This is a project I have been working on for about 3 weeks.
Its my pressurized, super quiet, no smell with water drainage Grow Box
The inside is about 98% airtight inside. It is fit with sound barrier paneling.
I am pulling in cool air from the bottom at about 150cfm with a 4 Inch 200 CFM Variable Speed Inline fan turned down so its super quiet. I also have a wireless kill switch if needed.
I cut a 4 inch hole It the top to fit a 4 inch carbon filter to exhaust hot air from the top with a small usb fan to assist the air pressure. It is 74f in my room and it is 81f under the lights so it dissipates heat pretty good.
Its has slim concrete blocks under it so I can fit a drain pan to catch water from a hole I drilled.
The inside grow space is:
45.5inch wide X 24inch deep X 33.5 inches tall or
115.57cm X 60.96cm X 85.09cm
Square Footage = 7.58 ft² of canopy or
Square Meters = 0.70 m² of canopy
Now that I got all that out of the way. I got 3 of these Mango Bubble Cloud Autos for free with my order of Incredible Bulk Autos.
I really don't know what to expect from this strain, Its a new strain from Dr Krippling so who knows.
I hope they don't get too big for my grow box. I will do whatever LTS, HTS or topping to make sure they fit.
They germinated really fast.
18 hours in water, then under 2 days in a Jiffy Peat Pellet then I just transplanted then into their final pots.
5 gallon fabric pots filled with
80% FoxFarm Strawberry Fields Potting Soil
10% Compost
10% Coco
Made it threw seedling phase. The soil is a little too hot for the second one but I gave it some Recharge and she has recovered. I should have added 10% perlite but its too late now.
Im going to hold off on giving them any nutrients for a while and let them live off the soil for a bit. I will be giving them microbes, micro nutrients and boosters.
Very good growth for 7 days imo. I gave each one a 30cfm 120mm fan each. It seems to help temperatures and stimulate growth.
Temperatures have been perfect 69-78, its like a nice sunny day in side.
Added side lighting on day 10, 2X30 true watt thin led panels.
So now I got 2x100 watt, 1x70 watt and 2X30 watt LED lights for a total of 330 true LED watts. Its very bright.
I introduced them too a very light feed solution yesterday when they woke up. They seemed too perk up right after.
I have been working on trying to get a time lapse working. I have been testing it and trying to get the bugs worked out.
Maybe next week I will have some time lapse footage for you all...Maybe.
No issues with these girls so far.
I went ahead and LST both of them and spread them out. I got to keep them shorter then 24 inches. I haven't decided if I should defoliate...... they are looking a little bushy but for now I would rather not stress them. Light penetration is still very good with the top and side lighting. Maybe I will change my mind as the next week progresses.
They are just starting to flower on day 22. (Day 1 of week 4) so they just got there last dose of Gold Shield Silica.
Temps have been pretty good. It got 86F the other day but I opened it up before they got too hot, average day temps have been 75-82F
These 2 girls are looking and smelling good, canopy is almost full. I'm glad they are staying smaller and not over running my grow box.
Had to LST the first girl again. She recovered well and now fully spread out and shes finishing up stretch. She has some yellowing leafs at the bottom so I upgraded her nutrients to 5ml/gal. I will see how she reacts to it and adjust accordingly.
The second girl was just a big bundle of leafs, I took off about 10-15 big leafs, now more bud sites are exposed. (See Pictures) Maybe I can get a little bit more LTS out of her. I'm not sure she is going to stretch anymore. Time will tell.
Update: I made a Flowering feed guide for myself so I figured I would share it. I'm going to do a small flush on them soon to remove nutrient buildup. I'm sure it will help finished quality.
The first girl has been stretching all week. I have had to LST branches to keep her short. I hope she is done stretching but if not I will just keep tying branches down. She did make it too close to a light and it burned one of her buds. It did not cause any issues tho.
On the second girl I was tying down the main stem and damn near snapped it off. I freaked out and cried IRL. 😭
I braced the top broken half and taped it up then I gave her a large dose of Silica and Recharge to help her recover. Only the broken top of the main stem went a droopy for 4 days and she almost stopped growing.
She developed some rust spots on some of her fan leafs. I gave her Cal-Mag the second I saw the spots developing but they developed regardless.
My guess is that she used energy in her fan leafs to help her recover.
The good news is she looks fully recovered. 👊 I can feel a knot where the break is, very fast recovery for such a bad break. For sure this was my worst LTS accident to date. I will get a pictures of the break when I feel comfortable removing the tape.
I upgraded there lights with 2x 100w 3000k flood lights with the lens plate removed. I have had really good results with these lights in previous grows and they are thin so they fit perfectly.
I now have:
2x Castnoo 300s (really 100w)
1 Grow Star 150 UFO(really 70w)
2x Viugreum 100w 3000k thin flood lights (really 60w)
2x MAIICY 45w (really 30w)
That's a total of 450 true watts. 225w for each of these girls. Very bright inside. Maybe over kill?
Well the buds are stacking up pretty well. They have been trying to stretch a little this week so I have been LST branches as they pop up and trying to keep them from getting too close to the lights. Its a really tight fit so going forward I gotta be careful what strains I grow in this cabinet. I will have to get some small/short strains to grow in here and recommendations?
Nice Bud swelling going on.
#2 has outgrown the grow box. I'm going to swap her with a small plant from my big grow room. She got a little bit of light burn but not to bad.
#1 is close to the lights bud she seems ok. I will move her if I have too.
