Mephisto -Aunt Ginny's Elixir

Week #1-Feb 24 to Mar 1 3/1-First week is off to a good start.

Week #2-Mar 2 to Mar 8 3/4-Off to a good start. 3/8-First 2 weeks went without a hitch. 4th node is starting. Plant looks healthy.

Week #3-Mar 9 to Mar 15 3/10-FIMMed between 4th and 5th node 3/12-FIM area is growing nicely and shows no adverse affects

Week #3-Mar 16 to Mar 22 3/16-Trimmed away some fan leaves that were covering growth below. 3/19-Plant is finally starting to stretch a bit. Runoff is EC 1.25 and 6.0 PH. 3/23-First signs of flowering. Will switch nutes to bloom next week.

Week #5-Mar 23 to Mar 29 3/23-Switched to Bloom nutes 3/26-Progressing nicely. Did some leaf tucking to get lights on early bud sites. She's definitely stretching now. Up to 10 inches. 3/28-Up to 11 inches now. Did some minor leaf tucking and clipped a few leaves to get more airflow and light into the middle of the plant. I think she's trimmed up nicely now for flowering mode. Next week I'll up the nute load. 3/30-End of a good week. Lots of stretching this week. Up to 13.5 inches now and growing fast. Lots of bud sites developing.

Week #6-Mar 30 to Apr 5 3/31-Changed nute recipe-dropped Tarantula, Piranha..added Nirvana, Bud X, Big Bud Coco. She's really stretching now. Up to 15 inches. Branches are spreading nicely with a little LST. Buds are starting to take shape. 4/2-Up to 18.5 inches now. Grew 3 inches in 2 days. Looking good. 4/6-First 7 weeks have gone well and I think the plant is well positioned for a big finish. She's now stretched 10 inches this week up to 25 inches. Lots of bud sites have developed and hopefully will stack nicely in the coming 3-4 weeks.

Week #7-Apr 6 to Apr 12 4/8-Increased nute load and watered to runoff. 4/9-Seems to have settled in at around 26-27 inches now. Buds are really starting to take shape and showing signs of stacking. So far so good I think. 4/13-Plant is progressing nicely. Buds are starting to get a little sticky and fragrant. Stacking is becoming more pronounced.

Week #8-Apr 14 to Apr 20 4/16-Continues to develop nicely. Buds are stacking and getting a bit more dense although they are still on the small side. I think she's probably got 3-4 weeks left in her. 4/18-Pistils are starting to turn color a bit. Still have a way to go. 4/20-Another good week of growth. Buds are gaining weight and density. Trichomes are getting frosty. Pistils are turning amber. I think she's still got 2-3 weeks to go.

Week #9-Apr 21 to Apr 27 4/23-Moving strongly to finish line. 4/25-Still moving 4/27-Buds continue to fatten and firm up. More and more pistils are turning color. I reckon she's got another couple of weeks in her to harvest. Next week I'll tweak the nute mix for the homestretch. Very curious to see how this one smokes when all is said and done.

Week #10-Apr 28 to May 4 4/28-Heading into the home stretch. Added Overdrive into the mix. Pistils are turning orange. Buds are getting more dense and frosty. 5/1-Trichomes are getting milky with early traces of amber on the top buds. I think we've got another 7-10 days before harvest. Will continue to monitor. 5/4-At the end of 10 weeks the buds are fattening and getting frostier and more dense. The trichomes are milky and starting to turn amber on the top buds but are not quite ready yet. I think we've got at least another week to go and I may start by harvesting the top of the main stalk and then letting the lower branches go a few days longer to catch up.

Week #11-May 5 to May 11 5/5-Last feeding today. Ambers have turned or are turning amber across all the major branches. The higher branches with the most amber. Tomorrow I'll start flushing with Ph balanced RO water and look to harvest at the end of the week around day 77. I'm hoping for a yield of 3-4 ounces and looking forward to seeing how this one smokes. 5/6-Did the first flush this morning and runoff was Ph 5.2/EC 1.75/1,200 ppm. The main cola was dominating the rest of the plant and getting quite amber and ready to be harvested. So this afternoon I chopped it down and put it in the Cool/Cure box to start drying. This allowed me to drop the lights much lower and get much more direct light to the rest of the plant which I'll look to take down in 5-6 days. I just started flushing so I guess this will wind up being a test of what/how much effect minimal flushing will have on taste and smoke. 5/7-Using the controlled drying environment of the Cannatrol Cool Cure box makes it very easy to better understand the dry cycle. I measured the first cut after harvest and then again after 24 hours to chart the rate of evaporation. After 24 hours in the dry box the bud had lost 31% of its weight. I'll continue to measure each day. 5/8-Flushed with 6.0 Ph RO water to EC .80 runoff. Leaves are definitely starting to turn yellow. Trichomes are getting amber but not quite there yet. Wet weight for harvested bud is 29.4 grams after 48 hours or 49% of wet weight after 1st cut. 5/11-First cut is almost dry. I've not watered in 3 days now and the plant is turning yellow and more of the buds are turning amber. I'll harvest the rest of the plant over the next 2-3 days.

Week #11-May 12 to harvest 5/12-Cut #1 dried for 6 days. Once trimmed it weight 12.9 grams which is 21% of the initial wet weight. The buds are very dense and very sticky! Did another cut today and placed in the Cool/Cure box to start 6-7 day dry. Will likely cut the rest of the plant in the next 2-3 days. No more water for the plant.

May 13-Day 79 The whole plant is harvested now and in the Cool/Cure box to dry. Final Wet Weight was 622.1 grams which is alot more than I was expecting. Based on the first cut, dry weight netted (21.1%) which if that holds steady means I'll get in excess of 4.5 ounces in the end. We shall see. I made a first cut a week previous which has dried and now curing. Buds on that one are super sticky and dense. I did an early taste test and the high was alot punchier than I would have expected. It will be interesting to see what the CBD to THC numbers are in the end. Will report back on final dry yield and taste test.
