Also I haven't used rockwool in around 30 years so x your fingers. Lol

2/7/2024 1x sweet seeds sweet Skunk fast version seed planted into cube
2/7/2024 1x Barney's farmMimosa x orange punch seed planted in cube
2/7/2024 thermometers placed in cubes and Vivosun thermostat set to 75f.
2/9/2024 both seeds germinated and broke surface in 2 days. No light added yet. Just a little bit more growth first.
2/10/2024 seeds were not put deep enough as the shell hardened before it was out of medium leaving the seedlings trapped inside. Carefully the seed shells were broken away. In my experience seeds that become trapped in a hardened shell tend to have a weak start
So germination period is considered over as you can see both seeds have clearly germinated and begun to break the surface. We will start the veg week as soon as they fully break surface.
2/11/24 plants are doing better than expected after having to remove the shells.
2/12/2024 plants are growing but first set of leaves are very small. But seeds were very tiny to begin with so we'll see. (Not to mention they were planted too shallow not allowing the shells to soften)
2/12/2024 Rh has been reduced to around 63. Temperature unchanged.
2/12/2024 added an AC Infinity manual 6" fan pointed directly onto the two plants. Fan has been put into cycle mode. Fan shakes plants for an hour then shuts off for an hour giving the plants an hour break.
2/13/2024 finally getting some leaf material.
2/13/2024 dropped the light. Tops now hit 19k lux and around 500 ppfd (can't remember exact ppfd but we were in a good range).
2/13/2024 cycling fan has been set to low (2) for off cycle just to keep a very light breeze going past the plants.
2/15/2024 rh has been lowered to around 58.
2/15/2024 cycling fan power has been reduced to pwr lvl 2 and no longer on a hour on off schedule but a constant on.
2/15/2024 Plants watered today using 10ml Grow big hydro & 15ml big bloom.

2/21/2024 white spots on rockwool covering is dried solution.
2/22/2024 ppfd is in mid 400's and lux 21-23k
2/22/2024 Pictures will start being labeled with strain. 12"x12"x3" (I may go 12"x6"x3") rockwool bases will be put into 24hr pH Adjustment soak tomorrow.
2/22/2024 Decided to just start the soak. Soaking for only 12 hrs at a pH of 5.6 with grow big hydro added.Went with 12"x8"x3" for bases.
2/23/2024 we had to do a minor adjust to the solution pH so we drained rockwool adjusted pH to 5.4 submerged and drained rockwool 2x times. Ph 5.6 after. At 12 hours we drained excess rockwool solution and tested final runoff at a pH of 5.6.

2/29/2024 plants are staying short and all lower nodes have decent branching started.
2/29/2024 RO pH was off the charts. But a few simple tweaks and a few gallons of ph'd solution and we're back good to go.
3/01/2024 ph fix helped, plants are back to taking off.
3/02/2024 topped and cloned both MxOP & SS. Roottech cloning solution used. (Pics still coming later)
3/02/2024 as you can see in latest pics the temp gauge is 77.1. luckily I caught it and lowered the heat. (Gauge now shows cloner res temp)
3/03/2024 took 2x more Mimosa x Orange Punch clones.
We will be changing over from 2x 240w boards to 1x 800w board on Monday and replacing the tent canopy. We will take pics.

2x 6"x6" rockwool cubes (for tops/moms of both strains)
4x 4"x4" rockwool cubes (2x for each strain)
6x rockwool plugs

03/17/2014 so we defoliated. We used twist ties to keep the branches from rising on the super cropped sweet skunk. Due to the fast growth and bulking the last pic of the day is the result. It's all good. Should heal to a big knuckle
The spirals you see is just branch growth that was happening between twist tie.
03/18/2024 One day after defoliating you can barely tell.
03/22/2024 not sure how I'm going to go about the grow at this point. The Mimosa x Orange Punch will be easy to train and I can see the possible stretch that will happen on flip. But the sweet skunk is beyond compact and I do not see it stretching much. (Just thinking of top to area ratio sorry) Tops and all other clones I took from the two strains are all rooted.Tops were put into 6x6x6" cubes. All others 4x4" cubes.
03/26/2024 partially defoliated both. The amount of tops opened visible now on the sweet skunk is beyond amazing.
03/30/2024 I will start taking pics of entire area to include the SS and MxOP clones.
03/30/2024 only 1/4 tsp of Open sesame is being used. For some reason it's showing as 1.25 in weekly description
04/02/2024 I haven't been testing the tap water ph for a while since it was persistently around 8+. Apparently pH dropped in the tap water so there was a little pH problem that slowed growth and spotted a few older fans.
04/08/2024 both sweet skunk and Mimosa x Orange Punch were defoliated. Sweet skunk and Mimosa x Orange Punch clones in back will be defoliated later. Sweet Skunk was annihilated and I leveled off the plant to open up to more tops. Plants were a little man handled but they will be all nice and pretty as they move into there positions throughout the day. The Mimosa x Orange Punch is just too large to tie down so it was just heavily defoliated.
We are flipping tomorrow.
04/09/20 flipped 12/12 will swap to flowering weeks when flowers appear.
04/10/2024 I'm no longer going to label what plants are every post. But will when focusing on a particular plant. The two strains are easy to tell apart skunks are all small and compact and Mimosa x Orange Punch is more stretchy.

I was wondering if any of you have any suggestions for a dehumidifier to put inside a 5x5 tent. The dehumidifier needs to have a turn on above ?% humidity and off below ?% humidity. Lighting needs to be able to be taped or turned off. WiFi app monitoring ability would be a +
OK.
So, with dehumidifiers in tents. Heres what you need to know.
Using a dehumidifier in a tent it would be a sealed tent right? So no regular in/out flow of air.
As if you've an intake or exhaust set up. You need to do the room your tent is in. As your drawing air from your room in to your tent and it'll bring the rooms RH in.
And the dehumidifier specs you wanting will cost you. 5-800$.

04/20/2024 did some lst work on the front Mimosa x Orange Punch in front left corner after pics. We'll see tomorrow.
04/22/2024 were going to consider today day 1 of flower. Tons of defoliation and lst is in the areas near future.
04/28/2024 So for around 48 hrs I battled heat & humidity. Outdoor temp spiked to around 80 for the last 3 days along with an avg rh of 80%. Dehumidifier lowered inside humidity but due to ambient temp + dehumidifier temp avg tent lights on was 77-80f and tent rh was hovering around 53-55. Exhaust and intake ran for 48+hrs continuous to keep plants in a safe yet unsafe zone.
1/4 of the plants were defoliated to help reduce humidity and open sites and airflow.
I added a 12,000 BTU air conditioner this morning. Rates at 550sq ft. Room tent is in is only 140 or so. Temps are now lowered and tent rh has destabilized at 49-51rh.
04/29/2024 We pulled all trays. Did a thorough flush and defoliated every plant except for the old mothers. Will post pics of area on lights on tonight. X'n fingers after the mass defoliation.

05/01/2024 figured people would want to see what the area really looks like. So dim light and camera flash.
05/05/2024 raising lights Tomorrow and raising lights to 100% output.

05/16/2024 pulled everything out of tent. GIGANTIC mistake lol. As each tray came out bam down came the plants due to the thick heavy buds. A lot of the older leaf material that suffered from my lack of paying attention was removed and everything slightly defoliated. The canopy definitely does not look the same but it's generally back to where it was. But wtf knows. There is ungodly amount of thick dense bud in there. But at this point all the plants are being supported by the plants around them..
