Maintaining the correct humidity level is crucial for healthy cannabis growth, especially during the different stages of its life cycle. For 2-week-old plants, which are in the vegetative stage, a 70% humidity level is generally on the higher end but can be appropriate, especially for young seedlings. Here's a guideline for humidity levels throughout the growth stages: ### Cannabis Humidity Guide 1. **Seedling Stage (0-2 weeks):** - **Ideal Humidity:** 65-70% - **Note:** High humidity helps seedlings take in water through leaves since their root system is underdeveloped. 2. **Vegetative Stage (2-8 weeks):** - **Ideal Humidity:** 40-70% - **Adjustment:** Gradually decrease the humidity from 70% as they get older. By the end of the vegetative stage, aim for around 40-50%. - **Why Lower Humidity?** Lower humidity levels encourage stronger root growth and reduce the risk of mold and pests. 3. **Flowering Stage:** - **Ideal Humidity:** 40-50% at the beginning, decreasing to 30-40% towards the end. - **Important:** Lower humidity is crucial in the flowering stage to prevent mold and bud rot, especially as the buds become denser. 4. **Late Flowering/Pre-Harvest (last 1-2 weeks):** - **Ideal Humidity:** 30-40% - **Purpose:** Helps in trichome development and reduces mold risk. ### Managing Humidity - **Dehumidifiers:** Useful for lowering humidity, especially in the flowering stage. - **Humidifiers:** If the air is too dry, especially in the seedling and early vegetative stages. - **Air Circulation:** Use fans to improve air circulation, which helps maintain even humidity and temperature. - **Ventilation:** Ensure good ventilation in your growing area. An exhaust system helps to remove humid air. - **Monitor Regularly:** Use a hygrometer to keep a constant eye on humidity levels. ### Additional Tips - **Watch Your Plants:** Look for signs of distress. If your plants are thriving at a certain humidity level, it might be okay even if it's slightly outside the recommended range. - **Gradual Changes:** When changing humidity levels, do it gradually. Sudden changes can stress plants. - **Environmental Control:** Remember that room temperature can also affect humidity, so keep an eye on both. Adjusting the humidity as your plants grow is important for their health and yield. Always consider the specific needs of your strain, as some may prefer slightly different conditions :-)

I was concerned about adding new clones to my other plants that are almost 4 weeks old ... Will they catch up ??? ....And do I keep the new ones separated from the others until they get bigger or do I just put em in with the rest ???

No, they will not "catch up", they will always be 4 weeks behind.

Was wondering if I need to set the lights from 24 to 18hrs.??? Right now I have em on 24 and they r doin great. Can I leave em on 24 or should I set em at 18-6 hrs or 20-4 hrs..???

There is nothing stopping you from running them at 24/0 I'm not a fan of it and think along the same lines as others saying plants need rest, 18/6 is my ideal. plants do things in that down time, its not like they shutdown and power back up in the light. Also waste less hydro, 24/0 is a long time and will lower yours lights life before it starts to fade.

I just added 3 more clones the purple punch is a replacement for the one that didn't make it... And I added a new strain gorilla pie 2 of those they are goin to be a few weeks behind the others .. So now I have to wait a couple more weeks before I can turn em to flower ..and set lights at 12-12 ... The other strains are doin awesome still growing 1 to 2"every day ..right now I have the lights on 24/7 I'll wait until the new clones recover from the transplant I topped and lollipoped the 5 plants I had already had goin . And they have been getting nutrients for almost 2weeks now... every other watering...

How old should the plants or how big should the plants be before you turn em to flower ???... And what is the best method to use to get em to flower???...

Hashyanswered grow question a year ago
Your plants will stretch when in flower, they could stretch to double or more in height when flowering. So that should dictate when you need to induce flowering. If your veg plants are 40cm tall when you switch to flower they could grow to 80cm plus when flowering, make sure you flip to flower when your plant hits a height you can cope with after the stretch. To get them into flower is easy, change light schedule to 12/12, and leave it like that for remainder of the grow.

The 5 plants are ready to turn but still waiting on the new clones to get big enough to turn em maybe 1 or 2 more weeks.... Might just take em out so I can go ahead and turn the others to flower.....cause at the rate they are growing they might get too big by the time the little ones are ready...... I'm watering them everyday with a automatic watering system every 24hrs it runs for 5mins.... I have 2-600 watt led lights on full now about 24inches from em..... I put a C02 generator above the plants ..... Heater is keeping the temp. At 75°f..... Humidifier is keeping the humidity at 65% 4inch intake running all the time to bring in fresh air... 6inch exhaust to clear out the old air....

7 weeks in now they r doing great still growing about 1to3 in. A day nice dark green color. Noticed that 2plants had 3 or 4 leafs burnt on the tips So I'm giving them to much juice... Im goin to give em just water at 6.0 ph for the next 2 waterings an then cut em back to juicing them every 3rd watering should solve my prob. The leafs are the biggest leafs I have ever seen they are huge ... I cut some of them off because they were blocking the light to the rest of the plant..... I trimmed up some leafs that r blocking the light .... I'm using these clips I got that bend the branches down so they grow horizontaly . They seem to be working pretty good and it beats the mess of strings I had goin everywhere like a spiderweb . It is a lot neater. And I can move the plants around not being tied down ...... Using: 2 1000 full spectrum lights on 100 %about 30 in.above the plants.... Temp: 75° f Humidifier: at 65 % C02 gen. I topped them all for the second time ...all but the z cubed are pretty thick vegetation. Z cubed is growing long and not much vegetation . .......................................................................................... The younglings : Gorilla pie are growing good about an in. Or so everyday still hand feeding em .I topped them by cutting em between the 4th and 5th noad.tgey are growing tall not much veg . Purple punch: is doing extremely good.filling in real good topped it by cutting off between 4th an 5th noad and pinched off the other tops ...... Feeding with the watering system now .... Growing fast about 2to 3 in. A day now and getting thick.....

8weeks in now Im goin to give em one more week before I turn em to flower that will be 9 weeks for the older ones and 4 weeks for the younglings... So far everything is going great they are still growing1to 3 in . A day nice green color no more problems with the tips turning brown I upped the nutrients to 20 ml per 5 gal . Everything else is pretty much the same..... I removed all the clips from the plants letting them get a little stretch.....I still have plenty of room for them to grow with this new tent even if they double in size. When I flower em they still have 4to5 feet to grow ....

9 weeks into it now Turned the lights off for 36 hrs to make sure that they turn .... I have em on 12 / 12 now It's been 36 hrs now since I turned the lights back on to 12/12 I have them set to go off at 10 :00 pm and go back on at 10:00 am ...... I'm still giving them 6 mins of water and nut. Everyday.... Changed over to big bloom from fox farms no more grow ... Still giving them fox farms food .... Lights are 2/1000 w on full full spectrum.....have them 24 inches frim plants ..... Temp at 75 °f..... Changed the humidifier to 50% humidity.... Lights on 12/12 10:00 pm off 10:00 am on..... Haven't noticed any change as far as budding yet ..... Still growing great about an inch to three inches daily.... Younglings are now 5 weeks old I have turned em with the rest notice a lot of new sprouts everywhere..... Growing real fast now the leafs are huge like the rest of em were.... So if everything goes well like it has so far in the veg stage ...in the flowering stage it will be a good crop .... Had some problems in the early stages but thanx to the advice I was getting from the clone conservatory really helped an now they are growing great about to bud soon ......

Took out the humidifier cause the out side humidity is at 45 right now and that's where î have em set at.... Keeping temp at 75°f..... The younglings are really growing fast they are taller than the others and the purple punch is almost as full as the 10 week old one is...... I moved the lights up about 24 in. Cause they were growing to about 6 inches away...... They are budding real good now you can really see em busting out everywhere looks great they are small right now but there is a lot of em..... ppm or ec goes up or down according to the nutrient strength within your medium to raise it you have to increase the nutrient content HOWEVER looking at your plants they seem to be a nice even green in colour so increasing the strength could actually inhibit growth Now they are flowering you should stick to those bloom products you are using but also consider getting a cal/mag and iron supplement to add weekly . kelp products increase root volume which inturn will increase yield so it may also benefit your grow

Week 11 A lot has changed this week : First off I got my fox farm dirty dozen nutrients It has everything you need for da plants to thrive I started em this week on the feeding schedule that Comes with the kit it's all above the nut.and how much I'm giving them we will see how it works out in a couple weeks..... Feeding em twice a week Flushed em with the sledgehammer to remove salt that has built up on em the bags were starting to turn White on da bottom...... Still growing like crazy I moved the lights 2 x1000 To about 18 inches above em cause they weren't Getting good light down on the bottom but it seems They are getting good light now. I clipped a few of the top leaves off that were blocking The light and I separated em some more I have plenty of room for them.... Humidity is at 45% Temp is at 75° 12x12 on the lights 10 pm off 10 am on Until next week .. ...

12 th week in now been flowering for 3weeks buds are looking great but I'm having trouble keeping the humidity down for some reason the humidity is 60 to 70% don't know why but I ordered a dehumidifier it should be here in a couple days but for now I put in a moisture absorber..... Other than that they are growing up real fast buds are about quarter size...... I'm feeding em every 3days just as the feeding schedule says to do ph is around 6 the ppm is up to 1100 to 1200 ...... The temp is set at 65 to 70° f cause of the high humidity Put the big fan in to circulate the air more in da tent.... Tricolmes are really starting to come out o the buds ... Trimmed off some of the big leafs on top so more light can get to da bottom of da plants .... Hopefully the high humidity won't hurt em until I get the dehumidifier in Everything else is the same ......... Until next week.........

There is nothing you can do that will magically change anything in the last few hours of a plants life that will turn it from ordinary bud into super bud. Ice water, extended darkness etc etc...it's all BS. The best thing you can do is to keep everything normal and do everything possible to avoid stressing your plant in any way, right before harvest and after weeks/months of careful cultivation. In 40 years of growing, I have tried just about every urban myth out there and they are all "ghetto science" that do nothing. Keep them healthy and stress free is the only way imo.
