Germination 19th of January. All seeds germinated well with Black Domina being the weakest so far (as was the case with the last grow). Since I had another Seed of BD I just wanted to give her another chance.
So far the plants are looking good, except for being slightly too tall. From experience with growing under LED I'm however sure that it will grow "out" as usually the distances inbetween new side stems is quite small. All the seeds being indica strains will also support fixing that issue rather sooner than later.
Temperatures are a bit on the low side, partly due to the (high quality but) low power 50W LED light. This light will stay for another week until it gets replaced by the 300W Mars Hydro (not the pink strip club type light but a "proper" one :-) ). The 50W Sanlight will later have another appearance as it will support during the flowering phase.
Soil and containerwise I will do a bit of an experiment.
Right now all four are in a soil mix containing Sonnenerde (very high quality austrian soil), Batmix by Plagron and a very light soil for seedlings. Mixed in is primary rock powder, some cattle manure pellets, horn shavings, silica (for plants), and mycorhizza fungus for root growth.
The plan is to keep this super soil mixed into the new containers as well. Without the seedling soil and with a bit of worm castings and old/used coffee. I tried this mix in a slightly different form already indoor and outdoor and it proved to be plenty enough for not having to use fertilizer again (unless you want to). Usually i tend to give a bit of alga mix (plagron for bloom) towards the beginning of the flower phase, this time we will see if thats necessary..
Container:
1x Cream Caramel: After current 0,5l into a plastic 5l pot and after that into a 11L Gronest (fabric pot)
1x Cream Caramel: After 0,5l into a 9L Airpot
1x OG KUSH: AFTEr 0,5l into a 4L Airpot and after that into a 15L plastic container with a wick-system. I will install a fiberglass wick wired through the soil and hanging into the closed water container underneath. First time trying the wick system, although before i watered already by hand but from below.
1x Black Domina: After 0,5l into a 4L Gronest (Fabric)
Generally my plan is to leave them 1-2 weeks longer in vegetative growth in order to make more use of the large tent (with only four plants).
Im keen on seeing how this run develops and hope you all enjoy following the process ๐
Make sure to also check our other grow with 2 sativas (Super Lemon Haze)
We much appreciate any comments or advices or of course questions! ๐
