Here we go again....
Ok this time going through my seed vault I found some mimosa seeds I've heard good things about it but lets find out for ourselves.
I put them in the damp paper towel on Wednesday Jan 3rd, today is Saturday Jan 6th and they all popped, so I put them in there rockwool cubes and into there dome home..Here they will sit for about a week or two just depends on them, the sooner they get some roots coming out of the bottom of the cube the sooner they will go into the system.
Should be a good grow, I really like growing Barneys Farm seeds there genetics are always on point.

Well made it through the first week...I'm always concerned the first few weeks, it like cradle death in people but with plants...the first few weeks from seed anything can happen, they can pop start to grow and then just die..
The girls are looking strong a little yellow on the beginning leaves, but it happens alot when just starting them, they will correct themselves once in the system. Now just to finish cleaning the room and setting it back up to get them into the system...

Off to a good start...
Well made it past the first few week's where anything can happen when starting from seed..
The girls were put into the Hydro system last Tuesday and they just started a couple days ago setting in. ..It always takes a few day or a week for them to set in and start to grow.
Everything looks good and nothing else to report.
Until next week, smoke a fatty, help out your fellow grower.
Another week closer......
Well made it through another week without any problems..The girls are loving there new home in the system and are starting to take off.
Had to add/turn on the humidifier it was way too dry all the way down to 20% .Had a couple leaves start to taco from being so dry, fixed it pretty quick, now my humidity is between 50% and 65% ..ooo well shit happens but the girls love it now the environment is perfect..
I would say looking at my girls maybe by Sunday they might be big enough to flip, just need them to get between 10 and 12 inches..if they keep growing at the rate they are it will be this weekend when we change the light/time. But let's just wait and see..
Nothing else to report...

Well the girls are looking great, 1 of the girls has a little leaf mutation going on and to make sure its not a fungus of any kind I've add hydrogen peroxide to the reservoir and ran it through the system with the nutrients just to be safe. After a few days of adding Hydrogen peroxide it looks as if the mutation is in the old growth and all the new growth looks good...
Besides that one problem everthing is going great and probably going to switch the girls into flowering by Wednesday seeing there at 9 inches right now and at 12 inches is when I flip them, and that should be in a couple of days.
Nothing else to report..

Well I put the girls into flower on Thursday last week and kept them under the grow bulb until today Monday, I left them under that light so they wouldn't start to stretch to quick and give them a couple more days under the grow bulb, and now I've spread them apart and turned on the other light ...A Hotilux HPS 1000 watt and tomorrow I'll change the grow bulb into a Hotilux 1000 HPS also... . The girls are on there way, there looking really good and healthy.
A side note of the girl I thought had a virus, no thats not what it was... it was somehow needing more water because once I upped there feeding that girl came right back and is now growing like a fool. It sure didn't look as if she was thirsty but I quess thats what it was..
It's amazing after more than 25 years of growing I'm still learning things, all the girls were getting fed and looking good but that one wanted more early on in her growing....once upped she snapped right back, and the other girls love it too...
Thats all for this week, nothing else to report.

Well this week was a leaning experience...I've been growing for over 25 years and this one stumped me.
The one plant that I thought just needed water that wasn't completely it....My PH meters were off and I recalibrate them and found them to be off a few points ..it was reading at 5.9 when it was actually feeding at 5.6/5.7 ..which then in turn made my plant leaves grow twisted and blister looks to the leaves..I really first thought I had a pest problem or a virus, but no it was a low PH which caused the twisted and blister look to the leaves, funny thing is it didn't effect all the other plants...Well now its running at the right PH and the progress the plant has made is like night and day...Back to normal...The picture of the plant by itself is the plant I'm taking about...Besides that plant one other plant got a couple of yellow leaves on the bottom of them from the PH swing ..but now all of them back to normal.
It feels good when you figure out what is going wrong with your grow...Like I always say, every grow your learn something, never stop learning.

What a great week, ...The plant that had twisted leaves and blister look on the leaves is back to normal and most of the blister look has flatten out and all new growth is perfect......Back story real quick....My tri meter was not calibrated right and was feeding them at 5.5.-- 5.6 that plant didn't like it and it was to low and thats what it caused, after recalibrating and now having it at a steady 5.9 the plant looks great and is budding out nicely.
The rest of the girls are growing beautiful and are budding out crazy, going to be some big bomb budz.....Nothing else to report.

Well not a bad week, everything is going great. The only problem which seems to happen alot with low ceilings is ..these plants are big... Very Big, all pretty much the same height over 5ft each, its not that I don't like big plants, I do but when you start to run out of room and you have to get creative with them under the lights, they need to be at least 18 inch from the light or they will start to foxtail from the heat ...Yes I know I could of topped them to slow or stop the height, but I dont like to touch anything when growing, I like to let them do there thing including not clipping any leaves.
Besides that everything is going great,..the one plant I had a problem with snapped back once I corrected the PH and shes growing/budding like crazy...
Nothing else to report:::

Well another week down and the girls are growing great...The only problem with this grow is these girls are big, very big, having to move and get creative with the plants so there not directly under the light but also not to far away....Dont get me wrong there under the light its just my ceiling is very low and these plants are almost 5 ft tall, so I needed to pull them back out from directly under them so not to burn or get to hot...Its tough but fun..
Besides that they are growing great and the smell is awesome.
The Mimosa shot from Herbiesheadshop seeds is kicking ass on budding out, just filling out like crazy.
The other 5 that are Mimosa x Orange Punch are a little behind on the budding size but everyday there catching up, no matter what there going to be nice.
Thats it for this week...

Well another week down, the girls are doing there job and pushing out like crazy, the room is smelling great, and a couple of them are beyond frosty...
No problems this week, besides finding a banana on one of my girls, I've noticed it happens sometimes when pushing them. I've pulled it out and checked the rest of the plant its good....and at this point it doesn't bother me, to late in the budding cycle to harm the plants......
The girls are starting to come to an end and going through there changes in bud structure and in leaf change, there smelling great and getting frosty. ..Nothing else to report.
Until next week, smoke a fatty, help out your fellow grower.
Another week closer....
Well its coming to an end pretty soon...the girls leaves are starting to fade and the buds are getting nice and tight...Frosty and smelling great.
Nothing to report, not much happens the last few weeks its just you got to have patience, and let them ripen up...
Until next week, smoke a fatty, help out your fellow grower.
Another week closer.....
Welll this is the end...this is the last week, the girls are finishing ripening up..All frosty and sticky. There looking great under the scope. milky and some amber...Just the way I like it..
Not a bad grow, I just have to remember that these girls grow big [ tall ] ..Its ok we managed.
Well thats it for this week....
Until next week, smoke a fatty, help out your fellow grower.
Well its comes to an end of another great grow/season not to many problems and I am very happy with the outcome.
The only problem I had with these beautiful girls were, they are big plants, BIG PLANTS.
These girls just wouldn't stop pushing up and when you have low ceilings it can be a problem big problem.
Not being able to put the whole plant under the lights because they would be to close and could cause light burn and heat stress the outcome was still great..
1 plant that just grew to big and had to be pushed back from the lights she grew a little over 4 1/2 ounces on her. She would have grew a lot more if she had direct light on her..
The other 4 plants all were about the same they grew a little over 6 ounces a piece, again if they could have been a little smaller to get the plant covered in light, these girls also would have grown more.
All these weights are after they have been dried jarred and burped... I don't weigh wet weed..
All and all it was a fun grow, very few problems now that summer is coming around its time to shut down the grow room for a few months until fall comes around again...I do this and I know I can get 3 to 4 grows in when the weather is cold/cooler, its hard to fight the heat and running 2000 Watts HPS puts out a lot of heat and uses a lot of electricity and I really don't want to add to that bill, so I wait and do a couple plants outside..
The final oz total with the Mimosa Shot plant added was a total of 35 1/2 ounces. not to bad for not being directly under the light.
Thanks for checking out my diary.

Well another great grow.
