1st week down. Day 1 placed in water. Durban Poison (DP) sprouted on day 3 and broke soil on day 4. Café Racer (CR) also sprouted on day 3 and broke soil on day 5. Wedding Cake (WC) never sprouted but broke soil on day 5. Pretty happy with the seeds. Was a little worried about WC because it cracked its shell and then sank in the water before sprouting. I planted it anyway and life found a way to survive. They get a sprits 2 times a day with 6.0 ph due to the medium likes to run closer to 6.9ph. So, I go a little more acidic to bring the ph levels to a happy 6.4ph in the medium. MOMs are living off the seed nutes and thriving. Was under 150ppfd, but once they broke soil placed them under 300ppfd full spec. They receive 600-1200ppm CO2 and maintain temp 77F-80F, RH 80% Domed and sprayed. When CO2 levels drop to 600 is during their night cycle. during day is 900-1200ppm. Having some troubles with my Air filter. The candles I burn for CO2 clog up the Carbon filter. Currently running without one and airing out the little bit of smell that leaks out of my closed loop system. May not need to run an air filter as the smell is not that bad. but I only have 2 flowering plants kicking out the smell so that could change. I'm going to try some gels to place in my duct work to mask the smell and see how that works.
It will be some time before I can add Pineapple Express to the other moms. The Pineapple Express is in another grow diary about 3 weeks ahead of these plants and the mom I will introduce to this grow will be a clone from that seed plant. Probably 2 or 3 weeks from now.
@Jaked, Thank you I wanted a bit of variety. Durban Poison 100% sativa, Cafe Racer 70/30, Pineapple Express 60/40, and Wedding Cake 20/80, Sativa/Indica ratios. One to keep me up and one to knock me out and everything inbetween lol.
The purpose of high Rh is only to keep the seed shell moist, the minute you see the cotyloden leave is when drop Rh, the back of the leaves have small mouths called stomata if the water content of the air is above 70% the stomata will start to close to prevent suffocation.
Bacterial growth explodes above 77f, throw in moisture for any length of time with a Rh of 70+ is asking for trouble.
Good luck.
Put a wet towel. This will keep up a much more stable RH. As the plants will such in that mist, u know what you're doing so. Whatever works. Good luck with your strains some nice 1
