Didn't plan on starting a journal for this plant but this clone is as remarkable as her mom. I took two clones from a CKS Black Indica that I also have a journal going for. I was working on my cloning technique and mods that I did to an old space bucket.
I removed the ufo LED and replaced it with 2 14watt 5000k cfl's.
9/28/18 Clones were cut, immediately into Dip n' Grow for 5 minutes, put into Rapid Rooters (no moisture added...this is key) and into 6 oz cups surrounded with barely moist soil. A 9 oz cup was misted and used as a dome.
10/12/18 Up potted today into what I think is a 2 gallon pot.
She will eventually get up potted again. Soil is Happy Frog and Perlite in a 3:1 mix. Prior to transplant I mixed soil with a bit of water to moisten. I should have waited about a week more for more root structure. Soil did not really come with the plant to the new pot. Watered around the perimeter of the leaves slowly to draw air then wet the edge of the pot. Drained on its side and into tent.
10/15/18 She took the transplanting very well and is putting out good sets of 5 fingered leaves. Still haven't watered at all.
I think I will try topping this plant as I didn't top the mom. She's a beast and I'm trying my hand at a mini scrog with her. I plan on flipping this plant along with the mom once the two autos are harvested.
10/26/18 Week 5 Day 1. Topped the plat at the 5th node. Am trying to clone the top as well. This clone is growing as aggressively as mom. I have another clone from the same mom, taken the same day and it is tiny. I cant figure what the variable is.
Anyway, a great strain from Crop King Seeds.
10/31/18. A perfect plant. Watering lightly and frequently with light nutes no slow down after topping.
11/2/18. She’s doing great and no problems to report. All my reading, studying and thinking way too much about mistakes and fixes I seem to have gotten a grasp of the basics. Extremely happy with the Fox Farm Happy Frog soil and have a good handle on their line of nutes. I’d love to try different strains with the soil.
11/5/18. She’s growing perfectly and really the only flaw is that’s the branches need to harden up before flip. Right now there is no way they would support significant bud weight.
11/13/16. The pot is quickly getting too small. Watered with light nutes per last weeks schEdule.
11/15/18. Been doing a lot of reading about old grows and kept reading about Pete’s, now called Jacks Classic. Figured she would be a good test subject to try out the above regimen. I will increase up to 1/2 tsp. If it proves comparable to Fox Farm I’m gonna be stoked since it’s $10 a pound. I’m adding the cal-mag & molasses to make up for and correct the common complaints of no calcium and needing sulphur.
