Today quite a lot of work but I am happy with the results.
I mixed a selfmade super soil and re-potted the plants into larger containers.
3 out of 4 plants are now in their final containers. Unlike i stated at the beginning of the grow, i have skipped a 5,8L pot for one Cream Caramel and directly potted her into the 11L Gronest. Honestly i just didnt want the hassle of repotting 2 plants later in the grow, so now Ill just have to do one plant 😅
So basically i'll never have to water again by hand. I bought black buckets (so no light can reach the water that causes organisms to grow within the water) , put holes at the top and filled them with water. Ive took a glassfibre wick which reaches the bottom of the bucket and goes in spirals into the earth until it nearly reaches the top of the earth.
That way the plant can work its magic and take as much water as it needs and wants. Also in this way its ensured the water gets spread evenly within the (super-) soil.
I am not planning on giving any fertilizer as it is not necessary, so there is only clear water in the buckets. The mulch cover on top of the soil is a special, progressed (no contamination) and biological mulch made of hay and cattle manure. It retains the water in the soil and also slowly gives nutrients into the soil.
I am very happy with the outcome and think the solution i used will work well 😊
Only downturn was that 2 out of 4 plants didnt have the roots as developed as i hoped, so it was quite difficult to not injure the roots....😐
PS: As you guys can see ive switched the lights, now 300W of LED shining bright on the ladies...
@Dolfom, thank you, yes thats what really makes this site interesting, I agree. Seeing a lot of experiments and trying to work the best working outcomes into your own projetcs :) hope the whole systems works out as expected, but it should, time will tell...
