12/26/23 1130 - Put two seeds in water.
12/27/23 Transferred to paper towels on a heat mat.
12/31/23 1800 - Planted 2 germinated Blimburn Moonshine Cookies into 1 gallon fabric bags.
1/4/23 Both have opened cotyledons and lost their helmets.
1/18 - In week 3.
1/22 - Still in week 3.
Feeding GH nutrients. Beginning was looking like a mutation but I am hoping she is starting to grow out of it. Added more coco to support some base support.
1/24 - Watered until runoff.
1/28 - Added some pictures, seems to be doing healthy. Watering every other day at this stage until pot feels lighter. Since she's so squat/thicc.. haven't done any training. Seems pretty bushy though. Watering until runoff every time. She is in a 1gal.
2/1 - Week 5 Day 1. Still a squat little girl but seems to continue to develop. 1 gallon pot. Have been doing some LST to keep the bud sites uniform for the canopy. Hoping she begins to grow vertically here soon. Will add more photos as the week progresses.
2/5 - Entering week 6 from sprout. Accidentally snapped a stem while doing LST to the main top (won't be topping). Used masking tape to bind her but we will find out what happens! Definitely not as perky as the NL girls but looking at the early pictures of this plant, felt like mutations manifested.
2/13 - Plant is typically droopy from day to day. Is in a one gallon. Watering once a day, sometimes recently 2x a day. Defoliated some of the bottom leaves yesterday. Early on, she looked a bit deformed and she flowered awfully early. Going to ride it out but not sure what else to do for her.
2/20 - Still surviving. Plant has been praying at lights on lately, I think correcting lighting issue and maybe a slightly off pH on a feed or two did not help the plant along as much. She is short but will get her to the finish line.
2/28 - Moonshine cookies plant is still alive. Using the same nutrients as the NL plants, to save time mixing different solutions for plants that are maybe 1-2 weeks apart. At this point, this plant is just an experiment in seeing how it finishes.
3/13 - Possibly observing some deficiency in the leaves coloring (more yellowing). Feeding exactly the same formula as the NL plants though they are a week apart, or so. No idea the lineage on this -- freebie seed from NASC, but we're getting there.
Pruning leaves occasionally but haven't seen too many dying ones yet. It can be hard to tell with the fade and my inexperience. Runoff EC is about 1.5-1.8. I think I will wait to harvest this along with the two NL plants so I can hang them all in the same tent. We will see.. but that is the goal.
Flushing this week. Could have chopped already but am going to do all 3 plants at once and hang them in the same tent.
Did a lot of defoliation, though I know this is so late in flower. Was worried about the humidity spiking with lights off since the weather recently turned. Ended up putting the oil radiator back into the tent today to battle the rH at lights off.
Maybe a couple dog hairs in the shots. Sorry! :)
Yeah, some foxtailing. See the northern lights diary week 14 for more information.
Harvested on 4/8 late at night. Hoping to trim on 4/20.
Was a squat girl and had some issues in the beginning -- maybe variegation or just mutations. Oh well. Free seed, made it to the finish!
