The white widow from AMS is a superb example of a widow. We grew one a few years back and myself and my wife both agreed it was the nicest damn white widow we had smoked. So here we go again. My last diary was a nice finish but I think I could have run her a bit longer. This run I'm under no time constraints as I have a staggered cycle so it should be fun.

Germination was painless. Soaked in a glass of water and humic acid ,PH to 6.2 and 22c. After a 12 hour soak the bean was put into some paper towels damped with the humic acid mix and placed into a dark cupboard at 23c. 2 days later we had a tap root.
Germination complete. Into a pot until we get a shoot.

I got a shoot after 2 days in the Plagron lite mix. Growth is excellent.
There's not much to say at this stage. Everything is automated except feeding. I like to do this by hand. Well let me rephrase. I prefer to water by hand ,it's really dull but it's the only time I get to spend with them so that's why I do it. Catch anything untoward nice and early
Feeding with a mix of beneficial liquids from Greenbuzz nutrients. No need for npk for at least 4 weeks.
Come back next week and see if she has got on.👍🏼
White widow is doing very well. I've moved her into a 1l pot and will let her veg out for a few more weeks.
Still just taking beneficial liquids. No NPK. This light mix is not so light!

AMS white widow has had a good week of vegging. She has doubled up and is growing as I would hope. Nice indica biased leaf set and a great shape to her. Node space is perfect,she is perfect.
Foliar sprays daily and a mix of water and greenbuzz beneficial liquids as needed.

No issues with feeding. Still no npk needed I think the substrate has another week of goodness and I'm gonna add another 4x on the report. I think it may be enough to power her through the stretch also. We will see

This is a stout little thing. Taken to her tiny 3l pot no issues as yet. She has had a good stretch and is starting to show some flower sites.
Feeding is in to bloom phase but low dose and higher pH than normal as the light mix seems to have a crazy buffer.
I expect a good set of flower from this girl looking at her branches,they have a good shape and very strong shoulder onto the main. Good for bearing all that weight
She looks a bit sad in the pics as she has just had a feed . All in all a great week for the widow

I love this plant. She's in just 3l and is going so strong .. I am super impressed with this pheno. Super strong and the structure is like porn..spacing designed by angels and blessed onto my plant..😜
Feeds are gonna take an increase this week as I would like to push her a bit and see how chunky this monkey will get.

I've moved her into full bloom feeds with the last of her N being fed yesterday. Now she will get some higher levels of p and K .

This girl has grown very tall and looks kinda of funny in her little 3l pot. But the flowers are stacking up and the main stem is so solid I think it will take the weight of these big flowers. My biggest issue is going to be making sure the pot does not dry out so much it is to light to hold the plant up..😂
Feeds are at 1.5 with more PK given every other npk feeding. NPK is fed every other feeding and this seems to work well

A nice week and she's in her stride now. There is no real drama to report. She has added another few CMS to her flower top on the main and is showing good health
I think she could take a higher EC but Ive decided to just let her run chill and healthy . The small pot means I have to be careful of salt build ups from the pot drying out too quickly. Apart from this it's been a good week

An okay week for the widow. Her height is ridiculous. Because she is so tall she has suffered some cell damage to some of her leaf around her top . This was caused by my excess UVB sessions so in response I have cut the exposure to just one 30 minute session a day instead of two
Feeds are based on week 6 of the green buzz schedule with more PK being used every other npk feed
Apart from this leaf damage which you can see in the pics I'm happy with the widow and will plod along until next week. I think this one asks for 70 days in flower so a little way to go.

The final week for the white widow. She has been great for me,growing in a very distinguished shape which has made it very easy to care for.
Apart from the UVB damage to upper leaf she is in great shape her flowers are swollen and super frosty. Another week of just water and beneficial liquids for her and then the chop.
Considering I'm in just 3l with this girl I'm very happy how it has gone. A very good example of a widow from AMS. Strong internode joints although this one has grown more like a sativa than an indica . My last was definitely leaning more to Indica in her structure🤔.
Anyway all good this last week and now the final leg of the growth..

White widow has finished at 64 days. Great plant with a stress free final week. She was on just water this week and was left to dry out for the last 3 days before the chop
She's only in a 3l pot of light mix that is only holding probably 2.5l so all in all I'm very happy with her wet weight. I don't see there being too much loss on this one as she drys out as her buds are rock hard dense and leaf mass is at a minimum.
Back in 10 days of 18c and 50%.

@MrJones, she's a crazy shape. I grew 1 of these before in a much bigger pot. This one is a 3l.. last one was 12l I think. It grew the same,very tall but much more lower branch extension. I guess the smaller pot has to sacrifice something. I love this one though. Again,thanks for stopping by and showing support 💚🌿🇬🇧👍🏼

I think it is time we did a side-by-side grow of the same strain and breeder and see how our grow styles and setups affect the results!
