Runtz(Zamnesia) in scrog under cobheaven

The first week went by without any problems. I kept the temperature between 19 - 25°C (66.2 - 77°F) and humidity between 29 -68% Sometimes it's pretty dry in the Mars tent so I spray the seedlings with ph adjusted tapwater (ph 6.2) twice a day. Not much changed during week 2. The Runtz seedlings are doing good under the same conditions as the first week. The grow light is a dimmable COB CXB3590 3500K 200WATT. It's dimmed at 110 watt at 75 cm (29 inches) Looks like it's going to be 3 hybrids and 1 with more indica in it's genes. That's the smallest one with rounder leaves. On day 18 i've repotted the seedlings into there final 14 liters airpots. The soil was pre watered with ph adjusted tapwater (ph 6.0) EC levels were a bit too high, but still in range. I've got to keep in mind that soil is fertilized allready. On the same day I also added the second grow light into the tent. That's another dimmable COB CXB3590 200 watt. So i've got 400 watt power to use. That's way too much in this stage so for this week the grow lights are dimmed at 180 watt at 89 cm height. Week 4 of 18/6 and the Runtz are doing great. Day 24 I've topped 3 out of 4 and the next day the smallest one too. Just going to top them once. The screen for the scrOG was also installed, got 92 rectangles to fill. I've placed it at 17cm (about 7 inches) above the edges of the airpots so I've got enough space for watering all around the plants. The grow lights are lowered again. This will be the last week of 18/6. I've got to count 2 - 3 weeks of stretching at 12/12 and the surface of the screen ain't that huge. I've did some defoiling, not much...just some top leaves and some under the screen. My watering and feeding strategy is that I start with little doses, less then prescribed by Canna. The soil is fresh so there are already nutrients available. I don't water the Runtz everyday, but every other day. This week that was about 1 liter every other day. And it got a bit brighter this week. The grow lights are lowered to 70 cm (27 inches) at 224 watt. Hello fellow growers! ✋ The first week of 12/12 cycle is a fact. I predict about 70 days of flowering. On the last day of this week I spotted the first pre-flowers.😶 I've started scrogging and the screen is filling up nicely. This strain is pretty easy for a scrog. The shoots are easy to bend. Furthermore, I've did some more defoiling on top and pruning under the screen. The temperature stayed between 19,7°C (67°F) – 24,6°C (76°F) and humidity between 39 – 53 % I have placed 3 new sensors in the growtent. The old ones showed wrong humidity levels. I was wondering why humidity levels were always too low, now I know why. 😃 I started the week with the grow lights at 78 cm (31 inches) and 230 watt and lowered them to 71 cm (28 inches) and 236 watt at the end of the week. The Runtz got 1200ml every other day. Twice it was tapwater with Canna nutrients (Ec 1,3 – ph 6,3) and twice pure tapwater (Ec 0,5 – ph 6,3). As a precaution, I've sprayed them once this week with CannaCure. This is a leaf nutrient that prevents and controls plant pests and mildew. That's about it for this week. The 2nd week of 12/12 cycle went smooth. 😌 The screen is almost filled up and I saw pre-flowers on all 4 Runtz. A few larger fanleaves that blocked light for lower shoots were removed. But i've spotted some fungus gnats 😐, so I've placed a few of those yellow sticky things between the plants. That was today, so tommorow I'll check if I've caught a few. Temperatures fluctuated between 17°C (62.6°F) and 23.8°C (74.8 °F). Humidity stayed between 39 – 68%. The high humidity maxima is because I still spray them once in a while. The normal levels are between 40 - 50%. It also got a little bit brighter in the growroom. 😎 The cobs went from 71cm (28 inches) and 236 watt to 70cm (27,5 inches) and 244 watt. This week I gave them fed tap water once on day 11 of the 12/12 cycle (ph 6,38 – ec 1,39). The rest of the week was pure tap water (ph 6,37 – ec 0,5). And I gave them their second CannaCurespray shower. (50ml/250ml) Just a few more days and I can start counting the actual flowering days.😀 That was the second week 12/12 in a nutshell. The 3th week of 12/12 is history and flowering has entered the grow room. 😋 I marked day 53 (day 17 of 12/12) as the first day of actual flowering. Everyday I've checked if there were fungus gnats trapped on the yellow sticky traps and I've spotted a few. So not a total infestation. I've also checked for signs of hermies and I haven't seen any. I've had one a few years ago and it pretty much ruined the whole grow. Seeds everywhere. But that was another breeder and strain. Under the screen I did some final pruning and above a minor defoilation. The Runtz are stretching nicely and the screen is filled pretty much like I wanted it to. Gonna leave them alone now, done with bending those shoots under the screen. This weeks temperatures stayed between 20,6°C (69°F) and 24,2 °C (75,5°F) and humidity levels between 44 – 56 % Light pressure was raised from 244 watt at 70cm (27 inch) to 260 watt at 63cm (25 inch). Their diet consisted of ph adjusted tapwater (ph 6,38 – ec 0,49) most of the week. They were barely fed for 1 day. Gonna keep it that way as long as I don't see any signals of shortages or surpluses. Naturally, ec leves will rise next week but one day of feeding seems enough for now. Smell is coming in slightly, but the CAN-lite carbon filter is doing it's job. There's a 600m³ one hanging in the grow room connected to a 550m³ Airfan foam softbox that's dimmed at 40% since the start of this grow. That was the most important info for this week. The 4th week of 12/12 went without any issues. Flowering is going on nicely and lots of white pistels are filling up the canopy. They still grew a little but the biggest stretch is over. This week the Runtz were fed once (ph 6,4 – ec 1,63) and on other days I gave ph adjusted tapwater (ph 6,4 – ec 0,5) or nothing if the airpots were still moist enough. Next week I'll start giving them some pk 13/14 for extra phosphorus and potassium and Remo nutrients Magnifical for some more calcium & magnesium. I've noticed that the left and right Runtz have a bit less green in their leafs and I think overwatering is the issue. Gonna give these ones less water and I'll see what the Magnifical will do. Temperatures stayed between 19 – 24 °C ( 66 – 75 °F) and humidity between 46 – 59 % I've raised the power of the airfan from 40% to 55% to lower humidity levels and next week a dehumidifier will enter the grow tent to lower levels even more. Week 5 of 12/12 already and the buds are slowly getting their shape. 😊 The growth of the Runtz has stopped halfway the week. Trichomes are coming in and they begin to smell harder. Ec levels were raised and now I'm feeding them every 4 days instead of every 6 days. The grow lights got lowered once again. The week started with 296 watt at 55cm (21,5 inch) and ended with 304 watt at 52cm (20,5 inch) Temperatures stayed between 19,5 – 24,7 °C ( 67 – 76 °F) and humidity between 43 – 57 % A small dehumidifier has entered the grow room and the power of the airfan is raised to 65% I did some minor defoliation for a better airflow and better light penetration for lower buds. Hello growers of the green flowers! ✋ Week 6 of 12/12 flowering cycle went smooth. Buds are getting larger in size, smell is getting stronger every day.😋 My feeding/watering shedule is simple. Day 1: feeding Day 2: dry Day 3: only ph adjusted water Day 4: dry Day 5: feeding Day 6: dry Day 7: only ph adjusted water … The Runtz were fed twice this week (ec 1,98 – ph 6,4) and once they got ph adjusted tapwater (ec 0,5 – ph 6,4). 4 days were dry. Temperatures stayed between 19 – 24,4 °C (66 – 76 °F) and humidity levels between 33 – 46 % I manage to keep the humidity levels low with the help of the dehumidifier and two clipfans that are blowing day and night for better airflow and ventilation. This is to prevent budrot and mildew. Photonic pressure got a bit higher. This week started with the cobs at 52cm(24,5 inch) and 304 watt and ended at 50cm(19,7 inch) with 320 watt power. Week number 7 of the Runtz in their 12/12 cycle and 5 weeks of flowering have past. The buds are fattening up but more leafs are getting less green. Could be nitrogen deficiency or maybe the ph levels were to high. But it's most visible on the left side of the tent and all the plants are getting the same amount of nutrients. I'm hoping it will not go to fast as i'm still 3 – 4 weeks away from harvest. 😐 On the good side I don't see any budrot or mildew and the fungus gnats are pretty much under control. There were'nt many in the first place. The Runtz were fed twice this week (ec 2,09 – ph 6,35) 3 days were dry and I've given them ph adjusted tapwater (ec 0,5 – ph 6,35) also twice. EC levels will be lowered next week as I see some leaftips are burned. And pk 13/14 was also given for the last time this round. Temperatures stayed between 18,9 – 25,1 °C (66 – 77°F) and humidity levels between 39 – 57 % The Airfan is working at 100% most of the time and when it gets too hot I open the right ventilation flap of the Mars Hydro tent. The one on the back is open 24/7, the right one I close when the lights go off. The left one is closed all the time. The grow lights were lowered for the last time. They're now at a distance of 48cm (19 inch) from the plants and are shining with 324 watt power. This will be the highest power for this grow. Thats about what happened this week. Week 8 after the switch and the Runtz had about 6 weeks of flowering. The buds are gaining weight, more pistels have become orange/light brown and smell is clearly noticable. They're still absorbing the same amount of water as last week, but ec levels were lowered to 1.6. I gave them nutrients once this week, 2 days ph adjusted water (ec 0,5 – ph 6,2) and 4 days were dry. Magnifical was given for the last time this round. Temperatures fluctuated between 18.8 – 26 °C (65.8 – 78.8 °F) and humidity between 37 – 59 % It got a bit too warm in the grow room, spring kicked in this week with outside temperatures of 24°C (75°F) The grow lights stayed at the same height & watt as last week wich was 48cm (19 inch) & 324 watt. Next week the photonic pressure will be reduced slightly. The Runtz must start to feel that autumn and winter are on their way. 🍂 It will also be the last week of feeding. Nine weeks since the switch and the Runtz have had 7 weeks of actual flowering. I've noticed more trichomes were produced, wich I checked and most of them were still clear, maybe 10-20% was getting milky and very few were amber. I want to see way more amber before harvest, so +/- 70 days of 12/12 will be needed. This week was the last time I gave them nutrients. That was on the first day. The rest of the week I gave them ph adjusted tapwater every other day. (ec 0.5 – ph 6.24) Next week I'll start flushing with ec levels of 0.3 For that I will use a mix of tap water and demineralized water. 3 liters(0.8 gallon) tapwater and 2 liters (0.5 gallon) of demineralized water gives a 0.3 ec level. The distance between the cobs and the plants got a bit higher, from 48cm(19inch) to 55cm (21.5 inch) and the power of the cobs was reduced to 300watt. This was the last week for the Runtz. The buds have reached their final stage and trichomes looked ready by the end of the week. In total it took 110 days from seed to harvest. 4 days of germination, 36 days of growing in a 18/6 lightshedule and 70 days in a 12/12 lightshedule. I've counted about 8 weeks of actual flowering. This week was a flushweek with ec levels of 0,3. I've added CannaFlush to one batch of demineralized water and tapwater, the rest of the week was a just a mix of demineralized water and tapwater every other day. The last 2 days where dry. I've counted 13 days without nutrients, so that must be enough. Temperatures got a bit colder, but not too cold. It's good to let the plants feel that winter is coming, but beware of molds. For that, the ventilation in the growtent is always at max the last 3-4 weeks of flowering. So temperatures stayed between 17 – 21 °C (63 – 70°F) and humidity levels between 29 – 43 % I have to say that the Airfan Foambox did an excellent job. Both in power and silence, exactly what i needed for this sized tent. This fan in combination with the Can-Lite filter was amazing. No smell at all during flowering in the room where the tent stood or anywhere else in the house. The first day of the week the distance between the cobs and plants got higher for the last time and the power was lowered once again.They went from 55cm (21.6 inch) to 60cm (23,6 inch) and from 300 to 280 watt. On the fifth day they received their last hours of light, day 6 was completely dark and on day 7 it was time to harvest. Pictures of this will be added to the final harvest update within 10 days or so. I guess by then everything will be dry enough to start curing and I'll know the weight of buds these beauties gave me. After 70 days into 12/12 it was time for the Runtz. The buds dried for about a week at temperatures between 18 – 20°C (64 – 68°F) for the first 2 days. The rest of the week was between 17 – 19°C (62 – 66 °F) Humidity stayed between 45 – 55 % The final weight was 280 grams (9.9 oz) and the average wattage for the entire flowering cycle was 285watt.
