I put the seeds in a trivet filled with water and left them in complete darkness.
Day 2 / Jan 28:
I didn't have the soil ready when the first 2 seeds germinated today so I just left them in the water longer than necessary with the other 3 which germinated about 2 days later.
Day 4 / Jan 30:
Taproots have grown on all 5 seeds.
I only put them a few mm deep into the soil. I know that most recommend at least 1cm but I wanted to try it this way.

strassenapotheker I started adding fertilizier this week and got the humidity and pH inside the desired range. I don't know why the leaves are still a little pale nevertheless. I'm not sure if it could be a small amount of light stress? In any case, I've decreased the DLI from around 25 to 20 for next week.
