasonably warm february has made for wamerer than desirable temperatures so the house HAVC has been turned on to keep tent temps in range. The plant is thirsty and looks very healthy. Ive been pruning lower small secondary branches. Way more that I thought I would be pruning, The flowers are starting to build now and I am getting giddy, until I think about the trim penalty I will be serving.
👉The week has been fun watching the plant start to plump up the flowers. The aroma is strong and can occasionally be smelled outside. Ive pruned all the secondary branches and eaves from inside the 'dome'. the plant has been fading some of the fan leaves. Possibly because I have missed a couple of fertigations. But the leaves are fading not nutrition issue. Giving strong nutrients mostly, with an occasional low EC event.
The Buds are plumping and the aroma is getting stronger. I was busy with stuff and forgot to take pix so the pix are the week before and the week after, not like anyone would ever notice. THe log is the correct week.
The Plant is just in hurry up and wait mode. THe flowers are plump and the leaves are fading. I havent looked at the trichomes with a micro scope yet, but Im guessing they are almost all cloudy with a sparce amount of amber. Soon trim pergatory will be at hand.
👉The plant was faded all over and looked ready for harvest. Almost all cloudy trichomes, almost zero clear, and very few ambers. I started with the Queen cola and worked my way day. I staggered the harvest over a weeks time. This gave the lower levels a chance to mature a little more and I had shorter trimming sessions. I do a wet trim, weigh the cola then put on a rack using clothes pins that had a letter or number that corresponds to my weight log. After 24 hours each cola went into a paper bag. I would weigh the colas daily to determine the loss of moisture. When 75% (ish) of the original wet weight is gone, I put in a jar with a hygrometer, then monitor the moisture level. This plants moisture level at 25% wet weight had 58% humidity in the jar 24hrs. The jars usually have 2 colas in each, depends on the size of the cola. Lots of good big buds with this plant!
