42 days from sprout and shes looking great! been topped at the 4th node and been training her to grow horizontal a bit to avoid running into height problems. at 6 weeks shes only 7inches tall and about ready to move to flowering mode!
First night in her new home about ready to start flowering. Trained and kept her short leaving plenty of room to grow her 8 main colas. Cant wait to see her buds.
6 days since going to 12/12 and doing some defoliation and shes looking great. This time I've been watering and feeding based on what my plant is telling me and the weight of the pot instead of watering everyday and so far I'm happy with the results. One thing I'm working on getting better control of is my temp and humidity. My 6 inch exhaust fan works well at keeping my HPS light cool, and with that I keep the temp just above the canopy around 80 degrees. But living in a house that heats with a wood stove it becomes very dry. The RH % is usually between 20-35 and goes up to the low 40's at night when the light is off and the temp is lower. I have a new humidifier coming in a day or two, hoping that will make a difference. Cant wait to see her buds!
Just about 3 weeks into flowering and shes looking great! keeping the height short has made a huge difference so far. Added a new humidifier giving me more control of my temps and RH.
Sorry for the lack of updates recently. Shes now just over 5 weeks into 12/12 and is living up to her name. Unfortunately she hermaphrodited a few weeks ago. I removed all the sacks I could but she definitely dropped some pollen. Buds still seem to be getting bigger so I'm going to see her through to the end and hope shes not completely loaded with seeds. I think what did it was either too much defoliation in one day or too big of a temperature difference between lights on and lights off. Since I use a wood stove for my main source of heat in my home the temps can sometimes get into the mid 50's at night with lights off depending on the outside temp. Next grow I'll have lights on at night time instead to avoid that possibility. Another learning experience.
