Hello Growmies,
Week 6 with our G.M.O. strain reveals the individuality that comes with cultivation. Observing the plants, we note the intriguing divergence in growth patterns, each telling its own story.
Pheno #1 has defied our expectations. While it has not been topped, it's the smaller and sturdier of the two, focusing its energy on building a robust stem and dense foliage—a sign of its intrinsic genetic strength and perhaps an indicator of a concentrated yield to come.
Pheno #2, in contrast, has been topped and introduced to the SCROG technique, resulting in a stretchier demeanor. This approach has encouraged lateral growth, allowing the plant to spread its branches and optimize the canopy's exposure to light. Despite its taller stance, the strategic cuts and guidance have set the stage for what could be a widespread and even flowering surface area.
The varied approaches to training these two phenos have provided us with a living lesson in the plasticity of plant development. The untopped Pheno #1, compact and resilient, may not reach the towering heights of its companion, but its concentrated vigor suggests it may pack a punch in flower density.
Pheno #2's stretchiness, a response to topping and SCROG, paints a different picture. The plant's energy has been redirected to its lateral branches, promoting a more expansive growth that could lead to a multitude of budding sites. This difference in stature and form underlines the importance of cultivation techniques tailored to each plant's response, illuminating the path to maximizing their potential.
Our consistent feeding regimen remains unchanged, supporting the plants with the nutrients needed for their distinctive growth trajectories. As we have moved away from relying on the extraction box, we are reminded of the resilience of these plants and their ability to adapt to the environment provided.
As we transition from vegetation to the flowering phase, the true test begins. The sturdier Pheno #1 and the sprawling Pheno #2 will soon show us the fruits of their growth patterns. The expectation of a bountiful harvest is high, and we eagerly anticipate the unfolding of their full potential.
With the wealth of diversity in our tent, we're reminded of the adaptability and uniqueness inherent in the world of cultivation. Each plant's journey is a narrative, and we're here to read every leaf and bud that comes to life.
Stay lifted and in tune with the garden's tales,
Salokin
@Natrona, thank you my dear, just thought it would be a good example to showcase. Some of the other strains even had to be supercropped due to their stretching.
@morganfreeman420, thank you 🙏 growmie, I like the second pheno, the tall one better, it has an amazingly weird scent to it and haven’t seen bud formations like that before either :)
