The seed has just popped out from the jiffy and the little sprout already looks thirsty for light.
Planted in 10L smartpot with Biobizz Lightmix with added perlite.
First week under the light, she is doing really good and growing fast. Needed a little sustain. I had to put an automatic irrigation system for the next week because I will be out of town, I hope it will work.
In 10 days she grew so much and started to stretch. She seems to be very close to start flowering. I did a very light LST to make light penetrate deeper but I want to make her grow without too much interference. I also want to keep nutrients low
Gettin bigger and bigger everyday. She is doing very very well, with such a small effort. Started to use rain water, I don't even check pH. No need for more nutrients than this. We are at day 23
First signs of some kind of deficiency. Probably Ca since I've been using rain water. Or maybe pH fluctuations or too much wind.
I just watered with a calmag integrator, moved the fan and regulated pH on 6.5
The plant definitely started to stretch and flower. Smell is getting more intense
This week I had some troubles with my WCOG. Bigger leaves showed signs of different deficiencies and growth slowed down. Couldn't figure out what was going on so I decided to flush the roots just in case, before it was too late. I also changed the nutes because I had similar issues with previous grows. Now the plant looks much better and the problem seemed solved untill one of the lower branches broke at the base, barely touching it. It was not completely broken so I just tied it up hoping for a quick recovery.
Buds are definitely fatting up and they are starting to produce resin. Even though growth stopped she needs more and more watering and nutrients. Compared to the other auto I have she seems a little bit late but she is behaving really well overall
Flowers are growing good, trichomes everywhere. Little sign of nutes burn on some leaves but nothing worrying. I'm starting to have some space issue since I already planted the next cycle. In a couple of days I will make some room. As soos as I kill her room mate, I will try to open the branches a little bit. I think it will take at least two more weeks to finish.
Started to flush with distilled water. Probably due to cold temperatures here, leaves and flowers are getting a weird dark colour, between black and purple. I can't say if it's healthy or not but she is beautiful anyways. Flowers are literally everywhere, full of sticky trichomes, but buds are not as dense as I expected. Smell is very strong now and very nice.
Last week I went away for a while and I had to leave my babies alone. Temperatures dropped so also maturation slowed down. When I arrived home this is what I found! She got darker and colas got even bigger and more sticky. She smells like pine but the odor is not very strong. It is also a little bit cheesy and mouthwatering. My dog was really attracted and tried to eat some. She is amazing! Tomorrow I will upload some better photos I took with my reflex.
Beautiful plant! Lots of big sticky and shiny buds. Can't wait to taste it. Smell is not very strong and it's a little bit cheesy. I will update soon with dry weight, taste and high.
After drying UPDATE:
It tastes like earth, literally. No cheese flavor. But I love it! High is quite strong but it doesn't leave you sleepy and demotivated. It makes you talk a lot and feel euphoric.
This weed may become one of my favorites despite I usually don't like indicas too much.
37 grams of dry herbs filled two big jars.
Very happy with this plant
NEW UPDATE:
Yesterday I tried the weight scale I used to weight the buds and it was not calibrated at all and very inaccurate.
(more than 40% of error). Dry weight had to be at least 50 grams. Too bad I already smoked quite a lot to measure it again eheheh
We arrived at the end of the growth, finally. She looks amazing. Buds everywhere, very sticky and frosty. Not really smelly. It was a struggle to trim because of all the little leaves in the lower part of the plant, it took more than 2 hours. Growing it was easy and, even tho I had some minor problems along the way, she recovered just fine. I usually do LST but this time I decided to leave the plant to grow and I didn't regret it. One of the heaviest autoflowering producers I have ever seen, considering she grew in a 60x60 cm box along with other 3 plants, and only 250W of LED00
Happy new year my friend! Your grow is looking fantastic and healthy and I wish you best in this next year growing some amazing plants and yielding yourself large amounts of bud. Cheers!
@Surfettuccini, fastbuds, check out CheifAnnaWithThepot on instagram he posts it on his story at least everyday but I dont think it matters now as FastbudCA were shut down because of people reporting the photo of the repost of the guys plant on their page.
Wow... That's some nice looking plants.. I'm growing a west coast OG right now and it's really awesome.. much bigger than my one week older Northern light...
Some one told me it looks only days away, but after I've seen your WCOG I believe I still has a couple weeks left... Thank you for this diary
