I've waited a long time for Sensi Seeds to start their U.S. operation, so I'm excited to see how these turn out. It's been almost 30 years since I last used their genetics. For this grow I went with an old classic in Hindu Kush (I love sedating indicas), and a more contemporary strain- the Sticky Orange XXL. Starting them under the 20 watt LED light to get them established before moving them outside. This worked pretty well last year. Will be growing them in Ocean Forest soil with a mixture of different Fox Farm liquid nutrients again. Happy Growing!!

They emerged from the soil after 24 hours under the light. Coming along nicely so far. I'm going to give them a few more days under the light before moving them outside. There's a predator out there that decimated my pepper plants and I need to eliminate it first.

After two weeks under the light I think they are ready for the world. The forecast is about perfect for the foreseeable future. Just keeping my fingers crossed that the predators don't get ahold of them

Not much growth going on this week. We had a couple rainy/cloudy days. Applied some microbe brew to try and boost the soil a bit. I may have planted them a few weeks early but we'll see how they turn out.

Another week of cooler temps, clouds, and rain here in the desert. Hoping they can get some sun this week and grow a bit before they start flowering in another week or two. I've already started germinating seeds for another run. I'll chalk this up to a learning experience.

They clearly needed to get more sun than they did these past few weeks. The Hindu Kush seems to be growing a little bit better than the Sticky Orange. Sticky has started to develop pre flower and the top so it doesn't look like I'm going to get much out of this run. Fed them a little bit of seaweed extract this week.

It's raining again here in the desert and the temperature is about 30 degrees below average for this time of year. It's been a weird spring this year but the plants are still hanging in there. Flowers are starting to form at all the nodes even though they are really small. I'll be planting another Hindu Kush today

The flowers started developing this week. I did a light feeding with some Big Bloom this week to give them a nudge and will probably do weekly feeding for the next couple of weeks. They are healthy and starting to smell, just not very big.

Flowers are starting to fill out and starting to get some resin. Especially the sticky orange which has a really interesting sweet and pungent smell to her. As small as she is you can smell her from 20 feet away.

Sticky Orange has some really nice resin production going on. The smell is amazing and I would best describe it as sour/orange bubblegum. The Hindu Kush is not as crystally, but the buds are really starting to plump out. She's giving off a really earthy kind of spicy aroma. I'm very pleased with how they are coming along and targeting May 11th for chopping, so maybe 3 more weeks.

Not much change this week. They are definitely looking like they're close to the finish line now. Trichomes on the Hindu Kush are starting to turn (~20%) so the chop watch is on for her. Sticky Orange looks like she may take a little longer to finish, but I guess that's to be expected considering the genetics.

She got chopped today. I don't think there would have been much left for her to do, the buds look really nice and resiny and smell fantastic- sweet/skunky/spicy.

Gave them the chop today. Mostly because I picked several little caterpillars off the Sticky Orange. I almost cut this plant down over the weekend, but didn't think a few more days would hurt. The harvest was small this time but my house smells amazing now.

I think this plant could have gone a bit longer but I picked several little caterpillars off her today and was also worried about her getting heat stressed. She's nice and frosty and smells amazing.

She started getting attacked by little caterpillars so I decided to chop today. Also started developing a bunch of new white hairs so I don't know if it was heat-related or what. Got to the point where I wondered what, if any, benefit there would be to letting her go another 3-10 more days.

Nice diary and photos. As for your comment about letting the plant go an extra 3-10 days would be an increase in weight. I've harvested over 30+ autoflower strains and messed around harvesting between days (72-120). The longer I waited to chop, it was ALWAYS a weight increase. Sometimes up to 15-25% extra total plant weight. The plants REALLY bulk up the last few weeks. They suck all the nutrients out of their leaves and put them into the buds. The biggest thing to watch for are the trichromes. And that comes down to personal preference, whether people want more of a sativa high or indica/couch lock high.

@Dabking, hey tanks for the info. how do i get more of the sativa high? when they are more clear or more "milky"

@Dabking, thanks for the input. To me the hardest part about growing is having the patience to let them fully finish. No regrets about this grow though.
