Grautvornix It's happening again! This time I've gone old school with Super Skunk. The first weed I ever smoked a long time ago. The typical Skunk smell is still in my nose. Let's see if I can get it just like I remember it.
Sowing is super simple: dig a hole 1.5 cm deep in the soil, put the seed in, cover it with soil, done! I'm a farmer and also grow hemp. Let me tell you, the hemp outside in the field has to deal with much harsher conditions for germination and manages just fine. A seed that struggles to break through the soil indoors won't turn into a good plant. Most of the problems with germination that some growers complain about often have a simple cause: they fiddle too much with the seeds during germination! Leave the seeds alone, they don't need help; Mother Nature has got this!
I watered the substrate with nutrient solution exactly according to the Canna feeding schedule. The last few times I was a bit too cautious with the dosage for germination on Coco, so this time I'm giving it a bit more boost right from the start. Let's see... In two to three days, the first green should sprout. ๐
And here it is, on the sixth day after sowing. Welcome! ๐ I'm going to let it grow in peace until it has three nodes and then top it for the first time.

Giving the plant more nutrients at the start was the right move, the Canna nutrient schedule fits very well. Since I have very soft tap water here, I can't avoid using a CalMag nutrient. I've been using the one from Canna for a long time, and it really works very well. I'm currently watering every three days and always drain-to-waste. I've increased the PPFD from 300 after germination to about 400 now, which saves electricity and is completely sufficient for the entire growth phase.

Grautvornix At the beginning of the week, the third set of leaves is coming in. Midweek, I topped the plant behind the third node for the first time. Now, it's moving forward with two main stems, which I will initially bring horizontal with LST at the end of the week to top them two more times in the coming weeks. My goal is to bring the plant into flowering with eight main stems. The root development in the AirPot is already looking really good, with the first roots showing up everywhere at the holes. ๐

By the end of this week, the eight stems are slowly starting to show. The plant looks quite bushy, but I don't want to defoliate it just yet; there are still too few leaves. I think I'll let it grow in peace for another week and then send it into flowering.

Grautvornix It's going into flowering at 20 cm height. I'm going to pull the eight main stems further out during the stretch to give them a bit more space. I'll also pull a few side branches towards the center to make good use of the free space there. I lightly defoliated the plant and removed a few small side branches that weren't going to amount to anything anyway. Slowly but surely, a nice scent is coming from the tent when I open it... ๐
By the end of the first week of flowering, I brought the eight main stems on the outside and eight nice side branches on the inside to the same height. I also defoliated a bit more and removed a few hidden side branches. The plant's canopy now has a diameter of about 60 cm. It looks wonderfully even. I like it; I think I'll leave it like this now. The stretch, in any case, was very limited this week; it wasn't even 4 cm.

Grautvornix The Super Skunk is doing great. It hardly stretches but is forming beautiful new leaves. Looks good! I've never experienced such little stretch before. Other than that, nothing new at the moment, a bit of LST here, a bit of defoliation there, and patiently waiting for the floweringโฆ ๐

Grautvornix You can slowly start to sense the flowering. The plant looks very good and healthy. Right now, I'm just defoliating a little. As soon as I see where and how the buds are growing, I'll defoliate more vigorously to ensure enough light gets in there. By the end of the third week of flowering, the buds are now clearly visible, and the plant has reached a height of 44 cm. I've defoliated it a bit more strongly again.

Grautvornix At the end of the sixth flowering week, the first stigmas are turning brown. I estimate that there are still two weeks until harvest. So starting next week, no more nutrients, just water and a bit of Canna Boost. I'm not satisfied with the plant because it hasn't formed proper buds. I've done much better with the same setup in the past. I actually expected a lot more from a Super Skunk. What a shame! ๐
