Two NL plants (#1 and #2). At some point in the past week or two, I began noticing the foxtailing going on in all 3 plants in the 4x4. It had completely escaped my daily checking and I attribute it to the new light I had in the 4x4. It's oversized but when measuring the wattage, it was only consuming ~300W. Though it was running at 50%, I had a white vivosun fan next to a port in the ACI tent which (I think) heated up the rubber seal and rubbed off. I attached a picture of it last. Reported it to ACI customer service but haven't heard back yet. Just want to bring it to their attention. Overall temp/rH in tent has been 72F 50% with lights on. The light must have been far too close (10in) to the top cola. So, I turned the light down 5% and raised it at least 6in. Another large sign was the tacoing but not all 3 plants were displaying it so intensely, thus I had ignored it too. Flushing this week. Runoff EC is already at 500 on sampling but I will push it out a few days while I continue to look at trichomes. Please let me know your thoughts on the foxtailing! I feel like I semi-ruined the outcome but live and learn!

I have been observing slight twisting in new growth. Water going into the plants pH has recently been upped to ~6.0 - 6.2 due to Armor Si being added and needing pH down to combat it. Light is 12" from the plants at 100% (275w light).

I think your light is too close, but you should use a light meter to figure that out. or look at your lights manufacture specs and see the recommended hang heights and dim settings. https://www.mars-hydro.com/tsw-2000-led-grow-light They recommend 100% at 12" but it might be to much. try backing it off to 15" or dimming it 10% if it allows that. My lights only dim in 20% increments.

Decided to measure my runoff PPM out of the blue.. my input is ~600 PPM and my runoff is ~1400 PPM. I haven't exactly achieved 20% in my runoffs when watering. For my next watering, should I increase the volume until I register a lowered runoff? This is week 13.

Hey there! Checking your runoff PPM is a smart move to monitor what's going on with your plant's nutrient uptake. It's normal for the runoff PPM to be higher than the input, but a significant increase like that could indicate a buildup of salts in your growing medium. Since your input is around 600 PPM and your runoff is at 1400 PPM, it suggests that your plant might not be fully utilizing all the nutrients you're giving it, leading to accumulation in the medium. Increasing the volume of water you're giving until you see a decrease in runoff PPM can help flush out some of those excess salts. Aim to achieve at least 20% runoff to ensure thorough flushing. However, considering you're in week 13 of your auto Northern Lights, you need to be cautious about overwatering or causing stress to your plant. Gradually increase the volume of water over a couple of watering sessions to avoid shocking your plant. Additionally, if you haven't already, it might be a good idea to check the pH of your runoff as well. Fluctuations in pH can affect nutrient uptake, so ensuring it's within the proper range can help your plant better absorb nutrients. Overall, a little adjustment in your watering routine should help rebalance things and ensure your plant gets what it needs without any excess buildup. Happy growing!

Good Diary fellow grower! So far how is the Nirvana auto strain treating you?

@SirBudAlotts, So far so good. Sprouted quickly and looked healthy as seedlings. Though, out of the two, one had stem-support issues early on and had caught it blown over one morning early on. That was my fault, should have had some support for the main stem. Hoping they respond well to the light LST I did today. One is a 2 gal, the other a 1gal.
