4 Strains 1 Tent - Electric Boogaloo

Sorry for the month long lack of updates, March was a little crazy on my end, but you’ve got my commitment to weekly updates from here on out! You may notice a change in the lineup of strains. I had originally started with Peyote Gorilla as my 4th strain, unfortunately, I popped 3 seeds, and 3/3 never managed more than a 1/4 inch tap root and never broke soil when planted. Huge disappointment for me, and as such, unfortunately I cannot recommend Peyote Gorilla. This is the first time I have ever had a seed fail (and we’re talking out of 100+ seeds over many years now) 3/3 failing in the same pack was a huge blow. And while thankfully those seeds were free to me, it’s not a risk I’m willing to take in the future. Luckily, I had a few other strains on hand, so I was able to sub with Purple Ghost Candy (she popped right away, no issues!) that said, she’s a full 2 weeks behind the others and will be limited to whatever vegetative growth she can achieve in the next 4 weeks as I’m on a bit of time crunch with these. The other 3 have been doing great, Banana Jealousy looks a little worse for wear in the pics, but she’s still recovering from topping and a little overwatering over the weekend. Blue Dream, Banana Jealousy, and Lemonchello were all topped last week. If Purple Ghost Candy keeps her current growth rate, I’ll most likely top her this weekend. I do plan to do a second topping for the first 3, we’ll see on the PGC since she’s got less time overall. I’m including links below to each of these strains in case you want to check them out. A fantastic week in the 4x4! Some really solid growth across the board! I transplanted all 4 into their final 5 gal grow bags. It was huge mess lol and I’ll probably go from 1 gals to 5 gals next run and skip the 3 gals altogether. I also incorporated some pretty heavy LST and some selective defoliation at the same time as the transplant. That was yesterday and all are responding exceptionally well. I held off on the LST (and defoliation) for the Purple Ghost Candy, and instead topped her after the transplant. She’s showing a little more stress than the other 3, but HST compared to LST so it makes sense. I’m sure she’ll bounce back today or tomorrow. She’ll get about a week or so to recoup then I’ll work on some LST and possibly some selective defoliation as needed. My goal is to time the 2nd topping of all 4 together, but that may or not be possible given time constraints. We’ll see what nature has in store for us this week and go from there! Fantastic week in the 4x4. Lots of beautiful lush growth. I did miss a feeding one day while sick, so Banana Jealousy is looking a little sad, but she’ll perk back up after this morning’s watering. So far she has been the least resilient of all of them. Nothing bad, I’ve just noticed Blue Dream and Lemonchello have really thrived (especially Lemonchello!), and Banana Jealousy has been a little slower to catch up. Purple Ghost Candy is doing phenomenal, I topped her last week and she’s ready for some LST to start spreading her out. I plan to do a 2nd topping for the other 3 later today, and it all goes well, I will do another topping of PGC next week. I’ll be introducing the net this week, so really looking forward to seeing these ladies spread out and fill that tent! Very excited to see what growth the week will bring! Another fantastic week in the 4x4. The 3 older plants have all responded well to the 2nd topping last week. Purple Ghost Candy was doing fantastic so I went ahead and topped her for the 2nd time last night. If all goes well I plant to flip to 12/12 next week! I have had to do quite a bit of defoliation but all have responded exceptionally well. So far canopy coverage seems on par with my last few grows, with most gaps around the younger plant (PGC). I’m hoping the 2nd topping helps her branch out wider so we can get a nice wall to wall spread, but hopefully if she doesn’t quite get there this week she’ll catch up in the stretch. I don’t plan to do this week much aside from necessary defoliation here and there as needed. I want them to be as healthy as possible before the transition next week. It’s been a solid week in the 4x4. Purple Ghost Candy has recovered from her 2nd topping and is doing well. The other 3 have been doing phenomenally, each has fully covered their quadrant and we’re getting a nice full canopy. PGC is a little behind, but she was started 2-3 weeks later so to be expected. I’m hoping she fills out her area over the stretch. Flipping to 12/12 today, so very excited to see them transition! A great first transition week in the 4x4. We’ve finally got a full canopy, so look forward to seeing it continue to grow and get more full. All 4 plants are responding exceptionally well, they are all extremely bushy, but I’m doing my best to hold off on defoliation until the end of next week. That’s when I plan to lollipop, so don’t want to intervene too much until then. Lots of tucking and adjusting in the meantime. Very excited to see what this next week brings, and very curious as to how much these ladies will continue to stretch in the coming weeks! If they add a few more inches I’ll consider adding a 2nd net to keep things even and supported, no but we’ll cross that bridge when we get there. Solid week in the 4x4. All are stretching nicely, although Blue Dream seems a little less motivated in her vertical growth. Purple Ghost Candy has now fully caught up and is definitely flourishing. We’ve got a great dense wall to wall canopy. I noticed Lemonchello Haze, Purple Ghost Candy, and Banana Jealousy were all packing on some decent height, so I added a 2nd net about a foot above the first one yesterday to help even things out and provide some extra support. These are all super dense and bushy, so my goal is to do a pretty solid defoliation/lollipop later this week. Very excited to see how they continue to grow and stretch throughout this week. Fantastic week in the 4x4! All plants have responded remarkably well to the lollipopping. I also incorporated a very heavy defoliation when lollipopping that really opened up the interior of each plant. I’m hoping this helps maximize light penetration and airflow. I think this will be especially beneficial for the Banana Jealousy and Blue Dream. Both had so much undergrowth it was a mess. All in all I think I spent about 2 1/2- 3 hours Lollipopping and defoliating. My goal is to leave them alone for the most part until a week or 2 before harvest, at which point I’ll strip a good bit more of the leaves. Blue Dream definitely sits shorter than her tent mates, just barely reaching the 2nd net, but her internodal spacing is super tight, and I think she’s going to produce some real whoppers by harvest! I remain incredibly impressed by Purple Ghost Candy, she’s 3 weeks younger than the rest but you couldn’t tell at this point! Very excited to see what growth the week brings! Everything is looking good in the 4x4. Did some defoliating this week and really liking how they are coming. Excited for what the next week brings!

Solid week in the 4x4, hoping these buds continue to pack on weight these last 4 weeks. I’ll probably do another heavy defoliation in a few weeks, just to make harvest easier on myself since I’m semi rushed for time. Hard harvest date of 6/28 since I’m going out of town. Another solid week in the 4x4! Time is flying by! Down to less than 3 weeks until harvest. Finishing up late stage nutes this week and moving into ripen next week. Nugs are looking nice and fat and frosty, so all and all I’m definitely pleased! Starting to smell great too! Excited to see what the next week brings, happy growing!

The final stretch is here! All 4 are looking absolutely gorgeous, there’s a beautiful fade from where they’re using up the last of their nutrients. Banana Jealousy is an absolute beauty, but honestly all 4 are finishing amazingly and completely covered in frosty trichs. Harvest is Friday morning, and flushing until then. I do plan to introduce some ice water today and tomorrow, just to see if there’s any additional last minute color pop.
