I bought 1 Pineapple Express seed from Barney's Farm. The seeds were soaked in a glass of water overnight and then for 24 hours in a wet paper towel. I am delighted with the speed of germination, especially after my first experience with 3 Sensi Seeds. The seed was packaged almost 2 years ago based on the date on the package. We're getting started! Thank you for attention🙏 Update: Just took some macro photos that I hope you enjoy.

31.01 The plant stretched from 1 to 7 cm in 2 days due to lack of light. (The lapm was on 50 cm) After I lowered the lamp to 20 cm, and the plan feels great. It stretched only 1 cm, and the leaves began to grow. For now I only use 50 watt of main light and 2x40w incandescent lamps as far red - infra red enhancer (10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes in the evening). 5.02 There were problems with the leaves due to the fact that I added mycorrhiza from an unknown manufacturer and it contained long-soluble fertilizers. After watering, I measured the drainage and saw 800 ppm and 6.5 pH. After washing with a lot of water, the plant feels good. I also expanded the pot, due to the fact that the plant stretched out a lot. Thank you for attention🙏 Peace🙌

Hello growdiaries community! Look, isn't the plant developing too slowly? I have had problems with fertilizer overdose (my guess) due to an unknown mycorrhiza, but now I have it under control.

shifting ph or other factors that can cause a fluctuating growth rate can cause waviness in leaves or contortion. Early leaves often do funky things on their own, too. Since your newer 3-fingered leaves look fine in this regard, i woud not worry. The 3-fingers aren't always blemish-free, either. Assumes all other factors 'good enough.' growth rates are relative... soil grows tend to be on the slower side of spectrum. The first couple weeks are boring but will double in size as a faster rate over time. Think of how much plants grow after going into flower phase.. 2-3x larger.. that's nothing more than continuing previous vege growth for 3+ weeks before abating. it's not "caused" by the flip. Cessation of vege growth (stems elongation + leaf growth) is caused by the flip to flower for photoperiods. in soilless i'd expect that in 7-8 days from sprout... just a guess. You got a little more stretch than i go for, but looks like you adjusted by the time it mattered - the internode at top.. a little stretch between cotyledons and single-finger leaf is no big deal. use those resulting internode lengths as a guide for light intensity.

FUCKING NONAME MYCORRHIZA! As I wrote before, I added mycorrhiza to the coco coir from a local store. It turned out that there is slow release fertilizers in it. But this was not indicated on the packaging. 6/02 In the evening, I decided to water the plant with a concentration of 450ppm and pH 5.8. From the drainage I got 700ppm and pH 6.7. I did not flush, as I was very tired, and I watered the plants at the end of daylight. But on 7/02 in the morning, I still decided to do the flushing. Poured 1.5 liters of solution of 450ppm and 5.8 pH in 7 approaches until I reached 460ppm. But pH still remained 6.6. I don't know how it will affect the further development of the plant, but I don't see any other options yet. I washed the coco coir with a lot of water before use and then soaked it in water with fertilizers and leveled pH 6.0, so this is definitely not the problem. Update: After researching the issue of pH, everything became clear to me. For coco coir, it is important to adjust the pH of the watering mix, and the pH of the drain is doesn't matter. Only the ppm level is important. There is an interesting article about it on CocoForCannabis. The plant reacted perfectly to today's (7/02) flushing. I want to note that I did not flush with clean water, but with a mixture for watering 450ppm. Now the leaves have risen up and the slight yellowing in the middle has completely disappeared. INTERESTING FACT: you can get a deficit due to high humidity. It also works in reverse. In short, at high humidity, you need to make the mixture more concentrated, because the pressure between the steam in the leaf and the air is lower, accordingly, less water with nutrients reaches it from the roots. Thank you for attention🙏 Peace🙌

This week was supposed to start on 13/02 from when I planned the transplanting, but... 12/02. We moved to a new pot. Problems with erratic pH in a small pot were causing problems, so I decided not to delay. But when transplanting, I saw that the roots were quite well developed. Lots of fluffy roots. The coco from bricks was washed very well and soaked in the solution for 20 hours. After transplanting, I got a small problem because I was afraid to overwater the plant. But I noticed in time and gave her a drink. The plant grows very quickly, but stretches more than desired, even though the lamp is quite close. My box is quite limited in height. These are probably the properties of the strain. But maybe it's because of my incandescent lamps, which act as far red and infrared, 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes before bed. I have never seen anyone use them, so I decided to try them as an experiment :)) But actually there is nothing to compare with :( I am currently looking for a solution to the canopy formation. Topping? Main-Lining? Supercropping? 17/02. The plant is still stretching upwards, not even paying attention to the fact that I am pressing it with light. The leaves are already starting to burn a little, and it is still stretching. Of course, I have to raise the lamp by centimeters so as not to stress it with burnt leaves. Maybe it's a phenotype, or maybe it's my incandescent lamps that turn on for 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes in the evening, providing far and infrared spectrum. Still, it has reached the maximum height for my box (if we calculate that it will stretch twice as much during flowering). I think I will start training soon. 17/02 I decided to top her. It turned out not to be as scary as it seemed :) Thank you for attention🙏 Peace🙌

Last week I decided to top her because she kept pulling up. And the next day, I stretched the branches to the sides and bent the main branch using HST. This is my first time, so don't judge too harshly :) She quickly recovered from the stress and continues to gain. 22/02. I accidentally broke a lower branch when draining the runoff. 23/02. I broke another lower branch when I started kneading it for training. It broke as if it were made of thin glass. Unfortunately, none of them survived :( Although the bush has now taken a flat shape. 25/02. We continue to grow, new branches, new leaves. Thanks bro @bioaccessory for the advice on training - bend the branches only after 24 hours before and after watering. 26/02. Last day of this week. I cut off one branch and several overlapping leaves. I think a few more days and I will switch to the 12/12 hours mode. Thank you for attention🙏 Peace🙌

This week we started 12/12 cycle. I decided to do this because of the limited height of the box. Now I am focusing on the fact that it will stretch out in 2X. If she becomes taller, it will be a problem for me and her. Fertilizers: Throughout the vegetation cycle, I added silica to each watering. Now I will alternate 1 watering with silica and another without. I also increased the dosage of plagron "B" to increase the concentration of phosphorus and magnesium. There is a lot of calcium in my water, so there shouldn't be a deficiency. Thank you for attention🙏 Peace🙌

Hello! The week began with the fact that she stretched in 3x and I finally saw the first signs of flowering. As I read, everyone says that after the transfer to 12/12, the plant stretches in 2x. The total height of my box is 1m, of which a 20cm pot, a 10cm lamp and a 60cm plant. Not critical yet, but that's not all. Therefore, supercropping of the longest stems was done on 14.03. I woke up one morning to find her touching the lamp, so some of the leaves were electrocuted. I turned off the light bulbs last week because I was afraid it would stretch too much. And I was also in for an unpleasant surprise. The girl turned out to be a hermaphrodite. I tried to peel all the bananas. Thank you for attention🙏 Peace🙌

This week, the blooming began. The lamp is raised to a critical height, there is less and less space left. On 25/03, another supercropping was done with a height of 75 cm (above the lamp). Also picked all the bananas again. Also, the elements of my lamp started to burn and I decided to add 2 household lamps. By the end of the week I have about 100 watts left of the 120 planned. Thank you for attention🙏 Peace🙌

Finally, at 78cm tall (which is 8cm taller than the lamp) it stopped growing upwards and the buds continued to get thicker. Sativa genes speak for themselves. For some reason, I did not count on such a height when I chose the strain. Specially turned on 12/12 back in the 4th week. Therefore, I did not remove the diffuser from some lamps so that the buds above the lamps receive light. My homemade lamp kept burning out, so I decided to make a new one next week. Thank you for attention🙏 Peace🙌

I started flashing this week. The buds have already gained their mass, trichomes are 90% milky, even a little amber on the upper buds. I decided to give her one more week for flushing and that's it... Harvest is just around the corner. I flush with distilled water and citric acid. Thank you for attention🙏 Peace🙌

Hi guys! Decided to finish my diary (Pineapple Express), which I should have finished a little earlier. The question is as follows. I decided to flush with distilled water and citric acid. Is this ok or not a very good idea? Thanks!

Flushing is mostly a myth and distilled water is aggressive as fuck and could burn the roots. Almost any acid can be used as a PH down. citric is not outside of the realms of common acids used. I think GH PH down has a mix of citric and phosphoric. Flushing is just not needed, it does not do most of what people claim it does, like removing chemical taste from buds, it's just not how plants work.. It is however a useful tool to combat toxicity of the medium should you have accidentally overfed it to much. In short feed less and then just water as needed end of life vs dumping copious amount of water though the pot. Agree with others, distilled/RO is just wasted money and not needed. Good Luck!

The time has come for the harvest. The plant was cut on May 7 and finally dried on May 18 (12 days). During this time, I had to go through many difficulties, trials and errors. Since this is my first experience, I cannot accurately evaluate everything, but now I will write down everything that I encountered during grow. It all started well enough, the seed germinated and was planted in coco. Unfortunately, I added mycorrhiza, which contained fertilizers, and it began to affect the PH, which caused the leaves to twist. But after transferring to a 15-liter pot, everything became ok. Next, I thought about the training method and bro @bioaccessory and bro @PersonalSmok3s gave me very useful advice on topping and mainlining, for which I am very grateful. Next I broke a branch, later another. Bro @bioaccessory advised me not to bend the branches after watering, but to wait at least 24 hours after, then everything fell into place. It was time to switch to 12/12 and this is where the problems started. It grew and stretched with incredible speed. I tried to press her with the light, holding the lamp at a distance of 10 cm, but she did not obey. One morning I woke up to find that the branches were leaning right into the lamp, which stressed the plant and me along with it. The leaves were damaged by the current, but everything healed. She continued to grow and the result was that she grew taller than the lamp. It was very difficult to manage, because we had to do supercropping several times and constantly stretch the branches with rubber bands, but we managed. Then my DIY lamp started to burn out and I had to look for an alternative. I chose household LED lamps because of their price and efficiency relative to it. It is the best on the market. I forgot to say about incandescent lamps, as a source of far red. I am very happy with the result, although I had to turn them off when the wild growth started. Well, then stop the stretching and weight gain of the buds. I decided to dry a whole bush, dividing it only into 4 parts for convenience. I did a dry trim. Then I put everything in glass jars and put them in a dark place with a hygrometer inside. It initially read 57%, which indicated I dried them out a bit, but when I opened the cans, I put more humid air in there and now the humidity is 63%, which is almost perfect. Already after 1 month, the smell became unsurpassed, I recommend everyone to try this strain. Thank you all for your attention, bro's for help and all guests of the report. Peace🙌
